Her friendliness to Coriolanus in this version is implied to be more of a case of her being a FalseFriend and AcademicAlphaBitch rather than a genuinely close relationship, bringing up that they were often academic partners in order to edge her way onto the proposal writing team in the first place (in the original she was elected along with Snow to do it).
