* AntiAir: FlunkyBoss: Summons Cosmic Lanterns to provide melee combat assistance. Overcoming this requires weapons that deal more damage per hit, as weapons with low usetime and low damage will cause Signus to summon more Lanterns.

* LightningBruiser: Travels very fast, teleports a lot, and hits like a truck.

!!Ceaseless Void
An EldritchAbomination taking the form of a mirror-like object held in place by claws and wings of light. Representing melee[=/=]warriors and possibly mages, the Void relies on brute-forcing the player using contact damage, employing bursts of dark energy to do the job for it, while concealing its extreme weakness. The Ceaseless Void has a pitiful 200 health, 400 in harder modes, but has 999,999 defense, meaning that all damage is reduced to one.
It won't physically will also turn invincible when its dark energy is deployed. Must be spawned in the Dungeon.

On death, the Ceaseless Void will drop Dark Plasma, used to create the Cosmic Worm and upgrade the Spectre Staff to the Phantasmal Fury. It will also have the chance to drop the Mirror Blade, which consumes mana to fire projectiles and adds the target's contact damage to its own on direct hits with the sword. In Expert Mode, the Void will also drop the Arcanum of the Void accessory, which has a 25% chance to reflect all incoming projectiles and heal the player for the base damage of said projectile. It may also drop a trophy which holds its claws.
----
* AchillesHeel: The Dark Energy swarms are sensitive to knockback, allowing the player to survive even in the tightest of choke points in the Dungeon with decent weaponry. Another weakness of the Ceaseless Void is weapons with high usetime as they will shorten the transition between phases and may help keep the Dark Energy at bay.
* EldritchAbomination: It's really difficult to figure out what exactly the Ceaseless Void is supposed to be. At best, it's a flying mirror or arcanum with a mind of its own.
* FlunkyBoss: Relies on the melee combat of its Dark Energy minions to attack, but will not hesitate to
try to ram and freeze you unless you with its own attacks.
* FreezeRay: Can fire a laser at the player while they're swatting away the Dark Energy swarms. This is how the player ends up on the receiving end of the Cosmic Freeze debuff, normally reserved for the Cosmic Discharge legendary.
* GlassCannon: Even with 999,999 defense, 200 HP is still quite pathetic at the time when the player should face it. It circumvents this by turning invincible whenever a new horde of Dark Energy is summoned.

!!Storm Weaver
Essentially a Devourer of Gods-lite, the Storm Weaver is a flying worm encased in a biomechanical shell. It represents rangers, gunning the player down with probes and hanging up high in the sky with immense contact damage, requiring guns and magic to attack it. Must be spawned in space.

On the first phase, the Storm Weaver uses the Crawltipede AI and can only be attacked at the tail. Once it is "defeated," it will respawn without its shell and become more aggressive and stronger. Defeating the Storm Weaver drops the Armored Shell, used to create the Cosmic Worm and upgrade the Shadowbeam Staff to the Shadowbolt Staff. A trophy can also drop which holds what appears to be the Storm Weaver's tail in its shell.
----
* AttackItsWeakPoint: Its tail in the first phase.
* FlunkyBoss: Releases Statis Probes to gun the player down as it hangs in the sky.
* TurnsRed: "Defeating" it once causes it to lose its shell, respawn, and become far more aggressive.

A giant angler fish that has a lure in the shape of a mermaid. She is intended to be fought after Plantera and before the Golem, but can theoretically be fought at any point in the game.
----
* ArtisticLicenseBiology: According to its lore, once it became too big to move it willingly cut itself in half to increase mobility. How it didn't bleed out is anyone's guess.
* AttackItsWeakPoint: The Leviathan's body is immune to all damage; you have to kill the lure to kill the boss.

* RegeneratingShieldsStaticHealth: The lure initially has an icy shield that must be broken to damage it; it can regain the shield if enough time passes.
* StationaryBoss: Downplayed, as it will still chase after you if you move horizontally, but it doesn't move nearly as much as other bosses.

