[[caption-width-right:350: Left to right: Vector, Alito, Merag, Nash, Durbe, Mizael, Girag]]
The Seven Barian Emperors are the leaders of the Barian world, and are its greatest warriors and generals. The Barian world is an alien realm at war with the Astral world, but due to both being [[EnergyBeings energy worlds]] they have taken to using brainwashed [[{{Mook}} mooks]] in the human world to further the destruction of the Astral world.

In truth, they were once humans. Each of the Legendary Numbers is related to one of them due to them being near the areas where Astral sealed the numbers away. They were reincarnated into Barians by Don Thousand because of this. The Barian World itself used to be one with the Astral World, but was separated from it when the Astrals attempted to expel chaos from their world in order to Rank-Up.

* GodOfChaos: God of the Barian World, thus embodying chaos.
* GreaterScopeVillain: The man behind the entire Barian World, and the show's answer to [[Manga/YuGiOh Zorc Necrophades]], [[Anime/YuGiOhGX the Light of Destruction]], and [[Anime/YuGiOh5Ds Z-one]].
* HateSink: Between
his duel broken deck that borders on parody, his despicable treatment of all of the Barians [[spoiler:(even ''Vector'')]] and the fact he was behind their StartOfDarkness, it seems like he was written to be hated by the viewers.
* HeWhoMustNotBeSeen: He is always seen as a shadowed figure,
with Vector as a human.none or few of his traits being discernible. [[spoiler:We see his full, unshadowed appearance in Episode 129.]]
* OddNameOut: Compared IHaveYourWife: If he's not trying to instigate a DealWithTheDevil scenario with the other Emperors, whose names can promise of fulfilled wishes, he'll "help" those who interest him by turning their loved ones who are on the cusp of dying into Barians, gang pressing these exceptional individuals into his service to protect Barian World lest their friends and family die a ''second'' time.
* InTheirOwnImage: Don Thousand plans to use the Numeron Code to spread chaos from the Barian World to subjugate the universe. The results are seen with his overlaying of the Human World and the Barian World.
* ItsAllAboutMe: While Eliphas tried to [[spoiler:commit genocide upon the Barians]] for what he believed to
be easily a brighter future for Astral World, Don Thousand only cares about empowering himself and fulfilling his own personal ambitions.
* KickTheDog: Plenty in his very limited screentime, but his treatment of [[spoiler:both Vector and]] Mizael in Episode 138, [[spoiler:especially after we learn that he corrupted all of the Barians. The latter one takes the cake, as he gets rid of Vector once he has no further use for him.]]
* LargeAndInCharge: He's clearly the largest resident of the Barian World, twice as tall as even Girag. [[spoiler:Gets far bigger after Vector is defeated by Nasch.]]
* MeaningfulName: Don Thousand runs a deck of monsters possessing attack power in large magnitudes of 1000. His monsters too; [[spoiler: C1000 Numerronius, a monster so powerful that its attack value seems "erroneous" and [=Ci1000=] Numerronius Numerronia, (the lowercase "i" referring to the imaginary number √-1) reflecting how its attack value and effects are so overpowered as to seem "imaginary".]]
* OrderVersusChaos: Narratively subverted as his red aura is identical with the one Yuma has when he uses Zexal and [[spoiler:enters Barian World]], stressing how the two sides of the dichotomy don't necessarily have to be enemies to maintain balance.
* ThePowerOfHate: He ruined the lives of several people, causing them to die a bitter death [[spoiler:and reincarnate them as the Seven Barian Emperors.]]
* PhysicalGod: He is the embodiment of Chaos and a deity from the Barian World.
* RapunzelHair: In his true form, his hair stretches all the way to his feet.
* SheatheYourSword: Knowing that all the Barian Emperors have heavy anti-Xyz stratagems in their decks which focus on countering, he manages to goad [[spoiler:Mizael]] into performing an uncharacteristically elaborate and risky play to wipe him out by ''doing nothing'' on his turn.
* SpikesOfVillainy: His more monstrous form is lined with them, and his personal emblem is far spikier than the usual Barian one and commonly
associated with the curses he laid on the Emperors.
* StoryBreakerPower: In true ''Yu-Gi-Oh!'' villain fashion, Don Thousand's deck is utterly ridiculous. [[spoiler:One Counter Trap Card lets him force his opponent (Mizael, no less) to OTK ''himself'', and another negates Utopia's summon and replaces it with Ganbara Knight with its effect negated. How does he use these? He activates them from his deck using a Field Spell he can play in the opponents' Draw Phase. Said Field Spell also allows him to use the effects of his Numeron Xyz monsters without having to detach Over Ray Units. His Ace Monster, Number C1000: Numerronius the Divine Giant, has 10,000 attack and powerful effects to back it up. Worst of all, that monster has an upgraded form called Number [=Ci1000=]: Numerronius Numerronia with ''100,000'' ATK, and
one of the Big Dipper's stars, Nasch is a bit hell of an oddity. It is derived from effect - the star Alkaid's alternate name, Benetnasch.
* RageHelm: His crown

* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: [[spoiler:After Merag is killed ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill: His ace monster qualifies as this in and absorbed of itself by Vector, Nasch breaks free from his prison and heads to virtue of having 100,000 ATK ''and'' forcing the Barian World opponent to attack it, while yelling Vector and Don being immune to destruction effects on top of that - the only thing that would make it more powerful is allowing the thing to actually attack.

* WingedHumanoid: His first form has large wings, though he ditches
them in order to protect his men who live true form. He's never actually seen using them to fly though.
