As time wears on, Logan's health deteriorates, and Sabretooth becomes the team's new leader. Some old members end up taking their leave from the team, with new members coming in and forming the kind of team who will do the hard jobs the other X-Men aren't willing to do to protect mutant-kind.

* TheHeart: Warpath cares the most about helping others in danger. He cared more about trying to help Omega Red's victims, stopping Yuriko for slicing them to pieces. In addition to wanting to help the Indigenous people of Santo Marco from a corrupt gov. hunting them down. [[Spoiler: It appears Domino becomes this when Warpath is not around, showing more distrust toward Creed and thinking he only pretends to be a changed man]].

Though they came together due to a common enemy, they eventually become an official X-team, functioning as the hunting unit. This vicious group must learn to cooperate and try to do their jobs without killing each another first.

* MrFanservice: Sabretooth seems to have gotten this role. He's very big & muscular, and has been the one of the three male leads to frequently be shirtless. in one instance, his shirt [[ClothingDamage gets shot off of him]] & he spends the next two chapters shirtless. It comes to a head in chapter 18 when he breaks from the team to help Omega Red's victims & tells Domino & Yuriko, who wanna find Creed, to do whatever they want. He claims there's no team, just a bunch of mercs, causing Domino to be angered by his judgmental behavior.

* PetTheDog: Sabretooth, when he decides to save Omega Red after it becomes clear his current boss doesn't care about him. There's also the tiger cub he adopts after killing its family to help Omega.

* UnusualPetsForUnusualPeople: with Sabretooth. Like stated above in ABoyAndHisX and PetTheDog. He's a best of a man with a mutation that gives him feral cat-like tendencies. He ends up adopting a Siberian tiger for a pet, and is amused when it chomps on his finger.

* ActionSeries: The book mainly seems to fit this genre. he series aren't given any deep motivations or depth, and most argue with one another when they're not fighting and / or kill enemies.

Sabretooth on the other hand is written as TheBrute, and also has trouble hunting, not being able to use a keyboard, and Logan commenting on his stupidity more than once.

* TokenEvilTeammate: Yuriko & Creed, Logan mentions they're both villains just under the surface & they need to keep finding monsters for the pair to fight before they get too bored.
