[[folder:William "B.J." Blazkowicz]]
[[quoteright:300:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_1bjorder_8279.jpg]]
--> '''Voiced in English by''': Matthew Kaminski (Return to Castle Wolfenstein ([=PS2=] version)), Peter Jessop (Wolfenstein 2009), Creator/BrianBloom (The New Order, The Old Blood, The New Colossus)
--> '''Voiced in Japanese by''': Creator/JojiNakata (The New Order)

An OSA agent, Blazkowicz is the main protagonist of the saga. B.J. differs in appearance through various continuities (original ''3D'' universe, ''Return to Castle Wolfenstein'', ''Wolfenstein RPG'', and the timeline of the 2009 game, ''The New Order\The Old Blood'' and ''The New Colossus''), but the majority of his traits remain the same.
----
* {{Adorkable}}: Has his moments. One example in ''The Old Blood'' has him pulling an AlasPoorYorick on a skull he finds in Rudi's room, only accidentally drop it and awkwardly place it back on the desk he found it on. Then theirs him trying to use that coffee machine on the train...
* AndIMustScream: According to the cutscenes in ''VideoGame/WolfensteinTheNewOrder'', he was pretty conscious while catatonic. His narration notes it wasn't like this the entire time, however, noting things such as seasons passing in what seemed to be the blink of an eye.
* ArchEnemy: Deathshead in modern continuities, Adolf Hitler in classic 3D games.
* ArtShift: In ''Wolfenstein'', he looks almost nothing like his ''Return to Castle Wolfenstein'' incarnation (and, by extension, his classic ''VideoGame/Wolfenstein3D'' appearance), which is somewhat odd as all the other returning characters appear largely the same (other than a higher polycount and bump-mapping, of course). He seems to be based on the ''[=Wolf3D=]'' cover art rather than the actual in-game sprite. In ''The New Order'', however, his appearance is directly modeled after his in-game sprite in ''Wolfenstein 3D'', and bears a passing resemblance to Wrestling/BrockLesnar.
* AxCrazy: Downplayed but present, especially in ''The New Order.'' B.J is an oddly stoic version of this - he's quite intelligent on the whole, but he is rather... temperamental to the point of stupidity in some of what he does, like interrogating someone with a chainsaw or deciding to use his knife on Deathshead because shooting would be too good a death for him. [[spoiler: True to form, Deathshead takes advantage of the latter one to ([[NotQuiteDead almost]]) disastrous effect.]]
** Anyone familiar with Poland's military history won't be surprised that this American soldier of Polish blood mows down krauts by the hundreds.
* BadassFamily: It's been confirmed that William Joseph Blazkowicz II, a.k.a. "[[VideoGame/CommanderKeen Billy Blaze]]" is his grandson. And, in at least one continuity, the VideoGame/{{Doom}}guy is his descendant in the far future.
* BadassNormal: No amount of Nazi cyborgs or occult magic can take this guy down.
* BerserkButton: Nazis, natch. Also, do ''not'' insinuate that his government was little better than the Nazis in ''The New Order''.
* TheBigGuy: Bordering on HeroicBuild in ''The Old Blood''. The unlockable model for Blazkowicz in Nazi uniform notes that they had to get his uniform custom made by a tailor before they could send him off as an infiltrator.
* BondOneLiner: At the end of Episode 3 in ''3D'', after killing Hitler.
--> "Sieg heil, huh... Sieg Hell."
* ByronicHero: Blazkowicz has shades of these in ''The New Order''. Though charismatic, handsome and [[WarriorPoet eloquent in his monologues]], he's clearly damaged goods by all of the suffering he's endured throughout the war, whether it'd be all of the horrors committed by the Nazis or the deaths of those under his command. He even fears that once his fight with the Nazis will be over, that he may never be fit to live a normal life ever again.
* CharacterDevelopment: He goes from a blank slate in ''Wolfenstein 3D'' and ''Return to Castle Wolfenstein'', to a cocky badass in ''Wolfenstein (2009)'', to a shell-shocked fatalist in ''The New Order''.
* CharlesAtlasSuperpower: He is incredibly strong, implied to be because of his youth on an American farm, to the point he can carry around the [[{{BFG}} MG46]] (a heavy machine gun normally used by the Nazi [[SuperSoldier Super Soldiers]] -- or mounted on turrets) as a personal weapon and dual-wield automatic double-barreled shotguns and assault rifles.
* TheComicallySerious: Much of the humor in ''The New Order'' comes from B.J.'s growling whispers in response to utterly bizarre circumstances, and delivering the strangest lines in the same deadpan tone:
-->"You put a Nazi on the moon. Fuck you, moon."
* DeathSeeker: Becomes this in ''The New Order,'' as he is forced to face the horrors of the Nazi's impending victory. [[spoiler: Culminates in the climax, where he is heavily wounded in Deathshead's compound and gives the order to launch a nuke on his own position.]] This seems to be no longer the case in ''The New Colossus''.
* DeepSouth: Sports a thick Texas accent in ''New Order''.
* DentedIron: A major part of his characterization starting in ''The New Order'', as he delivers this line as Fergus gives him CPR.
-->'''B.J.''': [[DeathSeeker Death at the gates again]]. Howling my name. [[MilesToGoBeforeISleep Can't greet you today]]. I have a war to win.
* TheDeterminator: It seems that any attempt the Nazis make at throwing everything they have at him only make him ''more'' determined to wipe them all out.
* DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu: [[spoiler:He kills the EldritchAbomination beneath Wulfburg by literally]] '''[[spoiler:shooting it in its goddamn face]]'''.
* TheDreaded: In ''The New Order'', Nazi soldiers will occasionally shout "Oh no, here he comes!" in German when they spot him.
* DualWielding: In ''The Old Blood'', he puts his massive size and strength to good use by carrying two versions of most of his guns -- the only ones he doesn't dual-wield are his Kampfpistole[[note]]a pistol-sized one-shot RPG-launcher[[/note]], Bombenschusse[[note]]a bolt-action sniper rifle[[/note]], knife (though he's shown using two of them at once in some Takedown animations), and the [=MG1946=][[note]]a heavy machinegun normally fixed into place or used by [[SuperSoldier Supersoldatens]][[/note]]. Also technically his pipe, which alternates between unscrewed format (where he uses it like a club/dagger combination) and screwed format (where he uses it as a shortstaff).
* DudeWheresMyRespect: In ''Wolfenstein'', Caroline Becker, the leader of the Kreisau Circle, "doesn't completely trust [him] yet" even after completing a number of dangerous missions for them, all of which involve the killing of dozens if not hundreds of Nazis. Dr. Leonid Alexandrov is also dismissive of his accomplishments, though it's justified in his case because [[spoiler:he was a mole all along]].
* GlassCannon: In ''3D'', given that on the default difficulty you can be killed by just 3 or 4 straight shots from a pistol at close range.
* GoodIsNotSoft: He's definitely TheHero but his methods are extremely visceral.
* GrandpaWhatMassiveHotnessYouHave: He's 49 years old in ''The New Order'' but looks like he hasn't aged a day.
* GutturalGrowler: In ''The New Order''.
* HandicappedBadass:
** Having a piece of shrapnel lodged in his head may put him out of commission, but not for long ([[TimeSkip sort of]]). [[spoiler:The damage from the shrapnel even allows him to shake off a poison Bubi injects him with!]]
** In the reveal trailer for ''The New Colossus'', he appears to spend at least part of the game paralysed from the waist down and confined to a wheelchair if not wearing the Da'at Yichud PoweredArmor. This doesn't appear to have impeded his ability to massacre hordes of Nazis much.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: Somewhat of a subversion. While Blazkowicz is a [[AxCrazy mildly unhinged]] mass-murdering Nazi hunter, he shows a lot of compassion and care for Anya as well as other members of the resistance.
* HeroicBuild: Growing up as a farmboy made this guy seriously ripped.
* HeroicMime: In ''Wolf-3D'', ''Spear of Destiny'' and most egregiously in ''Return to Castle Wolfenstein''. He is SuddenlyVoiced for further games in the series, though it takes until ''The New Order'' before he starts speaking outside of the occasional cutscene.
* HiddenDepths: Prevalent in ''The New Order.'' Who'd have thought he can play guitar?
** He also seems to understand Tekla's rapid-fire monologue on the nature of consciousness seconds after being woken up in the middle of the night, and briefly debates her a few minutes later on the subject of free will.
** He can understand German, of course, even if his accent is terrible, but one cutscene with Bombate toward the end of the Fergus timeline indicates he can understand at least one African language.
** In TNO, BJ repeatedly jury-rigs various electrical and electronic systems.
* IcyBlueEyes: Especially used to highlight his ThousandYardStare in ''The New Order''.
* InexplicablyAwesome: Easy to think of in ''The New Order''. Why can he fit himself into such small spaces? Why's he a OneManArmy? Why's he (almost) ImmuneToBullets and MadeOfIron? Who knows?
** In ''Spear of Destiny'', he defeated the Angel of Death and was deemed worthy of wielding the titular spear. Maybe that has something to do with it?
* {{Irony}}: B.J. looks for all the world like the Nazi idea of an Aryan... Except he's Jewish on his mother's side and Polish on his father's. It's hilariously ironic.
* JustAStupidAccent: [[JustifiedTrope Excused]] with the fact that he knows German fluently, but can't work out accents. [[AvertedTrope Averted]] in ''The New Order''. ''The Old Blood'' demonstrates that his use of verbal German is absolutely terrible and a friendly NPC even berates him for it.
* KnifeNut: Throughout the franchise always kept one in hand in the event he's out of bullets (except in ''Wolfenstein''), but this really shines in ''The New Order'' where he has some pretty ''creative'' ways in stabbing Nazis in the back (and the front). Not to mention he has access to throwing knives as well.
** He also believes shooting Deathshead would be too good a death for the Nazi - not wanting to rest until he's forced a surrender at knifepoint!
* LightningBruiser: In ''The New Order'', B.J. proves to be extremely agile and flexible, despite his considerable physique. He can make some impressively long jumps, fit through tight vents, slide under tiny gaps and generally outmaneuver his opponents and the environment. He also duel-wields ''everything'' (including assault rifles and automatic shotguns), and can tank ''several dozen'' enemy bullets before dying on Normal difficulty. In fact, with fully upgraded health and max armor he can survive about as many bullets as the prototype supersoldiers from ''Return to Castle Wolfenstein''.
* MadeOfIron: This is [[LampshadedTrope lampshaded a few times]], especially in ''The New Order'', to the relief of allies and pure, absolute shock by enemies. It's rather bizarre in that B.J. is demonstrably immune to stab wounds.
* MrFanservice: A tall, square-jawed soldier with a build that could rival an 80's action hero.
* NiceGuy: [[BerserkButton As long as you not a nazi, or had any previous alliances with them]].
* NoCutsceneInventoryInertia: In ''Wolfenstein'', he's always shown with an [=MP40=] in his hands in cutscenes, no matter what weapon the player had equipped when the cutscene was triggered. Furthermore, the [=MP40=] depicted is always unmodified, regardless of any upgrades the player has purchased for it.
* NotDistractedByTheSexy: He doesn't let tightly-clothed female guards distract him while he's mowing them down.
* NotSoDifferent: In ''The New Order'', B.J. is notably a very large individual, dual wields weapons, and is a borderline AxCrazy OneManArmy, much like [[spoiler:Hans Grosse]]. The only real difference is [[spoiler: they're on separate sides]].
* OlderThanTheyLook: In ''The New Order'', spending 14 years in catatonia has not changed him in any way physically, somehow even preserving his [[TheBigGuy considerable]] muscle mass.
* {{Omniglot}}: If ''The New Order'' is any indication, thought it's also subverted - He fluently speaks English, can speak and comprehend Polish, (Though he admits he's not very good) he's fluent in German, he can read Hebrew, and is evidently able to read French, Japanese and Chinese. That said, as of ''The Old Blood'', he's terrible at speaking German with a convincing accent.
* OneManArmy: He will singlehandedly destroy ''everything'' in his way, cutting through small ''armies'' of Nazi soldiers on his own.
* PapaWolf: In ''The New Colossus'' he's more than motivated to make sure his kids aren't born in a world run by Nazis.
* PipePain: In the first chapter of ''The Old Blood'', he picks up a busted pipe that he keeps with him from then on. Slotted together, it doubles as a short staff and spear, being useful in all manner of takedowns and as a makeshift crowbar. He can also unscrew it to use it as a combination of a shiv and a hand club.
* RatedMForManly: Particularly by ''The New Order'', B.J. is a OneManArmy of Nazi-crushing force with the broad shoulders, chiseled jawline, IcyBlueEyes, and tree trunk-like arms to match.
* RedBaron: By ''The New Colossus'', those who know him by reputation call him "Terror Billy".
* ShellShockedVeteran: His experiences are starting to take their toll on his mind in ''The New Order''
* SilentProtagonist: In ''Wolfenstein 3D'' and ''Return to Castle Wolfenstein''. The later games give him an actual voice and personality.
* SouthernFriedPrivate: {{Downplayed|Trope}} - he has a distinct southern accent in ''The New Order'' and ''The Old Blood,'' but he doesn't really display any of the associated stereotypes beyond [[HiddenDepths a fondness for country music.]]
* SurvivalMantra: A very mild example, with "Count to four, inhale. Count to four, exhale". He teaches it to Wyatt when he's going through a panic attack, and uses it himself at the end of New Order's prologue when making his SadisticChoice.
* TongueTied: His first night with Anya on the train had him simply saying "Yes" a few times, obviously at something of a loss for words.
* TranslationConvention: He's fluent in German, as demonstrated in ''Wolfenstein'' (2009). Germans speak accented English, peppered with German phrases. In combat, they speak only German. Similarly, readable documents are written in English.
* WarriorPoet: In ''The New Order''. You'd never guess B.J. can be quite eloquent when he wants to.
* WouldHitAGirl: In his eyes, nazi is a nazi.

