Neither of these look like examples of the trope. In the Jurassic Park entry, the kid never benefits from what Grant tells him. In the Pirates of the Caribbean example, Will is trying to teach Jack anything; it's just a piece of information that Jack retains and has a chance to use himself. That could be a Call-Back, but not this trope.
