* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: As the Dragonlord of Charnac, not only he is the leader but also one of the strongest fighters it has.

** Kassandra has powerful precognitive abilities in both the long and short terms (such as being able to tell how someone will likely die after seeing their face), with the latter manifesting in her being able to predict the actions of her opponents in combat and counter-act them before they even come to pass. She also possesses superhuman skill in terms of stealth, often being described as skulking around with the skill of a cat [[StealthyColossus despite being a huge Primarch]].

* FantasticRacism: He hates mutants with a passion, especially Navigators, whom he's planning to exterminate once he no longer needs them. Thought he admits internally that this wouldn't stop him from having sex with one. He also has mixed feelings in regards to Guilliman allying with the Eldar since he's most familiar with the ones responsible for birthing Slaanesh.
* TheFogOfAges: A lot of his memory of tens of thousands of years of life has become a bit blurry. His conquests as Alexander, for instance, he can only remember in broad strokes, and he can only vaguely recall the details of his Labors as Heracles, such as while he remembers the broad strokes of slaying the Nemean Lion and a desire to atone for some mistake, he can't remember exactly ''why'' he was doing it or even who exactly was giving him the tasks.
* GoodIsNotNice: Had considered the idea of ending the entire Navigators clans because they are inbred, incestuous jerks who will do anything to ensure they stay in power. Not to mention what he had planned for the Thunder Warriors though given their dying status it was understandable.

* PapaWolf: While he is more than willing to let them take care of themselves, hurting his daughters and sons is a good way to end up being wiped from existence. As an example, after learning of Aurelia's RapeByBackstory, he's visibly furious and even laments how he wishes he could've been to Colchis sooner to not only save Aurelia from such a nightmare, but to make sure her captors suffered horrifically prior to him incinerating their entire planet.

* PlayingWithFire: Able to emit intense psychic flames from his body to destroy the enemy.

** The Hydra is a StealthExpert par excellence, being able to shift and hide her appearance akin to the Emperor himself.
** Hathor's abilities is more or less limited to "just" possessing incredible charisma and an instinctual knowledge & skill in tactics greater than virtually any of her other sisters.
** Danu Dorn is an incredible genius in terms of crafting and augmenting devices & fortifications.

* AMotherToHerMen: The Emperor explicitly notes the aspect of himself within Hathor represents his ability to lead others and inspire them to a cause. By the time he finds her, she is not only a high-ranking member of a large gang, she has earned their loyalty despite the obvious cutthroat nature of their life and she is reluctant to part from them, only doing so once the Emperor affirms they would be compensated and taking a moment to affirm herself that he will keep his word.

* MeaningfulName: "Madonna" is a Italian word that describes a woman worthy of admiration, which is quite fitting as she is a young child who quickly mastered all fields of education on Prospero and is also a brilliant prodigy in the ways of war & sorcery.

* ImpressivePyrotechnics: Was able to pull off one of her own as a way to intimidate intruders.

** Morrigan is excellent in stealth (though not on the same level as Kassandra), but most notably is completely unmatched among the Primarchs in terms of physical resistance and durability, typically defeating her foes by invoking VictoryThroughEndurance.

* HalfHumanHybrid: Lucem, unlike his siblings, was forged using the technology of the C'tan along with the Emperor's knowledge and essence.

* FlawedPrototype: Lucem was the first attempt by the Emperor to see if it was even possible to create a being close to his level to aid in his mission to destroy humanity's enemies. While a success, the Emperor notes that the initial process was flawed and limited, creating not a son or even a warrior, but a [[CripplingOverspecialization weapon]]. Even so, Lucem's creation taught the Emperor much about the process that would further be refined with the production of geneseed before creating the Primarchs.
* PlayingWithFire: Able to expunge intense psychic flames to destroy the enemy.

