The incident halted circulation of the videos and forced Hirohiko Araki to redraw the original manga to replace mosques that are destroyed throughout the story with secular buildings (i.e. a cell signal tower). Because of how prominent this incident was, both religiously and in the context of ''[=JJBA=]'', it's become next-to-impossible to discuss the [=OVAs=] without bringing this incident up.
