On the Axis side, their {{evil counterpart}}s happens to be the [[{{Touhou}} Gensokyo]] Battalion (a misonomer - they used to specialize in deception - hence their name), who recently adapted the [[BulletHell "danmaku"]] tactic.

* CaptainErsatz: Not [[MetalGearSolid4 Raging Raven.]]

* AlternateHistory - The technology level is akin to MetalGear, with modern day vehicles and weapons used alongside soldiers in full body armor rating at Class V and beyond, and there are mechs. albeit crappy.

* CaptainErsatz - All of ASB wears armor inspired by other games. Example: Primetime wears [[MetalGear Octocamo]], [[MetalGear SILENCE wears FROG Trooper gear,]] and so on.

* HumongousMecha - Handled realistically. The King Oni and Riese units are primarily meant for psychological warfare (seriously, seeing a hulking mountain of steel bristling with cannons and rocket pods headed toward your already-battered squad is terrifying). It's both AwesomeYetPractical and AwesomeYetImpractical - They're capable of holding their own against mechanized armor, but they're huge targets, their legs are weak (and are ultimately their doing-in), they're vulnerable to hi-jacking, they're slow (compared to an Abrams or Scorpion tank or T-90), and they're exorbitantly expensive. Even Hitler who loved the ridiculous Maus tanks (and so on) hates the designs and cost. And they're not really any better than {{Patlabor}} mecha, except for the MetalGear REX ersatz.

* SchizoTech - Think of it as a mish-mash of the 2020s and TheNineties. Only PMCs and CBR have high-tech stuff that wouldn't be out of place in MetalGear or a Ghost Recon game, but the average US Army grunt is as decked out as a soldier in Gulf War Two, aside from somewhat better armor and Land Warrior that actually works. Cybernetic implants are present, but only the best can afford effective combat replacements and they're very unwieldy otherwise. What few satellites are up tend to be intercepted by lasers, or have been destroyed (the Nazis threw up an orbital denial debris field), and both sides constantly run UAVs and spy planes to make up for it. You also have laser weaponry, but few and far between - Primetime carries a laser rifle straight out of a StarWars film and an automated turret. It's AwesomeButImpractical.

No one really knows what exactly they are or who they belong to, and they're not exactly pleased at the fact they're out in the open instead of waging black ops war. * WorldWarOne - Equivalent to the VietnamWar here. Still ended badly for the Germans, otherwise, we wouldn't have much of a plot, now would we?

No one really knows what exactly they are or who they belong to, and they're not exactly pleased at the fact they're out in the open instead of waging black ops war. Yet another defector. After a falling out with the Irish government, he decided to steal a few Nazi documents and escape to Britain. A good friend of Fish. Extremely pragmatic and old-fashioned, using old-but-reliable weaponry and improvised body armor.

* ElegantGothicLolita - Played straight and mocked. Agent T51R (who looks like BlackLagoon's Gretel), who had spent the last days in the area watching Nazi movements, had her last clothes ruined by a bombing. It's about as practical as being naked in the field, and attracts snipers and often gets snagged on something.

* HauntedCastle - Castle Wolfenstein, which isn't really haunted. It does, however, have nasty biological experiments and tests that would make Mengele curl up in a corner and send Unit 731 screaming from the room.

Canadian Army Captain Gordon Smith, a hapless officer placed in charge of the motley crew of of the Allied Special Battlion, a slapdash cast of mercenaries from various corporations and soldiers from various militaries, ranging from lowly US Marines to high-tech corporate troopers, attempts to avoid getting killed. And frankly, he's not sure of who'll be the first to do it - the RagtagBunchOfMisfits under his commands, or the Axis.

Signed up with a Japanese PMC after the Imperial Japanese Army reported her boyfriend, who had been in the same PMC, missing in action. Shortly after, her PMC "defected" - taking up a hefty paycheck from the UnitedStates after the IJA tried to screw them out of some cash via new laws. Continues to investigate what little evidence is there.

* SchizoTech - Think of it as a mish-mash of the 2020s and TheNineties. Only PMCs and CBR have high-tech stuff that wouldn't be out of place in MetalGear or a Ghost Recon game - the rest have equipment around the level of your average grunt in TheNineties Cybernetic implants are present, but only the Nazis use them - and [[BodyHorror the results aren't pretty]]... [[NightmareRetardant or effective]]. What few satellites are up tend to be intercepted by lasers, or have been destroyed (the Nazis threw up an orbital denial debris field). You also have laser weaponry (only for anti-projectile/anti-armor/mine-clearing, but Primetime carries a laser turret and a laser rifle).

The Axis are pretty sure he's not the mole - he's too obvious.

* ScreamingWarrior - The Russians and Japanese. See what happens when they clash. CBR does it occasionally, but Jay usually ruins the moment by [[{{Narm}} laughing about how stupid they sound.]]

* TokenLoli - T51R. OlderThanTheyLook, and Rumbles catches a lot of flak for this (and she's also the butt of a lot of jokes by non-weeaboos).

