Sounds more like a jerkass to me.

* {{Narcissist}}: He fits this definition quite well. His [[BitchInSheepsClothing superficial charm]] is just a facade to hide the resentment he holds towards Minato and Shuu. He only thinks about himself, winning, being the best, and getting revenge on those who have provoked his rather childish grudges. When he and Minato get stuck in the elevator, he goes as far as admitting to Minato that [[ManipulativeBastard he only used his teammates to his advantage]].

* DeconstructedCharacterArchetype: Of what it means to be TheAce. As an individual, Masaki fits the mold of the ace coming from a poor background, particularly in contrast to Shuu. However, he is an incredibly talented archer who formed a club for himself and made it to the national level without a coach's supervision. Unfortunately, he is also incredibly resentful and self-centered, only interested in winning to then retire from kyudo. If his target weren't motivated by a childish grudge fueled by his adolescent stubbornness and rebelliousness, he would likely be an incredibly talented archer.