A demonic elemental found in the mod-exclusive Calamity Biome. It is intended to be fought after the Destroyer and before the other two Mechanical Bosses.

* Catch22: An unintentional one was created when it was introduced. It drops an accessory called Abbadon, which grants immunity to the Brimstone Flames debuff and makes the fight against Calamitas far easier. [[caption-width-right:350:Alaskan Bull Worm, eat your heart out.]]

Once a mighty ocean worm that destroyed the Ocean Kingdom, its home has been dried up by Calamitas and it has been forced to become a desert worm. It's the first Calamity-exclusive boss available when you start the game, and is meant to be fought after the Slime King and before the Eye of Cthulhu.
----
* EarlyBirdBoss: As a worm enemy, it's very hard to dodge its attacks unless you have some sort of vertical mobility or dash. The earliest you can get an accessory that lets you dash is after beating the Eye of Cthulhu, the very next boss, and in the early-game very few items that enhance your vertical mobility are readily available.
* HowTheMightyhaveFallen: This thing went from being a force capable of wiping out an entire kingdom to a dried-up, early-game boss.
* SandWorm: That used to be a water worm, no less.
* WorfHadTheFlu: Pretty much why it's fought so early: its home has been dried up, and it's been weakened by living in an environment with little water.

A giant crab made of mushroom mycelia that spawns naturally in Glowing Mushroom biomes, or can be spawned by the player. It is intended to be fought before the Eater of Worlds/the Brain of Cthulhu, but after the Eye of Cthulhu.
----
* GentleGiant: Zigzagged. While it will fight back if you hurt it, it doesn't go out of its way to fight you, and if you kill it once you get an item that makes it completely passive when equipped.
* FlunkyBoss: While Crabulon is capable of directly fighting you, most of the challenge in its fight comes from the fact that it fires out huge clumps of Mush Bombs that descend across the screen and deal massive damage when they hit the player.

----

* StationaryBoss: During its first phase, it is completely immobile, and has to rely on swarms of Mook mooks to defend itself.

----
* BackFromTheDead: The Perforator Hive resembles a floating chunk of the Brain of Cthulhu. Considering that the Perforators used to be parasites within the Brain of Cthulhu before it died...
* GameplayAndStoryIntegration: The lore for the Perforators states that they were parasites within the Brain of Cthulhu before it was killed. Sure enough, their hive resembles half of the Brain of Cthulhu flipped on its side.
* FlunkyBoss: After the Perforator Hive takes enough damage, it spawns one of the Perforators proper; the Hive (the main boss) can only be killed after killing all three worms.

The god of all slimes, flanked by the Ebonian and Crimulan Slime GodsThe Slime God proper is the core in the center. It is the final Pre-Hardmode boss in the mod, and is intended to be fought after Skeletron and before the Wall of Flesh.
----
* FallenHero: Bizarrely enough, the Slime God used to be the original ruler of Slimes and one of Yharim's strongest opponents. Unfortunately, Yharim eventually brainwashed his son (the Slime King), overthrew him, and forced the slimes to follow him instead of the Slime God. This caused the Slime God to descend into madness, drawing upon the powers of the Crimson and Corruption to ascend to Godhood.
*GravityScrew: Getting hit by the Slime God proper will inflict the Distorted debuff, causing you to float in midair and making it harder to dodge the Slime Gods' attacks.
* StandardStatusEffects: The lesser Slime Gods inflict these, with the Ebonian Slime God inflicting Silenced, the Crimulan Slime God inflicting the Mana Sickness (Cursed), and both inflicting Brimstone Flames (Poison/Plague/Bleeding). The Slime God proper inflicts some more... unorthodox conditions, however.
* TurnsRed: After the two lesser Slime Gods are killed, the Slime God proper completely changes his attack patterns, attempting to ram you and launching a barrage of energy blasts.