* BigGood
* FatAndSkinny: The Director is pretty robust, while Jack has a normal body type.
* {{Intermission}}: In ''RTCW''.
* MissionControl
* TheOtherDarrin: The Director is voiced by a different actor in ''Wolfenstein (2009)'', since Tony Jay had passed away by that point. It's very noticeable, since Tony Jay had been one of those very distinctive voice actors.

[[folder:Agent One]]
--> '''Introduced in:''' Return To Castle Wolfenstein
--> '''Voiced by''': Jim Piddock

* CaptainCrash: In the prequel, ''Operation: Resurrection''. After [[spoiler:escaping from the enchanted tomb]] on Egypt, both Blazkowicz and him take a plane in order to reach Castle Wolfenstein. After entering a "hot zone", they crash into a forest near there and [[spoiler:they're captured by the Nazis, led by Helga Von Bulow]].
* DoomedByCanon: Being the extra missions of ''Operation: Resurrection'' a prequel to the games' story, he fills this role.
* ElectricTorture: This was his fate after being captured. The PC and Xbox port of the game starts with the sound of this happening to him.
* ForegoneConclusion: He had the bad luck of being the player's companion in the prequel to the main missions.

!!The Kreisau Circle
[[folder:The Kreisau Circle in General]]
--> '''Introduced in:''' Return To Castle Wolfenstein

A group of German resistance fighters.

* AscendedExtra: Although ''Wolfenstein'' isn't the first time Blazkowicz works with the Kreisau Circle, this time we actually meet the resistance members themselves, and they get a more important role on the story.
* LaResistance: Unusually for a WWII-themed video game, they're the ''German'' Resistance, even if at some point, they tell you to kill 'The Germans'.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Caroline Becker]]
--> '''Introduced in:''' Wolfenstein (2009)
--> '''Voiced by''': Anna Graves (Wolfenstein 2009), Bonita Freidericy (The New Order)

Former teacher and leader of the Circle.

* BadassGay: Implied; she has a giant pinup girl poster in her room.
* BigGood: In ''The New Order''.
* DiedInYourArmsTonight: Subverted. See InstantDeathBullet.
* InstantDeathBullet: She "dies" instantly from being shot through the ''spleen'', without even getting any dramatic last words.
** Averted in ''The New Order'' where she is shown to have survived but left paralyzed from the waist down.
* FakingTheDead: She returns as a major character in ''Wolfenstein: The New Order'', albeit now in a wheelchair.
* FireForgedFriends: She's this with B.J. and is clearly happy to see him when he first arrives.
* HandicappedBadass: In ''The New Order'', despite being paralyzed is still the leader of the rebellion. [[spoiler:Later on, she wears PoweredArmor that lets her move]].
* [[spoiler: MentorOccupationalHazard: At the very least Frau Engel has something really nasty done to her with an Axe in ''The New Colossus'' given B.J. is the one now using her power armor.]]
* NeverMessWithGranny: She's around her 60's, but that doesn't stop her from kicking Nazi ass. [[spoiler:She even gets a Da'at Yichud power suit.]]
* RebelLeader
* TeamMom: Somewhat takes on this role in ''The New Order''. The romantic elements are dropped from her interactions with B.J. and is shown being rather nurturing to members of the Circle.
* TokenRomance: She was perhaps meant to be a love interest, and B.J. laments her (supposed) death rather emphatically considering how little time they actually spent together. Or maybe he just really values her [[RebelLeader leadership abilities.]]

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Hans Schmidt]]
--> '''Introduced in:''' Wolfenstein (2009)
--> '''Voiced by''': Philipp Karner

The Radio operator of the Circle.

* FlatEarthAtheist: After the Dig Site mission, he claims that the Golden Dawn's leader seeks to "save the world from black magic. Which means he's either insane or an idiot". You could interpret that as B.J. keeping the Medallion's powers a secret... if not for the fact that completing the aforementioned mission also causes ''black clad Nazi sorcerers'' to fight openly in the city they are in.

[[folder:Fergus Reid]]
[[quoteright:200:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_wtno-fergus-reid_3878.jpg]]
--> '''Introduced in:''' The New Order
--> '''Voiced by''': Creator/GideonEmery

Scottish pilot and buddy of B.J.'s who is part of the assault on Deathshead's compound.

* AcePilot: You have to give him props for keeping the cargo plane he and B.J. are on at the start at the game in the air for as long as he did.
* ApologeticAttacker: [[spoiler:If Deathshead dissects him in 1946 and puts his brain in the prototype robot in 1960.]]
* ArtificialLimbs: Gets one in New Colossus though it's a bit touchy to use.
%%* BadassGrandpa
* BloodKnight: He's pretty enthusiastic about killing Nazis.
* CloudCuckooLander: How else can you describe a guy who randomly breaks out into song (My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean) as he's shouting out orders while under heavy fire? It could just be him trying to cope with the stress though. And, when considering the world that he lives in, he comes off quite sane.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: Even going as far as reminding everyone that people die in war, while the [[AdvancingWallOfDoom walls close in on them, no less.]]
** [[spoiler: If B.J. chooses him to be the one dissected by Deathshead, he tells B.J. that it's not his fault and even manages to resist Deathshead's torture to a remarkable degree. In contrast, Wyatt behaves exactly how'd you expect a man being dissected alive to behave if he's the one you pick.]]
--->'''Fergus''': It's okay, Blazko. It's war - [[WarIsHell people die]]. My time's up, is all.
* TheLancer: His starts the game as B.J.'s best battle buddy [[spoiler: and becomes this again when they're reunited if he survives 1946.]]
* OlderSidekick: He's older then B.J. and becomes a BadassGrandpa in 1960, [[spoiler: if he survives back in '46.]] It becomes a point of contention between the two in 1960, as he brings up the fact that he and B.J. are only going to slow down with age.
-->'''Fergus''': What happens when we're too fucking battered to strap on the holsters?
* OnlySaneMan[=/=]UnfazedEveryman: By the time you find Set Roth, he falls into this trope, giving a long monologue about how bizarre his current situation is, and it's so sarcastic it could peel the paint from the walls. Here it is:
-->'''Fergus''': "Thank you so much for the new socks. They're right warm and a snug fit. Yeah, I'm doing well. Although this war has grown a little wearisome. [[BlatantLies Nothing much interesting ever happens these parts.]] Today I landed a Nazi helicopter on a nicked Nazi nuclear submarine aircraft carrier. After which I donned a deep-water diving suit, swam down an abyssal trench in the middle of the Atlantic fucking ocean, don't mean to bother you with the details. Long story short, I'm in a secret vault full of things so magical and abnormal in nature the mind has no recourse but to shudder in bewilderment. 'Course I'm accompanied by a nazi-killing lunatic and some kind of genius wizard who claims to be on a first-name basis with God Almighty himself. [[SeenItAll Ah, well, we can only hope for a more stimulating turn of events in the future.]] Give my love to everyone back home, Fergus out.
* SeenItAll: Develops into this by the end of the game, to the point that he only displays mild bemusement as a suit of PoweredArmor creeps up his legs.
* ViolentGlaswegian: The man has a hearty Scottish accent and is plenty gung-ho about killing Nazis. In the promotional artwork for the game he's even wearing a "Glasgow" t-shirt.

