A princess of House Llyr and the last in a line of powerful enchantresses, Eilonwy was stolen as a child by Queen Achren, who intended to use Eilonwy’s power to conquer Prydain. * ObfuscatingStupidity[=/=]ObfuscatingInsanity: An unusually blatant example, as while the three ''act'' like silly {{Cloud CuckooLander}}s, their dialogue is so peppered with winks, nudges and [[ShameIfSomethingHappened barely-veiled]] [[BreadEggsMilkSquick threats]] that their visitors tend to play along with their bit more out of (entirely justified) wariness than actually being fooled.

* ShameIfSomethingHappened: Orddu's EstablishingCharacterMoment is to appear [[StealthHiBye in the party's blind spot]] and ask them if, incidentally, they'd enjoy being ''[[BalefulPolymorph turned into a toad]] and [[SquashedFlat stepped on]]'', adding that [[FalseReassurance she wouldn't actually step on them because she'd hate the squashiness afterwards]]. The three continue peppering their dialogue with similar statements, ensuring that neither Taran nor his friends forget whom they're dealing with.