* TheDeterminator: The Emperor of Mankind had Danu's core personality to be that of a worker who will face any problems head-on, working tirelessly to plan and adapt to any problems and work to solve them.
* MeaningfulName: Danu translates to "swift-flowing" or refers to the Earth-mother goddess in Celtic mythology. Given that her soul is that of a large, immobile bulwark of frost and her intended purpose, it is a fitting name. Not to mention her name of "Danu Dorn" roughly translates to "river fortress" in Celtic, and fortresses found on rivers were often described as ideal places for fortifications in classical warfare.

* RedOniBlueOni: A small case as while Danu is quiet and of few words, she tends to be the red oni as she forges ahead without caring what others think.

* IdenticalStranger: Explicitly noted; Amadeus DuCaine, Legion master of the Stormwalkers noticed that Roboute looks almost identical to the Unspeakable King who he killed fifty years before. Both Roboute and the Unspeakable King rule over a land called Albion/Albyon, ruled from a mountain top keep and had red right hands.
* ImmuneToFate: One of the many effects of being transported shortly after dying into the past, per the Word of God [[spoiler: Roboute is now hidden from the sights of those who have prophetic gifts related to Tzeentch, the Chaos god of fate, and even Tzeentch himself can't detect him. This is because [[TricksterGod Cegorach]] is specifically screwing with Tzeentch, and only Tzeentch, so Kassandra can still see him in her visions.]]

* AwesomenessByAnalysis: Petra can see structural weak points with a glance, however, it also makes them feel observed constantly by the Eye of Terror, and as Guilliman notes how [[BlessedWithSuck seeing weaknesses everywhere he looks was likely a major reason as to why Perturabo was so miserable]].

* SurveillanceDrone: Has one in the form of a servo-skull she build herself, and even named it "Ena".
* TerseTalker: Much like her canonical counterpart of Peturabo, Petra talks with as few words as possible. During her first meeting with Roboute, he took note of the fact that the first two sentences she ever spoke to him were single words. The third was a diss at the "the prophet" (actually himself unknown to her) who thought she would be a boy.

* TookALevelInBadass: Thanks to the training, aid and (most importantly) love & support of her sisters and Roboute, she goes from a scared & near-helpless little girl to a formidable and dangerous warrior.

* ActionGirl: While all of the Primarches will be this in time, Morrigan was the first sister Roboute encountered who had already been tested on the field of battle against the rotting zombie hordes of Barbarus' overlords.
* TheAtoner: She first fought for Barbarus against the hordes of her evil sorcerous adoptive father since she wanted to atone for indirectly helping in the subjugation of their people by acting as one of his agents. Furthermore, she's made it a major goal of her to forever make up for [[spoiler:nearly getting both herself and Roboute killed when she tried to kill the last Chaos sorcerer on Barbarus alone even when it was clear the planet was about to turn into a Daemon World]].

* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Him being exposed to the Sword of the God-Emperor (as in, the version of the Emperor from [=M42=] in the prime timeline) physically takes him aback.

** Roboute notes to his curious sisters that the Emperor seems to be blissfully unaware when trying to explain concepts that others don't have the same knowledge base or perception.

* TheEngineer: The well-documented and researched manual describing the maintenance and operation of Knights and Titans he sent to Roboute? He didn't just pull it out of thin air or ask it to be compiled from a bunch of tech-priests -- ''he wrote it himself based on only his own knowledge.''

* PetTheDog: Malcador for all his jerkass attitude, gifted the Twentieth Primarch a prosthetic eye to replace her old eye because it was her birthday.
* VitriolicBestBuds: Share this status with the Emperor of Mankind, with him probably being the only person in the galaxy who can regularly snark at him without getting potentially incinerated.

* HandicappedBadass: [[EyeScream Lost an eye]] during the invasion of a Daemon on the gene-cult Luna and had been working without an eye for several years. She eventually gets a [[ElectronicEyes Bionic Eye]] due to Malcador.

* SpitTake: Hathor has one when learning from Lofn that Madonna uses biomancy to increase her breast size out of BreastEnvy.