--> '''Introduced in:''' The New Order
--> '''Voiced by''': A.J. Trauth

A Private in the US 109th Airborne who is part of the assault on General Deathshead's compound.

* ApologeticAttacker: [[spoiler:If Deathshead dissects him in 1946 and puts his brain in the prototype robot in 1960.]]
* ArtisticStimulation: By New Colossus he's began to dabble in what is probably Acid. Guess you don't become friends with [[spoiler:Jimmy Hendrix:]] without being a wee bit incited to try some.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Even BEFORE the Incinerator sequence, (where he spends most of the time being the NewMeat NervousWreck), he takes out a [[RobotDog Panzerhund]] that was mauling B.J.... telling it to "GoFetch" with [[GrenadeHotPotato a grenade]], [[StuffBlowingUp blowing the whole contraption sky-high]].
* GoshDarnItToHeck: In contrast to Fergus, he never swears, aside from using lone religious swearing such as "Jesus" or "God" on some occasions. Even in his ''thirties'', he watches his language.
** PrecisionFStrike: The one time he averts the above is when [[spoiler:he uses a helicopter to decapitate an Ubersoldat punching Blaskowicz to death.]]
--> '''Wyatt:''' Leave him alone, you damn ugly ''fuck!''
* TheLancer: To B.J. [[spoiler: if he survives 1946.]]
* NervousWreck: When B.J. and Fergus meet him in person for the first time after he was forced to take the pilot's wheel of his troop transport he's on the floor crying. It takes B.J. [[GetAHoldOfYourselfMan slapping some sense into him]] to get him to calm down.
* NewAgeRetroHippie: By ''New Colossus'', he's begun studying Transcendental Meditation and dropping acid, though he's got a long way to go before he gets a hang of either.
* NewMeat: His first taste of action is the assault on Deathshead's compound. Unlucky him.
* PrettyFlyForAWhiteGuy: Uses a lot of JiveTurkey slang around Grace, just to prove he's down with it. Everybody is a little embarrassed.
* TookALevelInBadass: [[spoiler: The '''second''' he is spared vivisection by Deathshead]] he instantly goes up a level. He definitely went up a couple more levels between the escape from Deathshead's compound and 1960. It seems the minute B.J. shows up and slaps him he starts leveling up, going from a shaking wreck, to scared but useful on the beach, to ''kicking ass''.

A Polish nurse working in a family run Asylum who takes care of a catatonic B.J. for 14 years. When the Nazis decide to simply execute all the patients, her parents are killed in the crossfire. B.J. rescues her and eventually leads her to the Kreisau Circle, where she becomes a radio manager for them.

* ActionSurvivor[=/=]ActionGirl: She clearly manages to keep her stride despite everything going on around her. [[spoiler:Being also "Ramona" definitely helps.]] She [[TookALevelInBadass Takes A Level In Badass]] in ''VideoGame/WolfensteinIITheNewColossus'' to become a full-fledged ActionGirl.
* EatingTheEyeCandy: A flashback that BJ can have in the asylum upon seeing the bathtub shows that Anya was appreciative of BJ's physique as she bathed him.
* {{Expy}}: In a sense, she's a Polish Catholic version of [[Film/IngloriousBasterds Shosanna Dreyfus]]. [[spoiler:And like Shosanna, she has her ways of killing Nazis.]]
* FemmeFatale: Late on in ''The New Order'', she reads the diary entries of her cousin Ramona to B.J., [[spoiler:but it turns out the actions described within are her own. Poles can figure out the twist the moment the entries are added, given the owner's name on the diary. It begins with AN.]].
** SerialKiller: [[spoiler:"Ramona" killed ''a lot'' of Nazis between 1946 and 1960. It's heavily implied the feared serial killer hunting "upstanding German men" mentioned in newspaper articles throughout the game was really her.]]
** HoneyTrap: [[spoiler: Her primary method of killing Nazis was to seduce them and get them alone so that she could then poison, stab or strangle them.]]
* GoodGirlsAvoidAbortion: Averted so hard. [[spoiler:Her diaries as "Ramona" reveal she became pregnant by one of the Nazis she slept with before murdering. When she confirmed she was pregnant, she forcibly induced a miscarriage.]]
* HiddenDepths: "Ramona's" diary ultimately reveals that Anya is much more than the damsel in distress she's initially introduced as.
* LoveInterest: For B.J.
* NaziHunter: [[spoiler:It's revealed she was a prominent and much-feared SerialKiller of Nazis long before B.J. ever showed up. No wonder the two of them hit it off so well!]]
* OlderThanTheyLook: She is 36 (a dialog reveals she was 16 in 1940), but she looks at least a decade younger.
* PregnantBadass: In ''The New Colossus'', she is now heavily pregnant with twins fathered by B.J. -- and is still capable of running around playing stabby-stabby with Nazis.
** When she was [[spoiler:"Ramona", she became pregnant with one of her victim's children, and carried it for a while during her SerialKiller days before terminating it]].
* RealMenLoveJesus: Her Catholic side shows here and there.
* SignificantGreeneyedRedhead / HeroesWantRedheads: Provides both, though her red hair is considerably darker than most instances of these tropes.
* TheSmartGirl: It's casually mentioned she was working towards a doctorate in archaeology before the war broke out, and she gets to show her smarts quite a bit throughout the game, essentially singlehandedly uncovering the existence of [[spoiler:the Da'at Yichud]] and tracking down [[spoiler:Set Roth]]. [[spoiler:Her past as "Ramona" shows that her smarts extended to Nazi killing as well]].
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: This one's tricky. While her in-game name is rendered as the Russian-sounding "Anya", the correct Polish spelling would be "Ania". The switch is rather pointless since the two names share very little in terms of phonetics, the "j/y" sound being almost inaudible in Polish, since the "ni" compound is virtually always pronounced closer to the lines of the Spanish "ñ", and so, quite ironically, even a gamer with no prior exposure to Polish spelling would probably stand a better chance of reading the name properly were it to be "Ania" rather than "Anya".
** And just to make things even more confusing, her last name is spelled with a "w", as Polish ortography would have it be, rather than a "v". It should be noted that the Polish script is pretty much the only major Latin-based Slavic alphabet to use "w" in place of "v". Why the developers would opt to mess with the self-evident first name rather than the less-than-obvious last name is anyone's guess. For a somewhat plausible pronunciation of "Oliwa", attach an "-ah" sound at the end of the word "olive".
* TookALevelInBadass: In ''The New Colossus'' she appears to have become a full-fledged ActionGirl.
* VoiceWithAnInternetConnection
* WeakButSkilled: [[spoiler: She's not a soldier, and laments not being able to kill in a straight fight. However, she was apparently ''very'' effective with poisons, garrotes, gasoline, hand grenades, motor cars, etc.]]
* YourTerroristsAreOurFreedomFighters: [[spoiler: If it weren't for the fact she's victimizing Nazis, her history as a SerialKiller would make her a ''villain'' character.]]

* DefectorFromDecadence: Served in the Nazi military with pride until his son was born with a physical disability and thus singled out for death under the regime, leading to his wife also being killed for trying to protect their son, leading Klaus to join the Kreisau Circle.
* EmbarrassingTattoo: Looks on his Nazi tattoos as these. He's holding on to them [[MarkOfShame as a reminder of what he's done]] until they can overthrow the Nazi regime, at which point he'll have them removed. [[spoiler: He's KilledOffForReal before that can happen though.]]
* {{Expy}}: To [[Film/IngloriousBasterds Hugo Stiglitz]], after a fashion.
* HeelFaceTurn: See above.
* LikeASonToMe: It's not explicitly stated, but he acts like this with Max Hass. The one time he gets truly angry with B.J. is after he accidentally triggers Max's trauma by operating a circular saw near him.
* MoralityPet: Max Hass is this for him, with Klaus treating him like a substitute son.
* TheNicknamer: He always refers to B.J. as "Johnny Cowboy" or some form of it.
* NotSoStoic: Klaus reacts to almost everything but Max with weary disdain... but when B.J. is fighting [[spoiler:the London Monitor]], he gets ''very'' excited.
* RedemptionEqualsDeath: [[spoiler:After doing a full 180 on Nazi ideology, Klaus is shot during the Nazis raid on the Kreisau Circle's HQ.]]
* TokenEnemyMinority: See DefectorFromDecadence
* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: [[spoiler: His final words are a pep talk for Max Hass that basically amounts to this.]]

[[folder:J[[spoiler:imi Hendrix]]]]
--> '''Introduced in:''' The New Order
--> '''Voiced by''': Leith Burke

An African-American soldier with a talent for playing the guitar. Only appears if [[spoiler:Wyatt]] is alive.

