Piranha Plants are (literal) garden-variety {{Mooks}} in the ''Super Mario Bros.'' series and come in several forms, most of which pop out of pipes and attempt to take a bite out of, or breathe fire at, Mario and his friends. Originally a stage hazard in the Mushroom Kingdom stage in ''[=SSB64=]'', this Piranha Plant was PromotedToPlayable in ''Ultimate'' as the game's first DLC fighter, and was given out for free to those who bought the game and registered it before the end of January 2019.
