* HerHeartWillGoOn: Non-romantic example. [[spoiler:In the end, there's no other choice but to kill her brother, in order to free him. She has a hard time accepting this, but she does.]]

* ImprobableWeaponUser: A parasol, of all things.
** Justified in a skit after obtaining her map action. Because Giant's Strength puts a strain on her after using it, she isn't able to use a weapon heavier than her parasol, so she has to make do with what she can use. It's also not improbable by Seraph standards, see Mikleo's folder for details.

* NotBloodSiblings: In a non-romantic sense. In Berseria, Eizen explains to the party about how malakhim do not have blood family. Instead, they were born from the Earthpulse or reincarnated from humans. Eizen and Edna were born from the same Earthpulse along with other malakhim/seraphim, but they had a special connection that lead them to becoming siblings.
* ParasolOfPain: Her weapon of choice is an umbrella.

* Really700YearsOld: She's at least as old as Lailah, despite looking about the same age as 15-year-old [[VideoGame/TalesOfVesperia Rita Mordio]] (with a somewhat similar personality too). ''VideoGame/TalesOfBerseria'' implies that she's [[spoiler: over a thousand years old as she is mentioned a few times by Eizen and makes a [[TheCameo cameo]] as well.]]

* ObstructiveCodeOfConduct: In exchange for being able to purify Hellions, Lailah cannot discuss anything relating to certain subjects. Unfortunately, this causes a lot of communication issues and is well aware of it.

* TheReveal: [[spoiler: Maotelus is corrupted and linked to Heldalf, meaning that killing Heldalf releases a monster so powerful it would destory the world.]]

* JustAKid: Edna and Zaveid constantly call him a kid. Like for Sorey, it's a bit of a TearJerker when you think about what he has to go trough at such a young age.

* DeadpanSnarker: One of the biggest, particularly towards Sorey and his idealism, Lailah's CloudCuckoolander tendencies when she can't tell the others something and the rest of the party's eccentricities.

* CloudCuckoolander: Her behaviour is seen as very strange, to say the least. The childish excitement she sometimes displays over the simplest things makes her look more immature than she is. In fact, she is so strange, that Edna can't even bully her like she does everyone else, since it just flies over Lailah's head. A good porition of this is is deliberate though, as Lailah's pact prevents her from speaking about certain things.

* HiddenDepths: Not only does she know a lot about the game's backstory, the reason why she goes full CloudCuckoolander about some things is because [[spoiler:in exchange for providing the power of purification to a Shepherd, she promised Zenrus to not speak about what happened before the Age of Chaos began. It becomes very important later in the story.]]

* DeadpanSnarker: The second biggest snarker after Edna, primarily towards Lailah's CloudCuckoolander tendencies, Edna's LittleMissSnarker habits and Mikleo and Sorey's geeking out.

* BitchInSheepsClothing: [[spoiler: She says she's a good guy, but she's anything but. She reveals herself to be a cunning hellion who has raised Alisha as a knight just to control her every move and stir more malevolence in a war in the name of the Lord of Calamity. Not to mention, she wants to watch the world burn down.]]

* OutsideContextProblem: Lunarre when you get right down to it has no involvement in the war between Rolance and Hyland, the Shepherds journey apart from being a Hellion, and the the groups general progression.

* {{Adorkable}}: Put him next to anything relating to ruins or ancient history and watch the fireworks fly.

''[[YouHaveBeenWarned BEWARE OF UNCOVERED TROPE SPOILERS.]]''. Spoilers from the anime and ''VideoGame/TalesOfBerseria'' are abound as well.

* SubvertedTrope: Dezel is a very shady character when the party first encounters him, and when he joins the group, Sorey is constantly advised by the other Seraph to keep a close eye on him. Logic based off of previous ''Tales'' games state that because of his enigmatic status as a party member and his hidden agendas, Dezel would be the most likely to betray you, and while it's debatable that he does [[spoiler: before his death]] in pursuit of his [[{{Revenge}} goal]], he never truly betrays the party.

* AllMenArePerverts: Several of his victory quotes involve him flirting with the girls in the party, and he even encourages Sorey to peak on the girls while they're [[BathingBeauty in the hot spring]].

* BoisterousBruiser: This man can fight Armatized Shepards while [[LargeHam pulling out the hog]].

* BadassGrandpa: He's very old in appearance, and from what other seraphim say, he's probably also very old physically. He was also worshipped as a thunder god and fended off Heldalf to save the village [[spoiler: even if he never made it out alive. In ''Berseria'', he's mentioned by Zui Fuu, who implies he was one of the seraphim who came from the Heavenly Realm in the hopes of coexisting with humans.]]

* BadassGrandpa: He's very old in appearance, and from what other seraphim say, he's probably also very old physically. He was also worshipped as a thunder god and fended off Heldalf to save the village [[spoiler: even if he never made it out alive]].

* ActionGirl: Moreso then any of the other females in the party.

* ElementalPowers: On top of her illusions, she's able to utilize magic from a wide array of different elements, rather then being a specialist like the other Seraphim.

A Wind Seraph who is continuously searching for Hellion to hunt. He's known to make wise cracks and hit on women, but can turn deadly when the situation demands it. In battle he uses wind-based seraphic artes and a pendulum like Dezel. His true name is Filk Zedaya, which means [[IGaveMyWord "Zaveid the Oathkeeper."]]

* ShipTease: The game throws subtle hints she might have feelings for Sorey. In her DLC though there's massive hints towards Rose.

** [[spoiler: As ''VideoGame/TalesOfBerseria'' reveales, Maotelus was actually once a Malak named Laphicet.]]

** He's also got some similarities to the various incarnations of [[VideoGame/TheLegendofZelda Link]]. He grew up as the only human in a village of spirits (Ocarina of Time), he's the successor to a line of heroes, it's been a while since the last hero showed up (Wind Waker), and he has a mystical sword with a spirt tied to it (Skyward Sword).

* IGaveMyWord: Is ''very'' serious on keeping whatever promises he has made over the centuries. Heck, it's even in his true name. Examples include making up to Sorey and the gang after [[spoiler: he joins the group]] and [[spoiler: killing Edna's brother Eisen if he ever became a dragon because he asked him too]].

* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: The girly girl to Rose's tomboy in her DLC scenario.

* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: The tomboy to Alisha's girly girl in Alisha's [=DLC=] scenario.
