It was only after witnessing their alliance against Amon, and exhausting the options her primitive mindset could make (even thinking she can make alliances with the other galactic superpowers despite knowing absolutely nothing about them) she broke down in front of Valerian and accepted the fact they needed to surrender or face the wrath of the titan they provoked.

Thus when The Empire and denizens of Falmart witness the Dominion’s and eventually Protoss’s extremely advanced technology, they always misinterpret it as magic and deem those who use it as powerful mages, due to their primitive and ignorant nature. When seeing their starships, military vehicles, mechs and aircrafts think they’re all metallic beasts, while after witnessing their weapons of mass destruction firsthand, think it’s the wrath of their own gods.

** The Dominion and Protoss feel their blood turn cold as they detected a rogue Zerg leviathan heading straight for Falmart to invade and devour the defenseless planet of all essence.
** Matt and Valerian panic slightly when they realize the Haryo tribe have smuggled Zerg samples to foolishly attempt to weaponize them, when all they will end up doing is jumpstarting the nightmare they barely stopped.
* LoadsAndLoadsOfRaces: Something the Terran’s and Protoss note in their studies of Falmart, was how there are so many races in this world, even though scientifically it’s impossible for a planet to produce no more than three humanoid species at most. Yet it’s concluded the gate had a hand in this ecological anomaly, as it’s purpose was deemed to introduce new humanoid species to enter Falmart and rejuvenate the biodiversity of the planet. Which the Saderan empire attempted to abuse for conquest of new lands and slaves. But would’ve been fruitless given the gate wasn’t meant to bridge two worlds for more than a few months without causing catastrophic problems.

* StupidEvil: Zorzal perfectly personifies this as the man continually refused to admit defeat like his father did and pointlessly waged an idiotic war against the Terrans and later Protoss. Even after seeing that the former, and later the latter, have time and time again shown their civilizations are literally ''eons'' more advanced and powerful than the armies of his backwater and primitive homeworld, his deluded and bloated ego combined with his plain-out idiocy refuses to acknowledge this painfully obvious fact and believes their superior might are just illusions and keeps deeming them as "cowardly barbarians" due to ''constantly'' misinterpreting restraint and mercy as weakness. A problem the rest of the empire and his faction seem to suffer from. As if his foolishness couldn’t reach further depths, he and the Haryo tribe even believed he and what’s left of his faction could control the Zerg at some point, thinking they are just “simple minded beasts" when they literally almost devoured all of Sadera in a couple hours, if not for the Protoss and Dominion’s aid; including Kerrigan’s intervention at the last minute. But eventually this all comes to bite him back in the most horrific way possible. But again he brought it on himself so little pity is warranted.

On top of not wanting to risk upsetting the Protoss for unjustly attacking an underdeveloped world. Thus the whole time he was just hoping this could all end in a peaceful resolution once they caught the perpetrators. But that all changed when he learned that the empire had enslaved a good handful of his citizens they kidnapped in their attempted invasion. Then when learning of the horrific atrocities these savages had done to the enslaved Dominion citizens, decided ''enough was enough''. After freeing all Dominon slaves and killing all the scum who brutally tormented them, Valerian ordered a nuke to be dropped on a slaver city for all of Flamart to witness. Warning them this would happen to every part of Falmart until they surrendered.
* UpsettingTheBalance: Hardy and the fellow Falmart gods are guilty of this once the Terrans and Protoss uncover the gates true purpose. That being to lure unsuspecting and young species from different universes that catch the Falmart pantheon’s fancy, and basically kidnap the migrated population to later become permanently apart of their garden. Not to mention they have prevented the civilizations of their world from progressing beyond the Medieval era, in order to maintain their dependence on them and gain strength from worshipping them. Once the Daelaam learn of these abuses of power, and the source of all this chaos, they are quick to confront Hardy in her own temple, and using a cage designed for void based beings, imprison her to be judged for her galactic level crimes by the Protoss council.

Which the Saderan empire attempted to abuse for conquest of new lands and slaves. But even if it never opened in the Dominon, their invasion would’ve never worked out given the gate wasn’t meant to bridge two worlds for more than a few months.

* MedievalMorons: The empire are basically a fantasy version of the Roman Empire, who have barely even understand the basics of metallurgy, much less science and physics. Thus when the empire and denizens of Falmart witness the Dominion’s and eventually Protoss’s extremely advanced technology, they always misinterpret it as magic and deem those who use it as powerful mages, due to their primitive and ignorant nature. And when seeing their starships and weapons of mass destruction firsthand, think it’s the wrath of their own gods.

