* BalefulPolymorph: An invention causes Ferb to become a dog with no way to turn back immediately.

* RightForTheWrongReasons: Phineas picks up on “Ferb's” unusual behavior in “Stolen Identity” pretty quickly. However he thinks Ferb is just tired (and later has lost his mind) rather than replaced by an EvilTwin.
* SpotTheImposter: In “Stolen Identity”, Ferb is replaced by a double for some unexplained but evil purpose. Said double spends the rest of the story [[OOCIsSeriousBusiness acting so unlike Ferb that Phineas eventually thinks he's lost his mind]] and becomes completely terrified of his beloved stepbrother…meaning he fails this trope for most of the story. Fortunately he eventually figures out which is the real Ferb and the pair escape, leaving the evil double [[WhatHappenedToTheMouse with the invention he needed Phineas to build for a reason we're never told]].
* TheMindIsAPlaythingOfTheBody: Discussed but defied in “Species Is a Constant”. Ferb has no intentions of acting like a dog and in fact, spends the rest of the story acting distinctly un-doglike.
* TrustPassword: In “Stolen Identity”, Phineas does an impromptu one on [[EvilTwin Ferb's replacement]], asking him about the day they first met. Different from the typical example in that the first time he asks this question, he doesn't realize he's talking to an impostor (rather he thinks Ferb's gone mad) and wants reassurance that Ferb is still the person he loves. Later the real Ferb answers the question (Phineas insisted on saving Ferb some cake if you're wondering) much to Phineas' obvious relief.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: In “Stolen Identity”, we are never told what becomes of the Ferb impostor, where he came from or why he needed Phineas to build the device he had blueprints for (or what said device does for that matter).

** “Timeloops”: Phineas gets to think his brother will forget him in the future, Future Ferb blames himself for temporarily erasing his best friend from time and Future Phineas lost track of Ferb after coming back from deletion.
** “Ghosts”: Phineas is lead to believe Ferb died in an explosion while Ferb slowly realizes he's invisible to the world and can't reassure Phineas.
** “Stolen Identity”: Ferb has his identity stolen and has to watch the impostor abuse Phineas while Phineas slowly devolves into utter terror of the person he thinks is Ferb.
** “Stuck Like Brothers”: Ferb slowly loses control of his body and possibly will cease to exist as a person. Phineas blames himself for this and has several bad dreams about the results of this escapade.
** “Mind-Trapped”: Ferb is stuck in his own head in a world where he doesn't exist nor does his father and his mother and siblings don't recognize him. Phineas blames himself for Ferb's coma and worries himself sick until Ferb awakens.
** “Species Is a Constant”: Ferb blames himself for turning into a dog. Then when Ferb disappears, Phineas spends the remainder of the story until he's found in an utter panic.
** “Lifeleap”: Phineas is terribly distressed at the possibility that he and Ferb could stop being close as they grow up; this is so bad that he tells a teenage Ferb that he isn't his (Phineas') brother, landing said teenager in this trope. Then once Phineas moves past his fear, he becomes indirectly responsible for teen Ferb breaking his leg and thought he might have caused worse for a while.
