Overall, the season was a major improvement over the previous one. first and foremost due to the cast, which featured a wider variety of interesting teamswhereas the first season relied heavily on Jet & Dave to provide entertainment, as well as several teams that could be considered outright villains. Course design was also considered to be an improvement, with the teams competing outside of Canada for the very first time, while not sacrificing any of the course difficulty that had made the first season so interesting. However, there were still several drawbacks. Detour choices were more consistent with earlier Amazing Race incarnations (easier but longer vs shorter but harder), a poorly placed Non-Elimination point (after a Fast Forward, allowing the team who went for it and failed to survive), RubberbandAI helping two teams who stumbled hours behind the others to catch up almost immediatelywith one team being saved this way twice, a finale that featured two luck tasks along with two tasks that usually heavily favor all0male teams, and having one team consistently smoke the other teams to win more than half the legssaid team had nine top two finishes, only one other teams even managed four. Despite the season's overall rockiness, the finale featured three likable teams, and with an unexpected end result, the season was considered to be a success.

they refused S Ukhi & J Inder during the task, and told Ryan & Rob after they were done

* HonorBeforeReason: Minor example during Leg 11's Signal Flag Detour as they told Ryan & Rob to look closely at the flags. This was likely due to them wanting to keep Ryan & Rob in the race instead of Sukhi & Jinder (who were also struggling at the Detour).

Failing A Taxi is about being unable to hail a taxi, not about having a bad cab driver

* FailingATaxi: Very literally in this case. They managed to pull ahead of both teams upon landing in Ottawa. However their taxi driver got lost on the way to the Fleet Street Pumping House, leaving them in last place. Despite making up time they were unable to catch up with the other 2 until arriving at the National Gallery of Canada

having them look weak would be foreshadowing of them winning, not losing. Having them look unbeatable would look the other team look more impressive for beating them, while making them look weak would keep them from being boring in victory.

Best Friends from Muskoka, they wanted to prove that you could compete in the race while having lots of fun in the meantime. Like the other two teams in the finale, they rarely fought with each other, or with anyone else, and concentrated on goofing off as much as they could. During the race, they usually ran in the middle of the pack, with consistent third place finishes throughout their run. In the finale, their experience in the Muskoka finally paid off when they were able to overtake Natalie & Meaghan in the Ottawa River Rafting task, giving them a lead that they never gave up, allowing them their only leg win as well as the Race itself.

Co-workers, Rob is a former Mr. Gay Canada. Despite a pair of straight second place finishes, they actually spent more time at the back of the pack, with six straight bottom-two finishes leading up to the finale, including coming last in two non-elimination legs. Such luck could not be carried into the finale, as they were ultimately done in by a terrible cab driver who did not know where the Fleet Street Pumping station was, putting them behind so much that they had no chance to catch up, finishing in 3rd.

Overall, this season was a major improvement compared to the previous season. One of the reasons for this was the cast, with several decent and interesting teams to cheer for deep into the season, as well as several teams that could be considered outright villains. Course design was also considered to be an improvement with the teams competing outside of Canada for the very first time and hitting the contestants with the same course difficulty from the first season. Like any season of the Amazing Race, there were some drawbacks, with RubberbandAI helping two teams who stumbled far behind the others and would have been eliminated otherwise, and one team consistently smoking the other teams to win more than half the legs. In the end, the finale had three teams anyone could cheer for and with the shocking end result, the overall season was considered to be a success.

And with Natalie & Meaghan being the only team remaining to have won any legs (seven of them), the odds were clearly in the Hockey Girls' favour.

We don\'t need to say that there is going to be a third season. There just is.

* FailedByTaxi: Very literally in this case. They managed to pull ahead of both teams upon landing in Ottawa. However their taxi driver got lost on the way to the Fleet Street Pumping House, leaving them in last place. Despite making up time they were unable to catch up with the other 2 until arriving at the National Gallery of Canada
