** In-canon, Welf is Bell's BestFriend and a member of the Hestia Familia. But in this story, Welf stays in Rakia rather than following Bell to Orario due to the Legiones' patronage. ** Due to having the patronage and encouragement of the Legiones, Welf has not yet left for Orario and opens his door to Bell and Kojiro at the Imperial Legate's behest. He also gives Bell his Pyonkichi armor as a gift, long before Bell would have originally purchased it from him in Orario. Welf is also Level 2, which he attributes to experiences that probably cut his life short by several weeks.

** Oryou flashes this at Araki for injuring Ryoma, and the KillingIntent everyone feels from it is suffocating and even hardened adventurers pale at the sight of her rage.

* GutFeeling: The Radiance has a skill that improves her gut instinct to the level of a sixth sense, allowing her to get a feel for the best course of action. Kojiro says that if her instinct tells her to do something, it's wise to follow it.

** Oryou calls Haruhime "Haru", which shows that she cares deeply about her personally rather than through obligation.
** Brunhilde tells Bell to call him "Brun" because they're going to be {{best friend}}s. But this takes a somewhat sinister undertone as she tells him this while dragging him off to master his magic by making him use it over and over while forcing him to drink Mind Potions so he doesn't die.

* BeneathTheMask: Odin's Valkyries are popular {{Idol Singer}}s who capture the hearts of the people of Altena and beyond with their beauty, voices, and gentle personalities. Out of earshot, they're coarse, eager to beat the crap out of anyone who disturbs the peace, and sneer at those stupid enough to start a fuss at one of their concerts.

* ItGetsEasier: Defied. When Bell tells [[spoiler:Artoria]] he wishes the pain of killing and committing less than moral acts goes away, she tells him he shouldn't think like that. As by keeping the guilt he can still be 'human', with Bell ultimately coming to accept the burden of ItNeverGetsAnyEasier instead.

* JerkassGod: Susanoo, who'd like to see the Far East turned into something resembling Telskyura, an isolationist country where people fought and killed each other to produce the strongest warriors. Despite this, he too is a FatherToHisMen, which is why he hasn't escalated into outright CivilWar yet. There's also Tsukuyomi, whose obsession with order is so strong that she wants to get rid of Amaterasu, and by extension Oryou.
