* ButForMeItWasTuesday: [[AvertedTrope Averted]]. Although their first conversation was presumably nowhere ''near'' as profound or life altering for her as it was for Naruto, Hinata shows recognition of its occurrence during their second conversation two years later.

* AllThereInTheManual: Aside from the story itself, there are two sections that come with almost every chapter that help to further explain/define terms used within the fic.
** The denshi jisho (review) is used at the start of each chapter to define the various Japanese words/terms the authors use in the fic.
** KJ's Corner is used at the end of each chapter to further explain or refresh on specific terms and abilities that are used in the chapter.

* BloodKnight: Naruto [[LampshadeHanging remarks to himself]] that he probably comes across as such during his match with [[spoiler:Hinata]] during the Chunin Exams Finals. This is especially prominent during the second half of the fight after [[spoiler:Hinata removes her blindfold]], wherein he's effectively getting filleted by [[spoiler:Hinata]] but ''cannot'' keep the stupid grin off of his face.

** [[spoiler:Hinata's]] reaction to being told [[spoiler:she's]] standing in the middle of Naruto's first [[BloodMagic blood seal]] [[spoiler:during their fight in the Chunin Exams Finals.]]

Come his first match with [[spoiler:Hinata]], he knows enough about [[spoiler:Juuken]] that despite the differences in [[spoiler:Hinata's]] own rendition of the fighting style, he manages to maneuver [[spoiler:her]] onto his Five Senses Seal even while [[spoiler:she believes that she's avoided letting him do so.]]

* AttentionWhore: Much like his canon counterpart, Naruto craves the acknowledgement and attention of those around him to the point that he's willing to completely embarrass himself to receive. Several of his "Pranking Rules" reflect this attitude.

** [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]] by Naruto, in that his incredible skill with fuinjutsu is undermined by his complete disinterest in improving his utterly ''atrocious'' taijutsu. This changes after Kakashi makes a point of demonstrating ''exactly'' how much that attitude is crippling Naruto's combat effectiveness during the Wave Mission. After that, Naruto begins to rapidly improve to the point that he defeats [[spoiler:Neji during the Second Round Preliminaries of the Chunin Exams.]]

** Driven by [[spoiler:Itachi's]] statement that only the strongest kunoichi could garner Sasuke's interest, Sakura finds the drive to become strong enough to nearly defeat [[spoiler:Sasuke in the Second Round Preliminaries of the Chunin Exams.]]

* BadassBoast: Naruto is fond of these, but the clincher is what he says after he successfully activates his [[spoiler:Gentle Fist]] Seal on [[spoiler:Neji during their fight in the Second Round Preliminaries of the Chunin Exams.]]

The closer one's position in the family is to either position, the closer the color of their attire is to pure black or white. The standard Hyuuga uniform is grey.