* ArtisticStimulation: Gives B.J. some drugs, to show him how to REALLY play the guitar.
* BlackBestFriend: For Wyatt and possibly B.J.
* FacialHorror: The lower part of his face is scarred pretty badly, which he hides with a mask.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: [[spoiler:He goes out while playing the Star Spangled Banner for all Berlin to hear]].
* DoNotGoGentle: [[spoiler:Goes out amidst flames and gunfire playing ''The Star Spangled Banner'' on his electric guitar loud enough for all of Berlin to hear.]]
-->[[spoiler: "This moment, right now...It's gonna be loud..."]]
* JerkassHasAPoint: Highly offensive about it, but, he ''does'' have a point that America in the 1930s was hardly a bastion of racial and civil rights. The Nazis aren't some anomaly, they're just the nightmarish culmination of beliefs in racial and cultural purity & supremacy that have been bandied about throughout Europe and America since the days of the British Empire.
* KnownOnlyByTheirNickname
* HistoricalDomainCharacter: It's pretty ''obvious'' who this guy is, especially during his DyingMomentOfAwesome [[spoiler: It's Music/JimiHendrix, rattling off his famous rendition of the Star Spangled Banner]].
* MilitaryMoonshiner: He brews acid on his own time that he's willing to share with B.J.
* NonActionGuy: J is harmless and offers moral support, but he doesn't appear to actually do anything for the Resistance, preferring to just brew his acid and jam on his guitar all day.
* NotInThisForYourRevolution: If B.J. talks to him in chapter 7, he evidences a scornful attitude towards B.J's patriotism, referencing the Jim Crow laws that were in place in America in the 1930s-40s and explicitly likens white Americans to "Nazis before the Nazis". He makes the comparison even more explicit with B.J, calling him the sort of man that they would have called in for the lynchings before the Nazis took over.
* TheSouthpaw: Plays the guitar with his left hand, because he's [[spoiler: Jimi Hendrix]].
* WatchItStoned: Recommends this with his own music...though it's not ''pot'' he uses...

[[folder:Tekla]]
--> '''Introduced in''': The New Order.
--> '''Voiced by''': Carla Tassara

A schizophrenic but incredibly smart woman obsessed with calculations and the infinite probabilities of the universe. Only appears if [[spoiler:Fergus]] is alive.

* ActionGirl: [[spoiler:In her final moments, she takes down ''13'' EliteMooks with a bunch of Lugers. She also mentions that she'd already killed 7 by other means earlier in the day.]]
* AmbiguousDisorder: She's temperamental, antisocial, obsessive, and possibly delusional given that her predictive models are never actually put into practice.
* CessationOfExistence: She believes this is what happens to you when you die. Problem is, she also thinks this is what happens to the current version of your consiousness when you sleep. [[TheInsomniac This is why she rarely sleeps]].
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: She's often more interested in equations the results of certain things than what ever the current situation is at the moment.
* DualWielding: After taking some lessons with B.J., she turns out to be a pretty decent gunslinger.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: She's very assured about this trope. She feels that it when it comes, you should be ready for it. [[spoiler:Her final moments are certainly this when the Nazis storm HQ.]]
* TheFatalist: Her obsession with her predictive model is essentially this by a different name. The strong implication is that she's rationalizing the inevitability of her own death with her math.
* FlatEarthAtheist: She scoffs at the idea of the soul, claiming it to be "A pointless concept, dreamt up by priests and fairy tale men".
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Despite her neurotic tendencies, she shows a softer side to B.J. and her [[spoiler:FamousLastWords]] help seal the deal on what she thinks of him.
--> '''Tekla''': I am glad. To have found a friend.
* MadMathematician: Claims to be working on a predictive model that will allow her to know the Nazis' decisions before they make them. It's never made clear if the model actually worked, but even she admits that she could cover the entirety of Berlin with equations and still not learn the ultimate outcome of the war.
* MotorMouth: Wakes up BJ in the middle of the night to deliver a breathless, slightly hysterical lecture on the nature of consciousness.
* RoomFullOfCrazy: LOADS of papers are all over her room.
* YouCantFightFate: OBSESSED with this. She is convinced that there's only ever one possible outcome to any situation and that if you could somehow know every single variable you could flawlessly calculate the future.

--> '''Introduced in:''' The New Order.

* HeroicSacrifice: [[spoiler: He drives a car full of explosives into the London Nautica to give B.J. an opening to infiltrate it]]
** WeHardlyKnewYe: He preferred it that way.
* {{Jerkass}}: Is abrasive and rude to B.J. the moment B.J. enters the Resistance. [[spoiler: [[JerkassWoobie Turns out his family is dead and he's about to embark on a suicide mission. So he's got pretty good reasons]].]]
** JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Depending on one's interpretation despite him having little screen time, aside from his initial bad attitude towards B.J., he's willing to assist with the Kreisau Circle's cause and even serves as B.J.'s ExpositionFairy early in a mission. [[spoiler: Plus, Bram loved his late wife Charlotte and misses her terribly as one of the easter eggs found in the game revealed he written a poem addressed to her in her memory. A mentally-handicapped man found by Klaus behind a dumpster. Klaus takes care of him and treats him like a son.

* ActualPacifist: He hates violence and wouldn't hurt anyone [[spoiler: unless they [[BerserkButton hurt Klaus.]]]]
* BigGuy: He's even bigger than B.J.
* BodyHorror: Or more like body FridgeHorror when you look at his skull.
* DoesNotLikeShoes: Is never seen wearing shoes, which adds to his childlike image.
* GentleGiant: Prefers hugging and hiding until [[spoiler: Klaus is shot.]]
* HellIsThatNoise: He's scared of loud noises, raising his hands to his ears and crying when B.J. tries to use a buzzsaw.
* MadeOfIron: [[spoiler: Is shot several times at one point but it doesn't even seem to faze him.]]
* ManChild: Possibly due to a portion of his skull[=/=]brain seemingly having been sliced into, he behaves like a child. His room in the hideout is full of childish drawings and toys.
* PokemonSpeak: Only knows how to say his own name.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: [[spoiler:Kills several Nazis with his bare hands after Klaus is shot.]]
* UnstoppableRage: [[spoiler: When Klaus gets shot, he takes out three Nazis with his bare hands, not even feeling the few bullets he took himself in the process.]]
* [[WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes Why Did It Have To Be Loud Noises?]]: Loud noises are enough to make him cry, as B.J. finds out when trying to use a buzzsaw near him. Curiously, this only seems to apply to buzzsaws and other, similar prolonged sounds - he's just fine with gunfire and helicopter noises, but Fergus or Wyatt drilling air holes into the torpedo used to smuggle B.J. onto the U-boat also upsets him. [[spoiler: However, when one puts the buzzsaws together with the scar on his skull, it's easy to see ''why'' he fears that one noise in particular]].

* BadassBookworm: He's certainly qualified for the bookworm part, but the badass angle comes in when you realize he was placed in a concentration camp ''before the war ended'' twenty years previously. And is still alive.
* CoolOldGuy: He's an old man, snarks at BJ, is shown taking care of the other inmates in the concentration camp, and [[spoiler: knows how to build super-advanced technology and where to locate a cache of the stuff.]]
* GadgeteerGenius: As part of his plan to escape the concentration camp you find him in, he's made a remote capable of taking over the camp's robot guardian. It's smaller than a TV remote and all it needs is a power source. [[spoiler:As a member of the Da'at Yichud, he's easily one of the most knowledgeable people in technology on the entire planet.]]
* InkSuitActor: In the sequel, he looks even like his own voice actor.
* TheNicknamer: Mostly, if not only towards B.J by ''Shimshon'' and ''Yingele'' (The former meaning the Hebrew pronunciation of the Biblical Samson and the latter meaning "boy").
* TheSmartGuy: He's an engineering genius, easily in Deathshead's league and possibly even better.
* YiddishAsASecondLanguage: Spouts Yiddish several times and even sang to himself in the language.

* KilledOffScreen: He escapes the incinerator room with B.J. and [[spoiler: Fergus or Wyatt]]. A dialog in a latter part of the game reveals he joined the Kreisau Circle but died in mission at an unspecified moment between 1946 and 1960.

[[folder:Horten]]
--> '''Voiced by''': Christopher Heyerdahl

A cynical ''Christian socialist'' resistance leader in the U.S.

* BadassPreacher: If the collar he wears is any indication.
* ChummyCommies: He has strong socialist leanings, judging by his rant to Blazkowicz about how "Wall Street" sent "the children of the proletariat" off to die in the war.
* DeepSouth: He has a ''very'' thick southern accent.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Grace]]
--> '''Voiced by''': Debria Wilson

A paranoiac resistance leader in the U.S.

* AngryBlackMan: Or Woman in Grace's case. See {{Jerkass}} below.
* AxCrazy: Messes with B.J. using a dud grenade.
* {{Jerkass}}: In particular to anyone she doesn't trust, like B.J. initially and is openly hostile towards Sigrun believing her a [[TheMole spy]].
** JerkWithAHeartOfGold: However, despite her hostility towards anyone she does not trust, she is still fighting for a good cause against the Nazi regime, therefore her distrust towards ex-Nazi Sigrun can be [[JerkassHasApoint justified]] as ProperlyParanoid as she is unsure if Sigrun really did performed a HeelFaceTurn.
* ProperlyParanoid: Her hostility towards anyone she meets for the first time like B.J. or Sigrun is justified due to having fighting Nazi threats all her life and do not know who to trust.
* SassyBlackWoman: Very much an late 60's/early 70's example.

