* GondorCallsForAid: It is nice to see a bunch of the people Andoriol helped ask after his health and for his return [[spoiler: after the Inquisition takes him. Hardly risk-free in 40K.]]

* ShoutOut: A few, particularly Ordnatus' activation phrase. [[Anime/TheBigO Cast in the Name of God, Ye Not Guilty]].

* RageAgainstTheMentor: Andoriol to Lydia Veyla, after [[spoiler: she has him tortured.]]
* ShoutOut: A few, particularly Ordnatus' activation phrase. [[Anime/TheBigO Cast in the Name of God, Ye Not Guilty]].Guilty]].
* SuperSoldier: Captain Titus, as an Astartes.
* WrenchWhack: Not literally so far, but Andoriol has some unconventional shortcuts to the usual Mechanicus rites of repair.

Added DiffLines:

* BeYourself: Andoriol walks a fine line between assimilating into Mechanicus culture enough not to dragged out and shot, and not drinking the kool-aid. In particular, in being nice to menials and taking shortcuts in rituals to appease the Machine Spirits when he can.

Added DiffLines:

* TheIdealist: Andoriol is pretty averagely jaded for a contemporary figure. In 40K, that makes him a wide-eyed idealist.
* InsanelyForgiving: Andoriol is willing to forgive people who are about to torture and MindRape him.
* MachiavelliWasWrong: When other tech-priests cut rations, whip and eventually execute menials, Andoriol's first question is what positive incentives are they being offered.
* NonActionGuy: Before awakening and piloting Ordnatus' Andoriol's primary contribution to the fight was running and hiding. Not that he lacks courage, but violence doesn't really come naturally to him.
* NiceGuy: Andoriol, being a relatively well-adjusted example of M2 humanity, goes out of his way to treat everyone with kindness and respect. Peers, Guard, menials, cloned prostitutes, even psykers.

* HumongusMecha: Ordnatus. He's smaller than most examples, and pint-sized compared to any Titan, but definitely qualifies.

A TabletopGame/Warhammer40000 SelfInsert fanfic. Can be read [[https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/imperial-von-neuman-wh40k-si.439615/ Here.]]

Andoriol Phi 2319 is not really a hero. On falling through the warp from Terra in the Third Millenium to the forgeworld Iacoria in the Forty-First, he wisely decided to keep his head down, survive, and make the best living he could as a tech-priest.

Then Chaos invaded Iacoria, survival meant self-promoting to pilot of an Imperial Knight, and Andoriol was catapulted to the attention of the Inquisition.

!! Imperial Von Neuman datastream contains examples of:
* AllThereInTheManual: A character sheet given at the beginning helpfully describes Andoriol's implants... and some minor psychic powers that haven't come up in the story.
* BecauseISaidSo: Inquisitor Veyla's general attitude.
* BloodKnight: Ordnatus had a personality, one that revolves almost entirely around killing the enemies of the Imperium.
* CyberneticsEatYourSoul: Averted, thus far.
* Flashback: There's one to explain how Andoriol got to where he was on Iacoria, when the story started.
* GoodIsNotNice: Andoriol is by no means blind to the flaws of the Imperium, but it's all mankind has in a hostile universe.
* HandCannon: Ordnatus has one, emphasis on the cannon.
* HyperspaceIsAScaryPlace: Andoriol's brief exposure to the Warp remains one of his most terrifying memories.
* ShoutOut: A few, particularly Ordnatus' activation phrase. [[Anime/TheBigO Cast in the Name of God, Ye Not Guilty]].
