* WrongGenreSavvy: If his dialog when fighting him is anything to go by, he appears to genuinely believe that he is TheHero of the story, in which he created a new superior civilization with [[ScienceHero the introduction of advance technology]], while the resistance are BombThrowingAnarchists seeking to destroy his work.

* FinalBoss: Played straight, but later averted, when Id Software updated the game with three more episodes. These episodes are prequel missions, so he is still, chronologically, THE final boss.

Real life person, the leader of Third Reich and the final (at least, chronologically) boss of the game. Encountered in the last level of third episode. ID later released three more prequel episodes, so Hitler is not the last nor the hardest of bosses, but certainly the most memorable. He is protected by "Fake Hitlers": moving automatons equipped with flamethrowers.

* TheGhost: In the universe of 2009 game and ''The New Order'', despite apparently being the still-reigning Fuhrer of the Reich, he never makes an appearance.

An OSA agent, Blazkowicz is the main protagonist of the saga. B.J. differs in appearance through various continuities (original ''3D'' universe, ''Return to Castle Wolfenstein'', ''Wolfenstein RPG'', and the timeline of the 2009 game, ''The New Order\The Old Blood'' and ''The New Colossus''), but the majority of his traits ramain the same.

* AxCrazy: Downplayed but present, especially in ''The New Order.'' B.J is an oddly stoic version of this - he's quite intelligent on the whole, but he is rather... temperamental to the point of stupidity in some of what he does, like interrogating someone with a chainsaw or deciding to use his knife on Deathshead because shooting would be too good a death for him. [[spoiler: True to form, Deathshead takes advantage of the latter one to disastrous effect.]]

* CharlesAtlasSuperpower: He is incredibly strong, implied to be because of his youth on an American farm, to the point he can carry around the [[{{BFG}} MG46]] (a heavy machinegun normally used by the Nazi [[SuperSoldier Super Soldiers]] -- or mounted on turrets) as a personal weapon and dual-wield automatic double-barrelled shotguns and assault rifles.
* TheComicallySerious: Much of the humor in ''The New Order'' comes from BJ's growling whispers in response to utterly bizarre circumstances, and delivering the strangest lines in the same deadpan tone:

* DentedIron: A major part of his characterization starting in the New Order, as he delivers this line as Fergus gives him CPR.

* MadeOfIron: This is [[LampshadedTrope lampshaded a few times]], especially in ''The New Order'', to the relief of allies and pure, absolute shock by enemies. It's rather bizarre in that BJ is demonstrably immune to stab wounds.

He definitely went up a couple more levels between the escape from Deathshead's compound and 1960. It seems the minute BJ shows up and slaps him he starts leveling up, going from a shaking wreck, to scared but useful on the beach, to ''kicking ass''.

* TheSmartGirl: It's casually mentioned she was working towards a doctorate in archeology before the war broke out, and she gets to show her smarts quite a bit throughout the game, essentially singlehandedly uncovering the existence of [[spoiler:the Da'at Yichud]] and tracking down [[spoiler:Set Roth]]. [[spoiler:Her past as "Ramona" shows that her smarts extended to Nazi killing as well]].

** And just to make things even more confusing, her last name is spelled with a "w", as Polish ortography would have it be, rather than a "v". It should be noted that the Polish script is pretty much the only major Latin-based Slavic alphabet to use "w" in place of "v". Why the devlopers would opt to mess with the self-evident first name rather than the less-than-obvious last name is anyone's guess. For a somewhat plausible pronunciation of "Oliwa", attach an "-ah" sound at the end of the word "olive".
* TookALevelInBadass: In ''WolfensteinIITheNewColossus'' she appears to have become a full-fledged ActionGirl.