Such as multiple medical corporations researching Tuka’s elven genetics to try being able to replicate her race’s incredible longevity.

** Pina despite having her father’s wisdom in certain aspects, was just as ignorant and arrogant as the rest of her people and believed they could defeat the Dominion with enough time and resources. But was sorely mistaken as she and Bozes get a front-row seat to just how ''vastly'' superior their "enemy" is in comparison to their backwater world when they visit Austugard. It was only after witnessing their alliance against Amon, and exhausting the options her primitive mindset could make (even thinking she can make alliances with the other galactic superpowers despite knowing absolutely nothing about them) she broke down in front of Valerian and accepted the fact they needed to surrender or face the wrath of the titan they provoked.

* MagicVersusScience: The magic-wielding Empire vs. the technologically advanced Dominion. Though later it’s revealed that the Empire’s magic may simply be psionic powers born from Khaydarin crystals within the planet. Eventually the Dominon’s science obviously overcomes the Falmarts mystical arts and has even begun studying them to decipher its secrets. Such as Tuka’s elven genetics to try being able to replicate their incredible longevity.
* MindManipulation: Rath used this to calm the Rose Knights. Later Rath subtly uses this on Yao when she wishes to sleep with him and to misdirect her into Tuka’s tent instead, and leads to a very embarrassing situation for the dark elf.

* TheGlovesComeOff: Valerian Mengsk had for the majority of the operation regarding getting justice for the attack on Austugard by the empire, decided to act more mercifully than the populace who demanded to outright glass their world for the primitive armies massacre. But this mercy was due to not only wanting to be better than what they’re aggressors had done, but also wanted to prevent critics to attack him for being like his tyrannical father. On top of not risk upsetting the Protoss for unjustly attacking an underdeveloped world. And as peace talks progressed he was hoping this could all end in a peaceful resolution once they caught the perpetrators. But that all changed when he learned that the empire had enslaved a good handful of his citizens they kidnapped in their attempted invasion. Then when learning of the horrific atrocities these savages had done to the enslaved citizens of the Dominon, decided enough was enough. After freeing all Dominon slaves and killing the scum who tormented them, Valerian ordered a nuke to be dropped on a slaver city for all of Flamart to see; and warned them this would happen to every part of Falmart until they surrendered.

* AndIMustScream: [[spoiler: Zorzal's ultimate fate from his foolishness and arrogance. He's left as a horrendously malformed Zerg infested hybrid who's in constant and excruciating pain while unable to move or speak. While Pina will eventually let him die out of mercy, she intends for him to live at least a decade or two as punishment for all his numerous crimes. Forcing him to witness the new era he could’ve been apart of if not for his hubris. Making him an example of what happens when one chooses a path of pride and insatiable greed]].

* BullyingADragon: Zorzal already shows that he's not the sharpest tool in the shed when he brazenly provokes the Dominion, a space-faring civilization with interstellar fleets that could easily glass an entire planet, with nothing more than a bunch of sword wielding legions and monsters. But he takes his stupidity to the unfathomable level when he has his equally moronic ambassador try to threaten [[spoiler: Selendis]] into allowing his forces to enslave all of the [[spoiler:''Protoss'', a psionic race that even the Dominion themselves recognize to be far ahead of them,]] during the ransom negotiations for [[spoiler:Karax release]] that Pina set up. Unsurprisingly, Pina waste no time in clarifying that Zorzal is not affiliated with her people in any way to avoid facing the collateral damage from her brothers seemingly infinite stupidity.
* BreakTheHaughty: The empire as a whole fits the bill, as everything that happens to them in this story was brought on by their greed and hubris. The Empire had remained undefeated for centuries and as a result, they believed themselves to be unbeatable and the pinnacle of civilization, when they were in actuality becoming a barbaric empire that believed they owned everything around them. Rory even remarks to herself that the empire was becoming a rotting tree threatening to ruin the Falmart god’s garden. And when the gate opened up, they believed they could send armies to conquer a world of backwater barbarians for riches and glory as they had before. Only to face the wrath of the spacefaring Terran Dominion for believing they could raid their capital city and get away with it. Needless to say after several months of decimating their armies, vassel states, and nuking a city, the Empire’s haughty mindset shatters completely,and barring Zorzal’s faction, surrenders to the galactic superpower.
