Hilda talks about staring into his eyes, and Tatiana about not being able to bear losing him, so even those seem to not be explicitly platonic, unless there is later dialog that shows otherwise. Like is it stated they do not become queen?

* PlatonicLifePartners: While it is easy to assume that Alain will marry any eligible female characters, there are cases where Alain has no romantic feelings toward the woman and vice versa, like Hilda, Ramona, and Tatiana.

* ChickMagnet: Alain is strong, noble, handsome, and charismatic, all which gets a lot of attention from female characters. In the main story alone both Scarlett and Rosalinde openly express interest in him. If you include sidequests, this expands to include the likes of Melisandre (who outright offers to be his mistress). If you include rapports and marriageable characters, the number gets impressively big with many characters admitting they find him attractive, are falling for him, etc. in conversations with or about him. Should he have more than one rapport conversation with a female unit, the last one will usually feature him doing or saying something flirtatious or intimate enough to fluster her, with some having him all but confess romantic feelings that she is willing to return. Melisandre notably assumes he's going to have a large number of willing consorts in the future in addition to his actual wife (not that Alain himself necessarily has such intentions).

Added DiffLines:

* ComicallyMissingThePoint: Should he gives the Ring of the Maiden to Yunifi she will remark on her hopes of adding to their family in the future, only for Alain to remark it is a nice idea but he only has one pair of rings, indicating he thought she meant adding more ''spouses''.

* HolyHandGrenade: The main difference between her Priestess class and the Cleric class is that Scarlett is capable of fighting with magick, represented as a beam of light fired from the sky. She starts with "Holy Light", a magick attack (thus that ignores armor) that [[StatusBuffDispel removes all buffs]] on the targeted enemy, and learns ''Innocent Ray'', a magick attack that deals damage and removes all buffs to a row of enemies, at Level 30 as a High Priestess.

Meanwhile, Scarlett is plucky, assertive, and "exotic," as [[spoiler:she was born in Albion and the Pontifex's daughter, making her just as regal as Alain]].

* KarmicJackpot: It's repeatedly demonstrated that acting with compassion and extending a helping hand benefits Alain far more than short-term material gains from not doing so. From a gameplay perspective, he's getting valuable allies who will help him and the world after the war ends if given the chance to; from a story perspective, prioritising the liberation of all countries before Cornia [[spoiler:makes for the least-bloody fight at the end]], and extending that mercy to [[spoiler:Galerius leads to his mother's survival, Baltro's KarmicDeath, and the curse on the souls of Zenoira being lifted.]]

* MiseryBuildsCharacter: The loss of his mother, home and old life was a traumatic experience for the seven-year-old Alain but as he and Josef both assert, it also made him both more emotionally resilient in the long-term and he grew into [[TheWisePrince a far more wise and compassionate young man]] than he'd been before then.

Added DiffLines:

* SleevesAreForWimps: Downplayed. He noticibly stands out among the majority of playable male characters in the game for not wearing an outfit with sleeves, and although he has armored gloves covering most of his arms and his shoulders are partly covered by his cape, it is not enough to obscure how muscular they are.