!Enemies
!!Introduced in ''Wolfenstein 3D'' and ''Spear of Destiny'', the classic 3D universe

[[folder:Hans Grosse (Wolfenstein 3D)]]
Large Nazi enforcer wearing blue power armor and is fought at the entrance of Wolfenstein castle. Later, in secret levels, B.J. encoutners his "clones", other power-armored enforcers.
* DegradedBoss: He makes irregular appearances after Episode 1 in ''3D''. Twice in a weird push-wall maze in Episode 2, and three times in the SecretLevel of Episode 6 where at least one must be killed to finish the level.
* GatlingGood: {{Dual wield}}s two gatling guns.
* MeaningfulName: Grosse means "big" in German.
* PoweredArmor: Blue variant.
* PaletteSwap: He has brother and sister, whose models are very similar, yet differ in details. The death animation and corpse is almost identical.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Dr. Schabbs]]
Evil Nazi scientist responsible for creation of "mutants": undead, surgically-modified soldiers.
* DeadlyDoctor: A classic example of this trope.
* LargeAndInCharge: Like all other bosses, noticably bigger than common enemies.
* MadScientist: Creates undead zombie soldiers.
* ZombifyTheLiving: He flings syringes full of a "corpsokinetic animation serum". If B.J. Blazkowicz loses all of his health to a syringe, his HUD portrait turns an ashen color as he becomes an undead mutant like those fought throughout the level.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Adolf Hitler]]
Real life person, the leader of Third Reich and the final (at least, chronologically) boss of the original ''Wolfenstein'' game. Encountered in the last level of third episode. ID later released three more prequel episodes, so Hitler is not the last nor the hardest of bosses, but certainly the most memorable. He is protected by "Fake Hitlers": moving automatons equipped with flamethrowers.

* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: As the Highest Value Target. Once you blow up his PoweredArmor, he's only about 1/2th as tough as the regular bosses, but with [[MoreDakka extra dakka]]. He's still got several times as much health as the EliteMooks and wields dual miniguns, though.
* FlunkyBoss: He has a handful of officers protecting him, plus his "Fake Hitlers".
* CameBackWrong: According to ''Videogame/WolfensteinTheOldBlood'', it's suggested that he survived an assassination attempt... but it's also mentioned that after the attempt, he's cold, clammy and smells like death and decay.
* ClimaxBoss: Fought at the end of Episode 3 in ''Wolfenstein 3D'', exactly halfway through the game. However, since episodes 4, 5, and 6 are prequel missions, he is chronologically the FinalBoss.
* GatlingGood: FOUR Gatling Guns, but this is only cosmetic (and temporary), and does not actually double his firepower. The Mech suit is an excuse to give him a lot more HitPoints than most bosses.
* TheGhost: In the universe of 2009 game and ''The New Order'', despite apparently being the still-reigning Führer of the Reich, he never makes an appearance.
* {{Gorn}}: ''Disintegrates'' into a squishy pile of goo and organs upon death.
* GreaterScopeVillain: He's the leader of the Third Reich.
* LargeAndInCharge: Noticeably smaller than other bosses... but not when in his mecha armor.
* MoreDakka: Uses four miniguns.
* PoweredArmor: Uses a mecha suit.
* [[StupidJetpackHitler Stupid Power Armor Hitler]]: That's even the page image.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Otto Giftmacher]]
A Nazi officer and a scientist responsible for chemical warfare. He is the boss of fourth episode (one of three "prequel episodes").
* LargeAndInCharge: His uniform is almost the same as the one officers wear, but he is much larger than any common enemy.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Gretel Grosse]]
Sister of Hans Grosse, Gretel is a female Nazi enforcer, tasked with guarding Nazi chemical warfare plans. She appears similar to her brother, only wearing pink power armor. Boss of fifth episode.
* BrawnHilda: She's basically Hans Grosse with braids and makeup.
* GatlingGood: {{Dual wield}}s two gatling guns.
* PoweredArmor: Pink female version!
* PaletteSwap: Of Hans and Trans, but with not so noticable differences.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:General Fettgesicht]]
Final boss of original Wolfenstein 3D (in episode six, after an update - originally, game had only three episodes with Hitler as final boss). The general plans to start chemical war and must be assassinated.
* FatBastard: His name, in fact, translates to "Fat face".
* FinalBoss: After the update, upstaging Adolf Hitler himself.
* FlunkyBoss: He's accompanied by ''a small army'' of guards and EliteMooks.
* GatlingGood: In one of his hands, the other holds a pistol-rocket-launcher.
* LargeAndInCharge: Looks bigger than other bosses.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Trans Grosse]]
Large Nazi enforcer wearing green armor and another member of Grosse family, which also include Gretel (pink armor) and Hans (blue armor). First boss of "Spear of Destiny" stand-alone expansion. Appears to be the older one of his siblings. Since "Spear of Destiny" is the prequel, he is chronologically the first to die by B.J. hands.
* MeaningfulName: His name could be translated as "beyond big".
* GatlingGood: {{Dual wield}}s two gatling guns, like other two members of the family.
* PoweredArmor: The green one, and the most intimidating compared to his family. It has large spikes on shoulders.
* PaletteSwap: Of Hans and Gretel, but with not-so-noticable differences.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Barnacle Wilhelm]]
Second boss of "Spear of Destiny", he is... a Nazi officer... or enforcer? Nothing at all is stated about him.
* GatlingGood: In one of his hands, the other holds a pistol-rocket-launcher.
* LargeAndInCharge: Second boss of the game, he has some back-up.
* GiantSpaceFleaFromNowhere: Beside his name, nothing is known about his position in Nazi regime.
* PaletteSwap: His movements, attacks and stats are based on General Fettgesicht, the final and the hardest boss of original Wolfenstein 3D.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Ubermutant]]
The Ubermutant is Dr. Schabbs' ultimate creation. While basic mutants are undead people with rifles grafted into their stomachs, this monstrosity looks like large, four-armed man with a minigun implanted into his chest.
* AdvancingBossOfDoom: It is fought in a series of one-way hallways, making it impossible to circle around him. You pretty much have to constantly retreat while firing at him, which is made even tougher by the fact he's the fastest enemy in the game.
* ChestBlaster: As a mutant, it has chainguns implanted in its chest, meaning that it can fire at you instantly.
* ImAHumanitarian: His cell is filled with human bones and meat.
* GatlingGood: Implanted in his chest.
* KingMook: To other mutants.
* LightningBruiser: Has standard boss health and damage output, but is the fastest enemy in the entire game.
* NightmareFuel: Four-armed man, with knives and a minigun in his chest, who is incredibly fast and silent... the latter means you could enter his room and realize too late that you're not alone.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:[[spoiler:Death Knight]]]]
The Death Knight is the last [[spoiler:human]] boss you fight in "Spear of Destiny". He is in charge of guarding the Spear of Destiny. Well equipped, this guy is here to give you one hell of a fight.
* BloodKnight: He even introduces himself by shouting that "death is my life".
* GatlingGood: Has two Gatling Guns and two shoulder-mounted rocket launchers.
* PoweredArmor: Similar to Grosse family, but black, with helmet and rocket launchers!
* LargeAndInCharge: Guards the Spear of Destiny and seems to be an important Nazi himself.
* NightmareFuel: [[spoiler:Don't bother searching for him... he will ambush you with his people right at the start of his level.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:[[spoiler:Angel of Death]]]]
To end the game, you have to kill This. Infernal demon... or angel?... who trapped you in his nightmarish dimension filled with lost souls in order to test your might in combat.
* TrueFinalBoss: Appears after you defeated Death Knight and took the Spear of Destiny.
* BigRedDevil: What he looks like.
* GiantSpaceFleaFromNowhere: No one told you that after killing all the Nazis and that one guy in black power armor and finally obtaining the Spear of Destiny you will be teleported to what appears to be Hell and challenged by the Angel of Death himself.
* LargeAndInCharge: Of his own dimension, infested with hostile spirits!
* WorthyOpponent: When defeated, declares that "you may wield the spear."

[[quoteright:230:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/helgabulow_5568.jpg]]
--> '''Voiced by''': B.J. Ward

* BadBoss: Ignores safety procedures put forward by an expert, and then later ''offs'' said expert when threatened with disciplinary action for not heeding his warnings. [[spoiler:It catches up with her not long after, when her carelessness and greed results in her getting torn limb from limb by an angry Olaric.]]
* TheBaroness: Rosa Klebb variety.
* BrawnHilda
* ContinuityNod: Continues the trend of [[FatBastard overweight]], [[BadBoss foul-tempered]] SS officers set by General Fettgesicht (Fat Face) in ''[=Wolf3D=]''[='=]s sixth episode.
* [[FatBastard Fat Bitch]]: In addition to missing an eye because of a debacle involving undead in 1939, she's rather obese as well. And she has an [[BadBoss attitude problem]]...
* LargeAndInCharge
* TooDumbToLive: She blatantly disregards the advice and warnings of two experts on the dig all the way up to offing one of them simply out of irritation and impatience, this combined with her LeeroyJenkins attitude gets her men slaughtered and devoured by TheUndead [[spoiler: and her being gruesomely torn apart by Olaric.]] What's even more surprising is that she should have honestly known better, considering that the Holstein dig which she was a part of also included zombies being released, and ultimately gave her one less eye as a reminder.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Ubersoldat]]
* ClimaxBoss
* DamageSpongeBoss: They aren't quite "immune" (Deathshead comments that they weren't quite ready yet), but they can take a lot of hits. By the time of ''VideoGame/{{Wolfenstein 2009}}'', he seems to have somewhat solved the bullet-proofing problem with their successors, the veil-powered Heavy Troopers.
* DegradedBoss: A MidBoss in both ''Wolfenstein'' and ''Return To Castle Wolfenstein''. In the latter it also appears at the end of the Chapel missions, while in ''Wolfenstein'' it has been improved and is now a bulletproof ''{{mook}}''. [[spoiler:They get an upgrade to BossInMooksClothing in ''The New Order'']].
* SuperSoldier: Deathshead, the SS's Special Projects chief, wanted to build an army of them for Hitler. Then Himmler [[spoiler: repurposed them]].

--> '''Voiced by''': ???(''Return To Castle Wolfenstein''), Creator/RobinAtkinDownes (''Wolfenstein 2009''), Creator/DwightSchultz (''The New Order''), Kaspar Eichel (''The New Order'' (German speech))

A Nazi scientist and SS-General, catalogued as "[[BigBad the single most dangerous figure in the entire Third Reich]]". He's apt at [[KarmaHoudini getting away]] [[TheUnfought with all sorts]] [[MoralEventHorizon of atrocities]].

