* SelfMadeMan: A commoner who rose to become The Chief of Redanian Intelligence and the most skilled and dangerous [[TheSpymaster spymaster]] in all the continent. He outright admits to his commoner status towards Geralt in hopes to find a CommonalityConnection with him, which hilariously fails. Vizimir also hints at this background he points out that Dijkstra rose to power thanks to him.

She's 's so ruthlessly and uncompromisingly devoted to Redania's sovereignty that she's actually willing to [[spoiler:kill the current queen, send her decapitated head to the king and use her death as a FalseFlagOperation in order to galvanize Redania against Nilfgaard and to make sure Redania will never be consumed by the rising empire.]] The amount of [[TheUnfettered moral lines she's willing to cross in her devotion to hercountry]] are horrifying, but what's even worse is that they have the desired effect.

* EvilerThanThou: Or this this case, "More Ruthless Than Thou". [[ManipulativeBastard Radovid]] believed he had Dijkstra's number pegged to the point that he could borderline heckle him. ** As a king, he's notably more willful and independent than Dijkstra might like and he's not completely wihtout his own separate agenda outside of Dijkstra, as seen when he has secret meeting with Nilfgaard and essentially almost brokers a deal with them without Dijkstra's input, even if said deal us utterly destroyed by Dijkstra's FalseFlagOperation. As both he and Radovid point out, Vizimir is Dijkstra's ''boss'' and while Dijkstra might advice, the final decision is Vizimir's alone.

And while she's notably more less blatantly sarcastic with Dijkstra, Yennifer, Tissaia and Geralt she's not about to stop herself from making sly digs at them or even throwing subtle sardonic insinuations.

* WeUsedToBeFriends: With Tissaia de Vries. While Tissaia vaguely tells Yennifer that thier friendship had "ran its course", Philippa goes more into depth on "The Art of Illusion": according to Philippa, she argued against the mages participation in Sodden, stating that countless mages would unnecessarily die in the combat and Tissaia fervently disagreed. [[JerkassHasAPoint Considering that before Yennifer pulled her Big Damn Heroes moment during said battle the Northen Mages were dying in droves, one cannot help to think that Philippa was not quite wrong.]]

* ManipulativeBastard: Very, ''very'' good at pinpointing the emotional chinks in others in order to make them act as he wants. With Jaskier he's TheCharmer, all but slowly seducing him by both creating a deep emotional bond and make him think that Redania is much better for Ciri than it actually is. With Dijkstra he's The Gadfly, making the other man notice that for all of his HyperCompetentSidekick he ''really'' does not control Vizimir as much as he wishes, to the point that a small comment towards Dijkstra about a potential deal between Vizimir and Nilfgaard acutally creates the first friction between Vizimir and Dijkstra seen in the series. He seems to be very well aware that in order to manipulate others, sometimes you have to use the "carrot" and sometimes the "stick".
