* TraumaCongaLine: It's very difficult not to pity Radovid during the later part of Season 3. Not only does he gets a first-hand look how utterly [[EvlierThanThou out of his depth he is compared to Dijkstra and Philippa]] and is terrified into working for them directly, but just when he [[HopeSpot thinks he's free from his obligation in order to peruse his romance his Jaskier (after basically having a emotional breakdown and breakthrough with the other man) after having a rather heartwarming conversation with his older brother]], [[spoiler: [[YankTheDogChain Philippa kills his older brother and essentially forcibly passes the crown of Redania to him while he's very clearly traumatized the fact his older brother has be killed]].]]

* AdaptationalSexuality: Firmly heterosexual in the original canon (he was actually married, to Princess Adda in fact), but at least attracted to men here.

* TheDandy: Despite the fact that most of his foolish and apparently hedonistic attitude is outright confirmed to be ObfuscatingStupidity on his part, the fact that he's impeccably groomed no matter what and tends to carries himself as a ostentatious prince means that some of his foppish demeanor is actually the real deal.

* UnexpectedSuccessor:[[spoiler: Yes, as the prince of Redania he technically was the running to be king by blood, but ''nobody'', least of all him, ever expected his older brother to be murdered and having to take the crown of Redania. His last scene has him looking a mixture of grieving (for he lost a brother he geneungly loved) and utterly lost.]]

Of course, said sacrifice becomes moot thanks to Phillipa's darker [[TakeAThirdOption third option]].]]

One cannot help thinking that her killing Visimir was in great part in order to protect Dijkstra.]]

While an utterly betrayed and bitter Tissaia throws out to Philippa that Dijkstra, a manipulative schemer in his own right, will betray Philippa just like Vilgefortz betrayed her Philippa ardently argues that they are equal partners (instead of a manipulator and his victim) and he would never. Dijkstra would go on to prove Philippa absolutely right, to the point that he's willing to ''die'' at her hands in order to spare Philippa punishment.]]

* EveryoneHasStandards: Despite the fact that she's [[KnightTemplar willing to cross some pretty nasty moral lines for what she sees as the the good of Redania]], she legitimately seems to believe she's acting on a ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight principle and has nothing but utter scorn and disdain and how hedonistic and decadent she believes The Brotherhood of Sorcerers has become over the decades. Her conversations with Yennefer all have the air of someone who firmly believes themselves to be a DefectorFromDecadence trying to convince another of thier viewpoint.

* DeadpanSnarker: Dry wit and mocking sarcasm is basically how she communicates: her conversation with Dandelion is filled with barely hidden disdainful mockery, including blatant threats, and she's just initially as utterly dismissive about Prince Radovid as well. And while she's notably more less blatantly sarcastic with Dijkstra, Yennifer, Tissaia and Geralt she's not about to stop herself from making sly digs at them or even throwing subtle sardonic insinuations.