* ArchEnemy: He considers Blazkowicz to be his archfoe. In a trailer for ''Wolfenstein'', his narration states that the most memorable part of the events of the game wasn't the eldritch horror he unleashed, but the lone badass (Blazkowicz) that stopped it.
* AxCrazy: Don't be fooled by the man's pseudo-grandfatherly nature, this guy is a twisted motherfucker who takes gleeful and utterly depraved joy in doing what he does.
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: Subverted. Despite being the ''real'' BigBad of ''Wolfenstein'', he has his Dragon fight for him, and flees from B.J. after the final battle. [[spoiler:Played straight in ''The New Order'', in which he pilots a giant mecha and becomes the game's FinalBoss]].
* BadassGrandpa: Dives into this in ''The New Order'', when [[spoiler: he suits up in a HumongousMecha and goes one on one with B.J. in a truly ''awesome'' confrontation]].
* BadBoss: After [[spoiler:Zetta's death]], radio chatter in ''Wolfenstein'' indicates that they're even ''more'' frightened of him, who's replacing his former superior.
* BaldOfEvil: Not a hair to be found on his head, and is undoubtedly one of the most vile characters in the franchise.
* BigBad: The single, most dangerous figure in the entire Third Reich.
* BreakoutVillain: Partially due to the SequelHook set up in ''RTCW'' but primarily due to the absolute lack of alternative candidates and sudden focus on him, and due to [[spoiler:General Zetta getting pumped full of lead earlier]].
* CallBack: [[spoiler:When you finally fight him to the death in ''The New Order'']], he taunts you with Hitler's opening line from ''Wolfenstein 3D'':
-->"Die, Allied schweinehund!"
** If that's not enough, [[spoiler: the mech suit he pilots in the final confrontation bears a striking resemblance to the one used by Hitler when that line was used.]]
* ClassicVillain: Pride and Ambition for him, with an emphasis on the former.
* DeadlyDoctor: Clearly takes ''far'' too much glee in his experimentation on the human body. [[spoiler: Poor Fergus/Wyatt.]]
* DefiantToTheEnd: [[spoiler:In ''The New Order'']]:

* DieLaughing: [[spoiler:In ''The New Order''.]]
* DragonInChief: It's strongly implied in ''The New Order'' that by 1960, while he isn't the Fuhrer, he's the one calling the shots in the Third Reich.
* EverythingSoundsSexierInFrench: He (and the game) certainty seems to think this his nickname is more intimidating in German.
--> '''Deathshead''': You call me "Deathshead". I don't like it. I am a happy man. [[SlasherSmile You see?]] It doesn't sound right in English. Say it...correctly. '''''Toten'''''...'''''kopf.'''''
* EvilCannotComprehendGood: He honestly can't understand ''why'' anyone would want to stop him, given how much technology has advanced thanks to him. Probably because he overlooks how much misery he has inflicted upon mankind in the process.
--> '''Deathshead''': You perplex me, Captain. But, you do not scare me.
* EvilIsHammy: In ''The New Order''. Thanks to his newfound appreciation for life, Deathshead is now much more expressive than he ever has been.
* EvilOldFolks: He's revealed to be 100 years old in ''The New Order''.
* {{Expy}}: Takes a lot from [[VideoGame/{{Borderlands}} Handsome Jack]] in ''The New Order'', as explained in {{Hypocrite}} and WrongGenreSavvy.
* FauxAffablyEvil: His gleefully joyous demeanor in ''The New Order'' highlights what a sick bastard he is. What's even worse is that he's ''genuine'' with his joy and how he feels he has brought "order" to the world. He also offers a twisted relaxation technique for the prisoners at Eisenwald Prison to make them crack under the pressure and give up the location of the resistance.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: [[spoiler: In ''The New Order''.]]
* FamousLastWords:
-->'''Deathshead''': [[spoiler: ''So...gullible! (EvilLaugh)'']]
* FlatEarthAtheist: He's a hardcore skeptic that wants nothing to do with [[spoiler: the resurrection of Heinrich I]] and isn't a member of the occult groups in the Nazi hierarchy and likewise hasn't seen the instances that would prove to him this is even feasible. His only concern is with his scientifically proven projects. He even disobeys orders by retaining one of his working prototypes because he considers "Project Ubersoldat" his life's work and he's prepared to take his case to Hitler himself if he has to.
** MugglesDoItBetter: By ''The New Order'', the Nazis have stopped faffing around with magic and just let Deathshead do his thing with next to no oversight. [[TheBadGuyWins It pays off.]]
* {{Foil}}: Old, physically frail, calculated and extremely intelligent, in contrast to B.J.'s youth, strength and aggressive, impulsive (if not outright stupid) behavior. Deathshead completely lacks moral restraint and delights in torture, whereas Blazkowicz is repeatedly shown to fight out of empathy and a moral obligation to end the war.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: In the Castle mission in ''Wolfenstein'', you see the portrait of a him on a wall, and you meet him, shortly thereafter. Apparently he's got his own fortress now.
* FinalBoss: [[spoiler:Of ''The New Order'']].
* GenreSavvy: He has his moments, particularly with leaving one of his super soldiers in the room with the captured soldiers to ensure they don't escape. It doesn't work out, but still he thought of that.
* GoOutWithASmile: And a damn [[SlasherSmile creepy one]] at that.
* {{Hypocrite}}: He's fond of waxing about Nazi superiority and his own Aryan genius. [[spoiler:Yet is willing to reverse-engineer advanced technology from a secret ''Jewish'' society to forward his research.]] Also, during [[spoiler:the final boss fight at the end of ''The New Order'']], he calls B.J. a villain and cruel/evil for running away and for shooting down a zeppelin that was transmitting power [[spoiler:to his mech's shields]], respectively.
--> '''Deathshead''': "Where are you going? An act of cowardice? How utterly villainous of you." "Your cruelty is endless, captain. Honest, hard working men on board that zeppelin. Men with families. Have you no shame? A shocking display of evil!'''
* KarmaHoudini: Despite not achieving his goals, he always ends up alive and well.
** KarmaHoudiniWarranty: [[spoiler:It expires at the end of ''The New Order.'' But not before pulling a TakingYouWithMe on B.J., which the latter ''barely'' survives.]]
* MadScientist: Fits the bill, though unlike the Nazi occultists he's forced to work with, he knows what he's doing.
* {{Narcissist}}: Implied by B.J. in ''The New Order'' when he encounters a portrait of him.
--> '''Blazkowicz''': To commission a portrait in service of your own ego. General, you waste your paint.
* NeverFoundTheBody: Lampshaded in the ending of ''Wolfenstein''. As soon as Blazkowicz says that they never found his body, he's sure that it won't be the last time he fights against him. Later on, TheStinger of the game shows that he's alive, well, and pissed.
* NotSoDifferent: He and Blazkowicz have the exact same first name. This is especially obvious in ''VideoGame/WolfensteinTheNewOrder'', where many characters refer to B.J. as "William", and he says this outright in a FlashBack.
* OnlySaneMan: Has nothing but skepticism for the {{Ghostapo}} nonsense of his colleagues. Given how little times he's seen it pay off, it's hard to blame him.
* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: Averted in ''VideoGame/ReturnToCastleWolfenstein'' and ''VideoGame/{{Wolfenstein|2009}}'', where the most offensive thing he said was that the swastika would fly proudly over Washington DC. Then played '''very''' straight in ''VideoGame/WolfensteinTheNewOrder'':
--> '''Deathshead''': I am a liberator! No longer must we serve the filthy parasite. No longer need we gaze upon his waddling gait polluting the purity of our bloodline. No longer will we tolerate his primitive brain and violent impulses. Oh, terrorists. Do you not see that my cause is just? Do you not see that there is no place for you in this world?
* TheSociopath: His enthusiasm for science is only matched by his love of [[AxCrazy torture and murder]] and he possesses absolutely [[LackOfEmpathy no empathy whatsoever]] even for his own men, regarding even them as guinea pigs for his vile projects.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: He was born in ''1860''. This makes him 100 years old in ''The New Order''.
* SlasherSmile: He's sports this a lot of the time over the course of ''The New Order'', especially when he [[spoiler:meets his end]].
* StupidJetpackHitler: His preferred brand of Nazi alternate history wank.
* TakingYouWithMe: [[spoiler:As B.J. is stabbing him to death...]]

* TheUnfought: Twice.

--> [[spoiler:([[StupidJetpackHitler In a mech suit]]) [[PreAssKickingOneLiner "You perplex me, captain. But you do not scare me."]]]]
* UsedToBeASweetKid: In his recorded narration in the London Nautica, he says when he was a kid he had a dream to build a robot to hold his hand whenever he was afraid. He admits it sounds silly, but says that [[HiddenDepths dreams are what fuel the engine of progress and that he built the London Nautica to inspire other young boys to dream big.]] [[spoiler: Of course, given what [[SadisticChoice his]] [[ForcedToWatch idea]] [[BrainInAJar of]] [[HumanResources "Dreaming]] [[WetwareCPU Big"]] ''[[UnwillingRoboticisation is]]'', it loses a good deal of it's sentiment.]]
* VillainousBreakdown: He smugly taunts Blazkowicz, labeling him as a relic of the past war, who can't accomplish anything other than destroying things. However [[spoiler:after you destroy his mecha-suit's shields]], he finally loses his temper and starts ranting and raving about Blazkowicz's ''inability'' to just die.
* VirtueIsWeakness: He dismisses compassion as a pointless instinct, unfit for members of the master race.
* WorthyOpponent: He views Blazkowicz as one of these.
--> '''Deathshead''': Oh, I like you. Such a resilient specimen. With you I could do ''great'' things!
* WrongGenreSavvy: If his dialog when fighting him is anything to go by, he appears to genuinely believe that he is TheHero of the story, in which he created a new superior civilization with [[ScienceHero the introduction of advanced technology]], while the resistance are BombThrowingAnarchists seeking to destroy his work.

