Cut trope. Can't tell if its replacement trope or any others are applicable.

Similarly to the plot of AC VI, the saboteurs--both new and old--have once again returned. However, there is one problem: "Squeaky" Tressif can't be the true leader of the saboteurs. He has recently been appointed a position on Team Roo Island, under watchful eyes of the Altador Cup Committee and the saboteur camp. Whether or not he does have evil intentions, somewhere out there, a BiggerBad has risen to take his rightful place. His intentions: taking down the Cup, and for good this time.

After the high success of Roleplay/JellyneoAltadorCupVi, ending at an astounding 2950 pages, the Jellyneo Altador Cup Vii Roleplay was created exactly a year afterwards; May 24th, 2012. It is already running at a rapid pace, as over 500 pages have been accumulated with a combination of the veterans of last year (Moogi, Heric, Alexandria, Caleb, Ruko, Konata), as well as new roleplayers who have recently joined the ongoing craze (Fizzy, Mist, Gnats, Ramona).

.->'After much conflict, the band of Altador Cup players known as the anti-saboteurs were successfully able to stop 'Squeaky's saboteur reign; therefore saving the Altador Cup VI. Much relief was shared by them all, and although many were lost, and others showed their true colours--whether others wanted them to or not--it was a happy ending for many.

->However… even from the start, things weren't looking good. Though the saboteurs disbanded, 'Squeaky' made a valiant escape from anti-saboteur hands, and already, rumours point to him likely scheming up his next plan. In addition, rumours of a new group of saboteurs have been floating around Altador in the mere days before the Altador Cup VII, but just who would take the risk of reviving the saboteur practice? And for what reason?

->As the seventh Cup comes in sight, the anti-saboteurs of AC VI will soon find that their victory wasn't what they thought it out to be. With the return of familiar faces, and the reveal of other new faces, the Cup will find itself in more dangers than one could ever think.'

->--The prologue to the roleplay. Unlike it's predecessor, it already knows that it's SeriousBusiness.

After the high success of Roleplay/JellyneoAltadorCupVi, ending at an astounding 2950 pages, the Jellyneo Altador Cup Vii Roleplay was created exactly a year afterwards; May 24th, 2012. Whether or not he does have evil intentions, somewhere out there, a BiggerBad has risen to take his rightful place. His intentions: taking down the Cup, and for good this time.

However, it'll take more than PuttingTheBandBackTogether for the anti-saboteurs to prevail this time. As both old heroes and new join together against the saboteur cause, both parties will find that there's been a lot more thought and time put into this year's attempt to destroy their careers and even lives. For all they know... winning might not be the answer.

WARNING: Like last year, because most people who edit this will be up to date with the roleplay, spoilers will be left unmarked.

!!The Altador Cup Vii Roleplay provides examples of:

* AbusiveParents: Hassow was this for Itsuki (formerly Kazune). He would regularly deprive him of food and had no qualms about leaving the baby in the burning Colosseum.
** Kentaro Grelinek greeted his daughter, Mirsha, and his stepdaughter, Derlyn, at the airport by hitting them both. Onlookers were Understatement not amused.
* AerithAndBob
* AscendedExtra: This roleplay marks Hassow's finished progression from a minor villain who wasn't even named until halfway in the original to (arguably) the BigBad major antagonist.
** The other member of the Tsukimura-Cato alliance was just as bad, if not worse, as Clay was not even mentioned until the previous roleplay was almost over. It took an extra few months to find out what happened to trainees with saboteur tendencies.
* AvengingTheVillain: Congratulations, anti-saboteurs, you just defeated Yandere Kaine. Oh, wait...Hassow knows about this? And he's on the Committee now? OhCrap Oh, man...
* CreateYourOwnVillain: Though it was never her own intention to do so, a lot more happened from Valka accidentally revealing her magical form to Clay than anyone could have predicted. FromNobodyToNightmare A LoveMakesYouEvil lot DragonwithanAgenda more.
* DatingCatwoman: Zenor and Rosie, although SlidingScaleOfAntiVillains the degree of Rosie's villainy is debatable.
* DeadlyUpgrade: Valka ends up saving Vanessa by using Partial Kaine Transformation, but it's implied that had the battle lasted a few more minutes, she would've completely overloaded her current form and therefore Kaine's personality would permanently emerge. Needless to say, Layton makes her promise never to use said form again, no matter how desperate the situation gets.
* DreamLand: When the characters go to sleep, they enter a dream world in which they can interact with each other, manipulate the environment, and meet the authors.
* TheFaceless: Takeshi was this until his identity was revealed by Antola.
* FakeDefector: Zenor pretended to join the saboteurs in order to collect information from them.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: Antola and Zax.
** Zenor and Qlydae.

* LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters: All of the players, family members, and recurring original characters add up pretty quickly.
* MeaningfulRename: Mirsha changed Kazune's name to Itsuki to shed any remaining connections to his abusive father.
* MediumAwareness: The characters tend to notice font color changes.

* TrappedInVillainy: Omega is this, though her actual "villainous" acts are minimal and limited mainly to merely being associated with Starmoon. That is until Hassow gets tired of her more docile tendencies and she's implied to turn into a pretty nasty BrainwashedAndCrazy Faerie Star.