** There are two Battles of the Bulge. The first occurs on England (and is repelled) - some German propagandist came up with that term. It's used for irony in the ''actual'' Battle of the Bulge.

* FallingIntoTheCockpit - Jack, The Master, Solstace, and Doom get hastily picked to counter a [[NeonGenesisEvangelion five specially built Axis mechs tearing Soviet tank battalions to shreds]]. (The only reason why they haven't been shot down is because the portion of the Army lacks sufficient firepower or back-up to damage them.) (Yes, they do play counterpart to the NGE expies. Scrappy versus Scrappy fights ensue, and Ikari and Jay keep getting tossed out of the cockpit as a RunningGag.]]

* SoulBrotha - PlayedWith in the case of Froggy - he's normal, but plays it up to amuse or confuse people he comes across.
* SpaceMarine - Jay tries to get Rumbles to change their name to "Spess Mehrens", and gives a terrible speech trying to copy the infamous meme.

* KickedUpstairs - By accident. The Canadian Government fully believes that the Central Reserve Battalion is a propaganda tool to demonstrate Allied tactics and tech superiority. They're only slightly right.

* BadassGrandpa - He's visibly old and still swings around a loaded battle rifle like a toy.

* GlassCannon - Would probably snap like a twig, but still tosses around men twice his size like ragdolls.

* ThisIsReality - Played for laughs (occasionally). T51R and Gertrude's pairing (and attraction to little girls) gets a lot of '''"WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!"''' from a lot of Allied soldiers (and a near court martial). CBR (and a lot of the other paramilitary battalions) are looked upon as weirdo nerds who played too much FPS games and like Japan way too much.
** Played for drama. Powered armor can, and does, lock up or malfunction, prototype weapons jam or cook-off, people screw up despite their training, and even the heaviest armor can still get destroyed by a Heer grunt with a G3A3 and enough ammo.
** Two characters - Gordon Smith and Daz (not related to [[{{ModernWarfare}} Gaz]]) actually sort of embody this. Both of them are attaches to CBR and Gaia, respectively, and don't have anything fancy to bring to the table - they wear standard armor from their respective armies, and use standard assault rifles with no attachments.

Another of RadioactiveZombie's "things he probably won't finish until he's in his thirties" works (he still hasn't progressed past eleven pages - and that's just on a piss-poor copy of D-Day), AlienSpaceBats and general wackiness aside, it's probably going to insult the memory of WWII - here, it's fought with today's tech and culture. (A bit of politics change, but still.)

Welcome to the beautiful island of VideoGame/{{Wolfenstein}}. It's... somewhere not particularly noted... but what you need to know: It's 1943. The Germans and Japanese, ever since their Anti-Comintern pact, have had control of the place for a long while. It's a perfect spot for weapons testing. It's also an important Axis stopping point to re-supplying or massing points.

Naturally, the Allies don't appreciate this.

A combined Allied fleet goes to assault the island - most Allied nations and quite a few Allied-hired mercenaries - to capture the island, disrupting supply routes, weapons research, and {{troll}}ing Hitler and his buddies.

Canadian Army Captain Gordon Smith, a hapless officer placed in charge of the motley crew of "Rumbles", a slapdash platoon of mercenaries from various corporations and soldiers from various militaries, ranging from lowly US Marines to high-tech corporate troopers, attempts to avoid getting killed. And frankly, he's not sure of who'll be the first to do it - the RagtagBunchOfMisfits under his commands, or the Axis.

On the other side of the island, Sturmscharführer Helmut Brasch of the Waffen-SS leads a coalition of German, Japanese, and Italian troops - both to look good for the propaganda machines back home, and to keep morale and image up for the rest of the Axis troops as the Allies breach the coastal defenses and make their way inland. Well, him and two odd Japanese officers, Hideki Haseo and Takeo Takehashi, and even with the combined firepower and newfangled weaponry of the Axis war machine, he wonders if his fight is to be doomed from the start.

** The Battle at Monte Cassino ends with the Ghukra[=/=]Indian force. RZ is still thinking of a reason for their victory.
* ArmorIsUseless - Subverted, averted, and played straight. (No, I don't care that I'm using it wrong.) CBR is only ''barely'' [[MildlyMilitary an official part of the Coalition]], and a lot of the personnel either blow their cash on armor that doesn't fall apart after one shot, or were assigned it. PoweredArmor can soak up a ''lot'' of small arms fire, unless someone breaks out something with a bit more punch than 5.56.
* BadassGranpa - Sharp, to everyone except Captain England.

* BritishStuffiness - Definitely averted with the British personnel in Rumbles.
* CaptainErsatz - Four-Leaf Tactical is [[FourChan EXACTLY WHAT YOU THINK IT IS.]] Its spinoffs have been recently rebought under it (so 7chan bullshit and /i/nsurgency is also fucking around). They were almost hired by Germany, too, if the Axis wasn't planning on screwing them over - Krautchan's the defecting side that's working for Germany. SomethingAwful and shitloads of other boards play varying roles.
