If interpreted the right way, Digimon Zero Nine can be regarded as a continuation of the original two Digimon seasons, with about [[TimeSkip fifteen to twenty years having passed in-between.]] When a ruthless dictator begins terrorizing the Digi World, the old guard is sent back to kick ass once again.
The story encompasses several arcs, each with its own [[BigBad main antagonist.]] After an in-story two years [[TimeSkip time skip]], the series was continued in the slightly [[DarkerAndEdgier more mature and well-written]] Digimon Eleven. However, Digimon Eleven never went far beyond its first few chapters...
...that is, until recently, when Dingjun decided to revive the series in all its [[SoBadItsGood questionable]] glory.
It might soon see an online release; this will, however, have to wait until all the old chapters have been redrawn, due to the original drawings being not quite fit for a non-eight-years-old audience.