* SentimentalHomemadeToy: A variant of one as hers isn't a toy but the fur cloak of her adoptive grandfather.

* BreastEnvy: Had one and decides to compensate it by subtly using her psychic powers to increase her breast size.

* MeaningfulName: Madonna is a word that describes a woman worthy of admiration, fitting as she is a young child who mastered all fields of education of Prospero and the way she acts as well.

* AMotherToHerMen: Has shades of this, what with her boasting of her Legion's accomplishments during the Scouring of Barbarus being basically presented as being akin to a proud mother boasting about her children passing a difficult test at school. Below is how she describes her thoughts to Athena and Hathor when she's sharing her home-brewed Mjod.

* MeaningfulName: Lofn is the name of a Norse deity associated with comfort and nurture, something that the Sixth Legionas Astartes Primarch was built as she was meant to be the one that excels in forging friendship with warriors and the like.

* MeaningfulName: The First was named after a famous heroine and huntswoman from Greek mythology, and the young Primarch was created as the ideal warrior through The Emperor's memories of his life as a hunter of beasts.

* HunterOfMonsters: Not to the same extent as her canon counterpart, but Athena has showcased her strength and cunning when facing the mechanical beasts of Medusa. Her introductory chapter even features her killing a huge mechanical scorpion just so she can get some higher quality metal for crafting a new sword.

* MiseryBuildsCharacter: A more positive case mixed with TaughtByExperience; when she's trying to comfort Hathor following the Scouring of Barbarus and her "older sister" is grieving over the loss of many of her soldiers, Athena simply muses aloud that while her own forces took hideous losses, that's to be expected when fighting a new foe for the first time in a war and next time they fight a force similar to the Nurglite daemons, her soldiers will know how to properly fight against such a force and will triumph and emerge even stronger than before.

The {{Greater Scope Villain}}s to the setting of ''Warhammer [=40K=]''. The Chaos Gods are four terrifyingly powerful and malicious Warp entities created and empowered by the emotions of sapient life, and wish to ravage the universe for the rest of time in service to their own power. They consist of Khorne (the god of war, rage and hatred), Tzeentch (the god of knowledge, deceit, fate and magic), Nurgle (the god of plagues and decay) and Slaanesh (the "youngest" of the Ruinous Powers created by the Fall of the Eldar, and which is the god of excess and depravity).

* AdaptationalExpansion: A case done by the author, as he has stated that he desires to add more variety to the daemons affiliated with the Chaos Gods

*** Additionally, thanks to her having devoured their pantheon and now holding ownership over their afterlife, the Aeldari all hold a special level of hatred for Slaanesh.

* TheComicallySerious: Serves as one. When Asarnil jokingly stated Roboute have interest in female tech-priest, Carl was more willing to let Roboute take several as his mistress if it could place the Gryphonne IV in good favour of the Primarchs' book.
* CommonalityConnection: Finds one in Asarnil when they discuss the language unique to their own faction.
* EveryoneHasStandards: Doesn't particularly like the fact that Roboute has interest in xeno women and even female tech priest but will let him take several if he likes them.
* {{Expy}}: Of Karl Franz from Warhammer Fantasy, to the point where they even have the same first names.

* BadassTeacher: Serves as one to The Hydra and wanted her to act as a safeguard should he become a threat to the Imperium.
* BeleagueredAssistant: Crossed with HypercompetentSidekick, as he does find certain actions of The Emperor of Mankind frustrating. Especially with his friends' constant tinkering with biomancy.
* BoomerangBigot: Lampshaded in the series as Malcador notes the irony was not lost on him as he despises sorcerers despite being one and arguably the second best in all of the Imperium.

* TheEngineer: Was a Titan and Knight expert if a book he sent to Roboute is anything to go by, not to mention how it was written by him of all people.
* EvilOldFolks: The Emperor at one point (without explicitly going into it) notes that Malcador has done far more heinous deeds than he has.