* FatBastard: General Zetta is as cruel to the town's civilians as he is to his [[BadBoss own underlings]], who he abuses and demeans constantly. His first act upon seizing control was to hang the mayor and town council.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: Everyone says that there's something very ''wrong'' about him. Even on his own ranks. Later, in the Cannery mission, it's revealed that [[spoiler:Zetta is a giant worm creature mutated by the Veil]].

!Obergruppenführer Irene Engel
--> '''Voiced by''': Nina Franoszek

[[quoteright:200:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rsz_frau_engel_295.png]]
* AbusiveParents: Appears to be this to at least her daughter Sigrun who she bullies into committing violent acts, likely for her obesity and thus not fitting the Aryan standard.
* AffablyEvil: For a sadistic monster, Engel is quite cordial and laid back.
* AxCrazy: ''Holy Mother of GOD'', what a twisted psycho bitch she is.
* BadassBoast: Right after her jaw is crushed by a renegade Nazi mech which would incapacitate most people with pain and shock, she instead crawls to Blazkowicz and gives him a promise of revenge.
--> '''For your crime. You will die like vermin. I will hunt you down. At the end of the earth I will find you. Your skin charred and your fats rendered. Your kind exterminated. In the end, I will feed your flesh…to the furnace."
* BadassGrandma: 55 as of ''The New Order'' and mother of six, she is an extremely durable, dangerous and determined individual.
* TheBaroness: Unique example in that she has the age and "nasty hag" personality of the Rosa Klebb variety, yet has a dominating sexual appetite and is still rather [[EvilIsSexy good-looking]] for her age.
* CreepyBlueEyes: What would you expect of a Nazi?
* DarkActionGirl: Considerably older than most examples but still a scarily effective enforcer for the villains.
* TheDeterminator: [[spoiler: She refuses to die after getting her jaw ''shattered'', and instead opts to crawl up to B.J., get right in his face, and tell him ToThePain. Then, after being thrown off of a cliff, she attacks B.J. and his comrades while dual wielding assault rifles. And she's still not dead.]]
* DirtyOldWoman: Utterly depraved and hedonistic in addition to being a ruthless bitch. In a rare example, she shares the sexually predatory behavior of the DirtyOldMan archetype, right down to having a submissive, weak-willed younger lover.
* DragonAscendant: In ''The New Colossus'', due to the deaths of [[spoiler:Deathshead and her lover Bubi]], she's leading the charge front and center against the Kreisau Circle.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: She and Bubi genuinely love each other.
* EvilOldFolks: Is 56 as of ''The New Colossus''.
* FacialHorror: [[spoiler: She has her jaw shattered by a hijacked robot during the concentration camp escape. What happens to her face is [[NauseaFuel not pretty]] -- a visible cleft in her jawline, shattered or missing teeth, and a lolling jaw]]. By the time of ''The New Colossus'', however, it's been pretty much patched up, though there some [[ScarsAreForever obvious scars that still remain]].
* FemaleMisogynist: Can be overheard talking to Bubi about how she thoroughly believes German women should uphold the principles of [[StayInTheKitchen Kinder, Küche, Kirche]]. When Bubi subtly calls her on her hypocrisy, she simply retorts that she's done her womanly duty by birthing and raising six "good Aryan" children, so she's entitled to pursue "fun" like being a death camp warden.
* ForcedToWatch: [[spoiler:As B.J. stabs Bubi to death.]]
* FourStarBadass: Is a General(SS-Obergruppenführer) in ''The New Colossus''.
* {{Jerkass}}: Doesn't even ''scratch the surface'' when describing her.
* JustAFleshWound: She is surprisingly durable for an old woman. [[spoiler:Even after getting her jaw crushed by a robot and getting chucked into a tree and off a cliff, she still has the energy to gun down several escaping prisoners with a pair of automatic rifles.]]
* KarmaHoudini: [[spoiler:Even though she doesn't get out of it [[FacialHorror in one piece]] it's still pretty egregious. Not to mention she was ForcedToWatch as B.J. gutted her lover in front of her.]]
** Looks like ''The New Colossus'' may give players the chance to give her what's coming to her.
* KnowNothingKnowItAll: She declares that she can "tell impure blood by sight" and compliments BJ on his "fine Aryan features." BJ is an ethnically-Polish American, and his mother was a Jew. No doubt BJ enjoys the ''hell'' out of making the old hag eat her words...
* MrsRobinson: Good looking for her age [[spoiler:(at least, until getting her face destroyed by a sabotaged robot)]] and has a lover at least twenty years her junior.
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: Yep, it's another [[Film/IlsaSheWolfOfTheSS Diane Thorne]] parody. Might as well steal from the best.
* TruthInTelevision: Frau Engel is a head figure of [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/League_of_German_Girls Bund Deutscher Mädel (League of German Girls)]], which was an actual Nazi female youth movement in RealLife, more or less the Hitler Youth for girls. She also runs a concentration camp with an iron fist, a reference to how many German women [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Female_guards_in_Nazi_concentration_camps helped participate in the Holocaust]].
* TheUnfought: In ''The New Order''. There's a chance this might be averted in ''The New Colossus''.
* VillainousBreakdown: After [[spoiler: watching B.J. kill Bubi via a video link]], she can be seen shaking violently, staring catatonically into space and taking barely controlled, shuddering breaths before staggering out of sight.
* WouldHurtAChild: [[spoiler:During the Forced Labor Camp intro, she grabs an infant out of the crowd of prisoners, showing nothing but absolute disgust. * AfraidOfBlood: He mentions that the sight of fresh blood sickens him.

* CreepyBlueEyes: [[CaptainObvious But of course.]]
* DarkMistress: A GenderFlip version. His entire character revolves around his [[EvenEvilHasLovedOnes love for and devotion to Frau Engel.]]
* InSeriesNickname: His real name is Hans Winkle, but Frau Engel only ever calls him Bubi, which is German for "baby." While it can be used affectionately like in English, Frau Engel's obvious depravity combined with the age difference ups the {{Squick}} factor considerably.
* MayDecemberRomance: He is the lover of Frau Engel, who's easily old enough to be his mother or even grandmother. [[AllThereInTheManual Background material]] states that they met when Bubi was working at a prison camp at the age of 19.
* MinorInjuryOverreaction: [[spoiler: Having his ear bitten off is apparently so crippling that he can't even pull the trigger on his pistol anymore. He'll even bleed to death if you ignore him instead of executing him.]]

* ListOfTransgressions[=/=]IShallTauntYou: It informs B.J. of the crimes against the state he is committing as he is attempting to destroy it, especially the fact that every second he is fighting back against it he is committing ''another'' crime.

* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: Aside from the fact that he's a Nazi, he also is rather disdainful of the mentally ill and those who he considers mentally ill. There's probably a reason he lead an operation to slaughter an entire asylum.
* SelfMadeOrphan: His biography reveals he betrayed his abusive family, who were heavily involved with the French Resistance, to the Nazis as a child and was adopted by Deathshead himself.
* TheSocialDarwinist: He coldly refers to the asylum patients he's able to haul off as 'subhumans who will be [[PlayingwithSyringes put to use]] for the benefit of the Reich'.
* StarterVillain: The first Nazi-aligned antagonist B.J. meets not long after he wakes up in 1960.

** His mother doesn't seem to have been too much better; you can find a letter from her in Rudi's room whilst exploring Castle Wolfenstein that has her defend the abuse his father gave him, in between trying to beg him to send her money.
* AffablyEvil: Has a constant pleasant demeanor, even as he's feeding prisoners to his dogs and laughs at a 'Frankfurter hot dog' joke that B.J. makes before making threats towards Americans.
* BerserkButton: Anything that regards something negative happening to his beloved dog Greta, whether is a threat directed towards her or any harm that comes to her.

* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Legitimately loves his pet dog Greta. [[spoiler: After she is killed, he goes into a grief-stricken rage to avenge her death, but when he is defeated, he says he'll be with her in death]].
* {{Expy}}: Of Hans Grosse, being a tall blond brute acting as the brawn to his superior's brains, [[spoiler:and ends up fighting B.J. in power-armor.]]
* FriendToAllLivingThings: Well, not exactly given he's a Nazi, but he is a dog-lover and loved his dog Greta. Rudi's love for them more than humans is most likely due to the abuse he suffered from his father.
* MadeOfIron: Survives getting stabbed in the shoulder with a jagged pipe, and seconds after getting electrocuted.
* MeaningfulName: As fans of ''Film/PacificRim'' know, "jäger" is German for "hunter".
* MoralityPet: Greta is one for him. It may not look like that at first, but when [[spoiler: she dies]], ''[[RoaringRampageOfRevenge holy]]'' ''[[UnstoppableRage shit.]]''
* PetTheDog: A literal example given he's a dog-lover in a twisted manner when he feed prisoners to his dogs.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: [[spoiler: Goes on one when B.J kills Greta.]]
* SoftSpokenSadist: Tries not to raise his voice, while torturing B.J. to interrogate him for his contact in the village.
* TragicMonster: In contrast to the psychopaths that make up the rest of the antagonists, Rudi has a heart, and feels compassion. Unfortunately for humankind, the trauma of his childhood means he is literally incapable of extending this compassion to other human beings. It gives the impression that, had he grown up in a less abusive environment, he wouldn't have become the AxeCrazy monster who needs to be put down that you meet in game.
* UnstoppableRage: [[spoiler: When he and Blazkowicz throw down, he is absolutely ''furious'' with him over Greta's death.]]
* VillainHasAPoint: For anyone who has played ''The New Order'' and [[DoomedByCanon knows what happens after the war]], his statements towards B.J. when interrogating him about his war being lost is not completely unfounded, as we will know that the [[TheBadGuyWins Nazis would later win the war]].

