* AttackReflector: At a glance, the Shield Spear Ancille seems to be a defensive weapon capable of producing magical barriers strong enough to block both physical and magical attacks. It's true use however is to absorb the energy of the attack and unleash it back at his opponent. When he uses it to block the breath attack of the Sea Dragon, he's able to use the absorbed power to bisect the Sea Dragon Warrior and her gargantuan dragon in one strike.

* DarkIsNotEvil: Jeongsu's overall design as a Warrior uses dark colors to evoke the image of a dark knight. Upon invoking Didantium, the armor once worn by the Demon Lord of the Spear World that Jeongsu took after defeating them, he gains a menacing helmet and the power of the Demon Lord themself, represented by an unsettling purple aura. Despite this, Jeongsu is, while jaded and obsessed with revenge, still a heroic person at heart, contrasting sharply with Minsu's LightIsNotGood design.

* JoustingLance: Jeongsu is able to send word back to the Spear World requesting new and more powerful weapons to help him fight Minsu Kim. The first spear they send back is Heukto, a lance that generates a mechanical horse for him to ride upon. In addition to solving Jeongsu's relatively slow movement speed compared to the other Warriors, the lance itself posseses incredible penetration power thanks to its ability to rotate rapidly as it thrusts.
* KnightInSourArmor: Jeongsu goes on and on about how he's only fighting for vengeance for his family and nothing else. But he pays his respects to all of the fallen sailors who sacrificed themselves to help him reach and defeat the Sea Dragon Warrior and is enraged when innocent lives are killed. Minsu notes that for all of Jeongsu's hatred, there's still a glimmer of hope in his eyes.

* BeyondTheImpossible: As a rule, a Warrior can only become slightly stronger than the Demon Lord of the world they're summoned to. Jeongsu, however, was so single-mindedly determined to become strong enough to kill Minsu Kim that he trained until his power completely overshadowed the Spear Demon Lord. A feat that, by all accounts, shouldn't have been possible. The summoner who brought him to their world even states that Jeongsu managed to set a new pinnacle for the Spear World.

* HeWhoFightsMonsters: In his efforts to become strong enough to kill Minsu, Jeongsu becomes cruel, bloodthirsty, and single-mindedly focused on inflicting every manner of torture on the man who ruined his life. He winds up becoming even more terrifying than the Demon Lord, whom he revives over and over to use as a training dummy. It's not until the people of the Spear World beg him to stop and promise to help him achieve his vengeance that he relents, leaving him a KnightInSourArmor with a little bit of humanity left instead of an out-an-out monster.

* NotTheIntendedUse: His spears are kept in the Spear World until he summons them, which gives Jeongsu the unique ability among the Warriors to be able to communicate with the Spear World even after he returned to Earth. This ability allows Jeongsu to request the Spear World for more powerful weapons after his original ones fail to do the job.

This ability allows Jeongsu him to request the Spear World for more powerful weapons after his original ones fail to do the job.

* ThePowerOfHate: Jeongsu draws his power from his overwhelming hatred of and desire to kill the rampaging Warriors, especially Minsu Kim. His hatred enabled him to surpass any previously summoned Spear Warrior, setting a new pinnacle of the Spear World. That said, the series ultimately deconstructs this trait. For starters, Jeongsu's hatred only serves to alienate him from most others, including those who wish to help him. On top of that, while his hatred is a great source of strength and determination, it's still not enough to help him match Minsu. Finally, it's revealed by that his obsession with getting revenge is actually holding him back from realizing his full potential as a Warrior.

* ThisIsADrill: Jeongsu gets a new spear called Heukto, a lance designed for frontal assaults via mounted combat. In addition to providing a mechanical horse for him to ride, it's able to spin to penetrate through durable objects like an electric drill. The speed of Heukto's rotation is enormous, to the point of