* HypercompetentSidekick: Sports a variant of this to some degree as he is the one who handles the writing and recording of documents and aiding The Emperor in a wide variety of tasks, one in particular being the supervision of the Astronomicon's construction.
* KnightInSourArmor: In spite of being incredibly old ( not as old as Conan) and have a dour disposition, Malcador cares for humanity and seeks to ensure the survival of the race. In addition, he tutored the Twentieth Primarch to the best of his ability.
* MadeOfIron: Was able to walk away in a single piece from ''getting punted through a literal spaceship'' (though he did grouse about getting some chest pains as a result).
* MindOverMatter: Posses telekinetic powers as he is a psyker, using it to levitate a half-defunct anti-grav carrier and had intimidated The Hydra into backing down when she protest too much.

* EstablishingCharacterMoment: An InUniverse case; the Eighth Legion of Space Marines is almost entirely made up of [[RecruitingTheCriminal the formerly-imprisoned children of criminals and other prisoners]], and generally have an internal culture evocative of prisoners (i.e., they all seem to enjoy smoking, playing cards and drinking cheap beer while presenting themselves as hardened toughs). As such, Kassandra immediately gets off on the right foot with them by approaching them with ''lots'' of bottles of Exodite Ambrosia instead of ordering them around like a slavedriver and viewing them as equals.

* HiddenDepths: She is far more perceptive than she looks (with it being strongly implied that she uses ObfuscatingStupudity to get people to underestimate her so she can manipulate them), such as her noticing Madonna subtly using biomancy to increase her breast size. More seriously, she also seems to be the fastest of the Primarchs in terms of them all acclimating to their future purpose as generals, as seen in her [[BrutalHonesty pointing out to Athena & Hathor that death is a natural part of a soldier's life]] and how that means that she is able to shrug off the deaths of her Astartes soldiers as that is just part of the norm in war (so long as they die nobly and for a good cause, of course).

* MachineWorship: Played with. Petra recited the litanties of the Mechanicus as a habit despite undemanding their nor really needed. On the Mechanicus side a sect has started to form around her as they have proclaimed her Blessed-By-Deus-Mechanicus

* RapeAsBackstory: One of the punishments she often received would be sexual assault. Aurelia's words indicate it was only because she knew through dreams that Roboute would come to rescue her that she didn't break.
* StepfordSmiler: Become one overtime, whenever she speaks to people who are her brother's potential enemies or not his allies and even to Morrigan because while she may have forgiven her misdeeds, she will never forget it.

* AbusiveDad: Not as bad as Kor Phaeron but her father was a Chaos-worshipping alien sorcerer who used to subject her to his experimentation.

He fondly remembers a lover from when he was a pharaoh, revels in memories of slaying the Nemean Lion, and smiles about that trick with an enchanted sword in stone. He named his spaceship Bucephalus and jetbike Gringolet after his horses from long ago when he was UsefulNotes/AlexanderTheGreat and [[Myth/KingArthur Sir Gawain]], was called St. George, once knew [[Myth/NorseMythology an old one-eyed man who named his spear Gungnir]], and once [[Myth/KingArthur served a king who had a fine-looking sword and whose kingdom fell to the bastard spawn of two sorceresses]]. Pick a notable character in human history or myths, and you have a good chance that it was either him or he at least knew them personally.

* ActionGirl: By the time she was discovered she was already pushing three meters tall and had a muscled build to match, and unlike Aurelia (who's growth was forced by her horrific conditions), she had plenty of fighting experience as a gang member to back it up. She spends much of her time training after being discovered.
* BrutishCharacterBrutishWeapon: As a member of a violent gang, Hathor is rather crass and her choice of weapons reflect in this, choosing to use a mace as her weapon of choice.
* CommonalityConnection: Like her canon self, Hathor bonds over Lofn, the Sixth Primarch and even connected with the Tenth Primarch, Athena through sparring matches as they are all warriors at heart.

* HasAType: Implied. Hathor prefers cute-looking boys.
