* PeggySue: {{Deconstructed|Trope}} by being turned UpToEleven. While Shinji came back, [[spoiler: so did everyone else, just not from the same universe]]. As such, most of the conventions of the Peggy Sue fanfic are quickly or immediately broken. Shinji's plan, in typical Evangelion fashion, comes crashing down on top of him.

* AxeCrazy: Asuka. [[spoiler: What does she do to a younger version of herself while being [[MindRape Mind Raped]] by Arael? Strangle her to death.]]

* DemonicPossession: [[spoiler:Arael comes much earlier, and possesses Rei and Unit 00.]]

What starts out as a standard "Shinji Ikari goes back in time to fix everything" fic quickly becomes something else entirely when Shinji realizes that everyone, friends, coworkers, [[OhCrap Angels]] seems to have also come back in time to make their own changes and create their ideal future. Time travel just [[RealityEnsues got]] [[HilarityEnsues hard]]...

* JerkassWoobie: Asuka gets this even worse then in canon, [[spoiler: since in her timeline, everything went wrong: the angel fights always resulted in massive civilian causalities; Rei and unit 00 were destroyed early on and her clones were used as disposable shock troops until they ran out; Shinji broke and willingly let himself be absorbed into Unit One after it went Berserk one too many times; and other pilots that NERV and SEELE brought in met similar, and horrific, fates.]].

* BadAss: Asuka's battle against Gaghiel went like this: the Angel trains water drills, poisonous ink, high voltage electricity, decoy lighting and razor sharp teeth, all underwater, all against a girl who is supposedly inexperienced. Asuka destroys it [[spoiler:and eats its S2 organ]], with ease and without her power umbilical.
** Many of the time travellers too. [[spoiler: Rei takes down Ireul possessing the Jet Alone (with some help from Misato), and Hikari sneaks into Terminal Dogma in order to take DNA from Lilith. So she can make a new dog with it.]]

** Gaghiel then shows up to fight Asuka, and is sorely defeated, but not for lack of trying: see {{BadAss}} above.

* AGodAmI: Shinji [[spoiler:in Rei's timeline]]. He rescued Rei from an Angel that absorbed her soul, but the result was Third Impact]]

Once Shinji decided not to return from Unit One after Zeruel, things spiraled down from their. Rei used up all her clones trying to help, all of the other children died, Seele had to come out to help, and finally, Asuka failed and Third Impact was initiated on the Angel's terms.]]

* ActionSurvivor: In any other Peggy Sue fic, Shinji would have been TheAce. In this Fic He's barely able to keep up. Rei routienly pulls off mind-blowing tricks with her Eva and AT-Field that even the Angels (in the orginal series, at least) weren't capable of, While Asuka is just plain ''[[AxCrazy Nu]][[UnstoppableRage ts]]''

* JerkAss: Asuka gets this even worse then in canon.