* DirtyOldWoman: LadyDrunk and extraordinarily ''and'' creatively profane.
* EgomaniacHunter: One of the photos in her room shows her posing over the corpse of a giant gorilla.
* EvilCripple: One of her legs was rendered immobile by polio in her youth, so she wears a brace.
* {{Expy}}: Of Helga von Bulow from ''Return to Castle Wolfenstein'', being an old, redheaded, female SS commander who's obsessed with digging up artifacts of incredible power in the catacombs beneath Wulfburg. ** To a lesser degree of Frau Engel, as both are [[DirtyOldWoman Dirty Old Women]] and both have a scene where they interrogate B.J. during tense, [[Creator/QuentinTarantino Tarantino-esque]] dialogue scenes.
* [[FatBastard Fat Bitch]]: Is overweight, likely due to her lack of mobility and LadyDrunk habits.
* {{Ghostapo}}: In another similarity to von Bulow, she focuses her attentions on supporting the Nazi regime through the occult, in contrast to Deathshead's SuperScience approach.
* HoistByHerOwnPetard: [[spoiler:She attempts to control King Otto's monster with the ancient words of command, but still fails to stop the beast from mauling her and Schreiner to death.]]
* LadyDrunk: Tries to hide it under the veneer of being a "connoisseur of fine wines", but ultimately she's just this-- she's frequently drunk during official functions, and it only serves to further bring out her cruelty. It happens often enough that Schreiner and other SS commanders complain to her about it, to which she simply responds with a volley of colorful drunken insults.
* TooDumbToLive: [[spoiler: Well, if you go after an EldritchAbomination that mind you, has been sealed up for a ''very good reason'' with the intention of controlling it, then some people would think you're asking for a death wish. It gets to the point where a ZombieApocalypse is unleashed upon Wulfburg because she opened the catacombs and she ''still'' wants to find the monster.]]

* CommanderContrarian: He constantly questions the effectiveness of Helga von Schabb's archeological dig in Wulfburg and her ability to deliver a super-weapon to Deathshead. Her response? To call Schreiner a "goat fucker".
* TheDragon: For being on Helga's side during her appearances, however, just to be a CommanderContrarian.
* {{Expy}}: Of Professor Zemph from RTCW, being a put-upon lackey of Deathshead's whose warnings and reprimands are ignored by Helga.
* HighClassGlass: He wears a monocle, possibly with delusions of nobility as he's explicitly stated to be from a middle-class family.
* OffWithHisHead: [[spoiler:Gets killed when King Otto's Monster grabs him and bites his head off after he attempts to shoot at it.]]
* SlobsVersusSnobs: Low-key [[InvertedTrope inverted]] version - he acts much more dignified (if somewhat cranky) than the alleged noble von Schabbs, despite being middle-class.

!!King Otto's Monster

* AttackItsWeakPoint: It's only vulnerable point is its open mouth. Key word being "open".
* EldritchAbomination: A product of dark science, created by ancient alchemists working from even ''more'' ancient texts that were half-finished at best, the Monster's true nature is ambiguous at best. Its rotting flesh is covered in bandages, stitches, and patches of metal, and the inside of its mouth [[ThroatLight glows]] an ominous green. King Otto's scholars could only lock it away in the tunnels beneath Wulfburg, where it would spend the next millennium psychically torturing the citizens of the village, causing nightmares and madness for anyone who lived there.
* FinalBoss: Of ''The Old Blood''.
* FrankensteinsMonster: Is covered with bandages and stitches and looks like it's been cobbled together out of body parts.
* FlunkyBoss: Not intentionally on its part, but Nazi soldiers and shamblers will still charge into the fray and target you while you fight it. It's actually easier to get rid of them by [[spoiler:not shooting them at all and letting the blind monster flail in the direction of their gunfire, often reducing them to LudicrousGibs]].
* LeakingCanOfEvil: Despite it being a SealedEvilInACan there are a few hints that it's been psychically tormenting the citizens of Wulfburg, manifesting through nightmares to drive them mad.
* PuzzleBoss: Not in the traditional sense, but knowing that [[spoiler:the monster is blind and reacts to gunfire - and not just your own]] helps immensely in taking it down.
* SealedEvilInACan: It has been imprisoned underneath Wulfburg for over a thousand years at the time of it's discovery.
* TurnsRed: Becomes more aggressive the more you damage it.

* AmbiguouslyGay: Her mother found 'sick things' written in Sigrun's diary who is horrified her mother has read it.
* BigEater: Is heavily overweight and in poor physical condiition and despite being on a diet, her mother searching her room found a stash of chocolate, cookies, sweets and lemonade.
* HeelFaceTurn: She defects to the Kreisau Circle [[MistreatmentInducedBetrayal for the abuse she's sustained from her mother,]] though Grace assumes she's a spy and doesn't like her being in meetings between the Circle and the American resistance.

* [[Characters/WolfensteinBJBlazkowicz B.
J." Blazkowicz]]

[[Characters/WolfensteinAllies Allies]]
* HandicappedBadass:

* OnlySaneMan[=/=]UnfazedEveryman: By the time you find Set Roth, he falls into this trope, giving a long monologue about how bizarre his current situation is, and it's so sarcastic it could peel the paint from the walls. Here it is:

B.J. rescues her and eventually leads her to the Kreisau Circle, where she becomes a radio manager for them.

* LoveInterest: For B.J.
* VoiceWithAnInternetConnection

[[folder:Klaus Kreutz]]
-->'''Introduced in:''' The New Order
-->'''Voiced by''' Ken Lally

A former Nazi soldier who turned on his government and joined the resistance after his family was killed by the secret police.

* TheAtoner: For his days as a Nazi.
* {{Expy}}: To [[Film/IngloriousBasterds Hugo Stiglitz]], after a fashion.
* HeelFaceTurn: See above.
* TokenEnemyMinority: See DefectorFromDecadence
* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: [[spoiler: His final words are a pep talk for Max Hass that basically amounts to this.]]

[[folder:J[[spoiler:imi Hendrix]]]]
--> '''Introduced in:''' The New Order
--> '''Voiced by''': Leith Burke

* KnownOnlyByTheirNickname
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Tekla]]
--> '''Introduced in''': The New Order.
--> '''Voiced by''': Carla Tassara

* BigGuy: He's even bigger than B.J.

* KilledOffScreen: He escapes the incinerator room with B.J. and [[spoiler: Fergus or Wyatt]]. A dialog in a latter part of the game reveals he joined the Kreisau Circle but died in mission at an unspecified moment between 1946 and 1960.

[[folder:Grace]]
--> '''Voiced by''': Debria Wilson

* GatlingGood: {{Dual wield}}s two gatling guns.
* MeaningfulName: Grosse means "big" in German.
* PoweredArmor: Blue variant.

* MoreDakka: Uses four miniguns.

* GatlingGood: {{Dual wield}}s two gatling guns.
* PoweredArmor: Pink female version!

* KingMook: To other mutants.

* TheBaroness: Rosa Klebb variety.
* BrawnHilda
* LargeAndInCharge

* ClimaxBoss

-->"Die, Allied schweinehund!"

* FamousLastWords:
-->'''Deathshead''': [[spoiler: ''So...gullible! (EvilLaugh)'']]

* BerserkButton: Anything that regards something negative happening to his beloved dog Greta, whether is a threat directed towards her or any harm that comes to her.
* TheBrute: Stands at nearly seven feet tall.
* CoDragons: Along with the less formidable Schreiner to Helga.
* DiscOneFinalBoss: The first half of the game, "Rudi Jager and the Den of Wolves", is literally named after him, [[spoiler: and he's killed precisely at the game's halfway point in a boss battle]].
* DeathSeeker: It's heavily implied that [[spoiler: he didn't really care if he lived or died during his battle with Blazkowicz. Although living means killing Blazkowicz in revenge for Greta's death and death meant that [[TogetherInDeath he and Greta would be together in the afterlife.]]]]
* TheDragon: To Helga as the custodian of Castle Wolfenstein.
* VillainousBreakdown: Loses his mind when B.J. kills [[spoiler: his favourite dog Greta.]] to the point of ranting constantly about his loss during the BossFight.
* WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds: Becomes this during the BossFight [[spoiler: after the loss of his dog Greta, not to mention how he grew attached to her given he had to live under an abusive father during his childhood]].

[[folder:Helga von Schabbs]]
--> '''Voiced by''': Gabrielle Scharnitzky

* AGlassOfChianti: Deconstructed. See LadyDrunk.
* TheBaroness: Entirely the Rose Klebb variety.
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: [[spoiler:Chewed up and spat out by King Otto's Monster. Even if the player opts not to finish her, she's guaranteed to die of her wounds.]]
* DidntThinkThisThrough: [[spoiler:Mostly averted; Helga has done her homework on King Otto's Monster and successfully brings it under her control but she forgets one important detail; the Monster is ''blind'', and when she tells it to feed, it chews up the person closest to it - '''her'''.]]
She's even got the same first name! Her last name, on the other hand, seems to be derived from Doctor Schabbs -- which makes sense, given that they both appear in chapters involving the undead.

[[folder:Emmerich Schreiner]]
--> '''Voiced by''': Hans-Eckart Eckardt

* ButtMonkey: Helga just doesn't give this guy a break, despite being there to ''oversee'' her.
* CoDragons: Along with the more imposing and brutal Rudi Jäger to Helga.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Spoiler Character]]

!!Introduced in ''Wolfenstein: The New Colossus''

[[folder:Sigrun Engel]]
One of Frau Engel's daughters. She's overweight, much more sensitive, and far less willing to hurt other people than her mother, and Frau Engel [[AbusiveParents never lets her forget it.]]

* AbusiveParents: Frau goads her with the help of her men to use an axe on Caroline as she sobs and begs not to.
* TheUnfavourite: Because of her weight, her mother sees her as a disgrace to both her bloodline and her race, and tells her as such.
* TheWoobie: Her mother is highly abusive towards her for her obesity and aversion to violence, and later after joining the Resistance she's called a Nazi spy by Grace and flees the room crying.

* GoodIsNotNice: He's definitely TheHero but his methods are extremely visceral.
