* ColorMotifs: Purple. His costume has a a lot of purple, and he creates purple wind.

* FormerBigot: After getting called out for his racism, especially since it drove Richie to run away and end up in serious danger, Sean warms up to Virgil and even drives him and Richie to a comic convention. He's later shown attending the memorial service for Virgil's mother and an interfaith service at the church the Hawkins go to.

* NoSell: Can actually take Static's electrical attacks with no ill will to himself making it difficult to battle him. It took Dule's football team along with Dule himself, Gear, and Static working together to finally stop him.

* FormerChildStar: Used to have an in-universe TV show called "Johnny on the Spot" when he was younger, but it was canceled. He apparently never sought to just continue his career and grew bitter into his teenage years.
* {{Greed}}: He commits robberies so he can go back to enjoying the wealthy lifestyle he has when he was a TV star.

* BlowYouAway: His main power which allows him to control wind and create tornadoes. He was actually one of the few difficult foes for Static since Slipstream's power could short out his electricity.
* BoisterousWeakling: He was this before he got his powers. He acted tough, but was really out-of-shape. One of the kids he picked on [[LampshadedTrope lampshades]] this, calling Slipstream a big bag of wind. However, he gets tougher after discovering the Big Bang gave him the power to control wind.

* {{Expy}}: Of ''[[WesternAnimation/FatAlbertAndTheCosbyKids Fat Albert]]''. Both of them are overweight, African-American teenage boys, and they have similar voices. Though Albert is kind-hearted, while Slipstream is a greedy supervillain.

* WickedStepfather: Another reason she ran away was thanks to one of these that ended up abandoning her literally right before her mom died.

* PowerCopying: If he changes into a person with powers, it allowed him to take on their powers as well.

* LightIsNotGold: He's a supervillain whose costume is made up entirely of bright colors.

* VillainousGlutton: He is often obsessed with eating food.

A overweight teenage bully known as Heavy-C. He finds out one day he can control wind and, like most Bang Babies, uses them for selfish means.

* DoNotCallMePaul: He hates being called "Ivan".

* FreudianExcuse: During her MotiveRant in her first episode, it's revealed that she's never had any friends and was constantly ignored as a kid, which is why she's so determined to be popular and appreciated. All things considered, though, it was probably her horrible attitude that kept her friendless in the first place.

* BoisterousWeakling: He was this before he got his powers. He acted tough, but was really out-of-shape. One of the kids he picked on [[LampshadedTrope lampshades]] this, calling Slipstream a big bad of wind. However, he gets tougher after discovering the Big Bang gave him the power to control wind.
* TheBully: Was one before he even got his powers, going up to other kids in restaurants, [[EnemyEatsYourLunch shoving them aside, and taking their food.]]
* TheCameo: He makes an appearance in "Power Outage" among most of the others trying to regain their powers.

* VillainousGlutton: He loves to eat and a lot of his heists involved robbing food joints.

* {{Expy}}: Of Fat Albert. Both of them are overweight, African-American teenage boys, and they have similar voices.

* RummageSaleReject: One of the few villains to realistically don a costume that looks like he just grabbed whatever he could and slapped it together, his outfit consisting of a wool rug for a cape, a visor and some hub caps for armor that he put a design on the front of.
* ShoutOut: His main voice along with his bulky design are one to ''[[WesternAnimation/FatAlbertAndTheCosbyKids Fat Albert]]''.

* {{Jerkass}}: Another in a long line of jerks who went to Virgil's high school. He nearly starts a fight with Virgil just because he bumped into him, despite Virgil apologizing. He only backs off when he sees a teacher nearby glaring daggers at him. Likewise, he blows off his friend Frankie and calls him a loser after the gas made him tall and muscular.

A nerdy boy who, like Gear, was granted super intelligence.

A teenager with a genius intellect but a huge ego to boot. He creates a gauntlet that allows him to enter into Hypertime which slows down time around him but allows him and anything he chooses to move at normal speed.

* AbhorrentAdmirer: He has a rather unhealthy interest in Daisy Watkins, which made her uncomfortable even before he was revealed to be a supervillain.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: {{Deconstruction}}. Eddie Felson met Daisy Watkins at science summer camp. He developed a crush on her because she was the only person at the camp that was kind to him. However, his crush on her becomes an unhealthy obsession, with him stalking her and stealing luxury items to give to her. What made it worse was it was implied from Daisy's reaction to seeing him again and from the way she talked about him is that she did not like him even as a friend and whatever kindness she ever showed him was out of pity.
* {{Blackmail}}: He manages to find out Static and Gear's identities and threatens to go public with him if they don't stop coming after him. Luckily the events of the episode prevent him from spilling it.
* BulletTime: Or as he calls it, Hyper Time. His Time Gauntlet lets him move this fast, and accelerate other people to the same speed.

* DeathBySecretIdentity: Rather defeat in his case; he finds out Virgil and Richie's identities quite easily (pulling off Richie's helmet and just deducing Virgil being Static since the two hang out a lot). But his defeat had him trapped in slow motion. So even if he could reveal it, his slowed-down speech would make that impossible.

* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Really should've heeded Static's warning not to touch his belt since it works on the same principle as his gauntlet. By doing so, it causes the two frequencies that were keeping the two in Hypertime to clash and Eddie got the full brunt of it. The end result malfunctioned his gauntlet and caused him now to move in slow motion.

* InvincibleVillain: Pretty much. Static and Gear can't hit him since he can move too fast while in Hypertime and easily defeat them before they know what's happening. Even when Gear makes a belt from the same technology for Static to fight him in Hypertime, it's a one time use and only allows Static to enter Hypertime while Eddie can still use his speed while in Hypertime. It's only due to Eddie touching Static's belt that thwarts him because it shorts out Eddie's gauntlet and the feedback traps Eddie in slow motion.

* MeaningfulName: He initially lives up to the name Speedwarp, though this later on turns out to no longer be the case after he grabs the belt from Static.
* MutuallyUnequalRelation: {{Implied|Trope}}. Eddie Felson met Daisy Watkins at science summer camp. She was the only person at the camp that was kind to him, so he developed a crush on her, which turned into an unhealthy obsession, with him stalking her and stealing luxury items to give to her. However, Daisy's reaction to meeting him again calls into question whether she was ever kind. While she does not hate him, Daisy was not happy to see Eddie again, and unhappy when she mentions she thinks she's seeing him again because he has a crush on her. And this was before she knew he was stalking her and stealing items to give to her. It should be noted that when Eddie revealed his powers to Daisy and mentions that she was the only one in camp that was kind to him, she did not deny that. However, it's possible she was only nice to him out of pity. Either way, it shows that Daisy does not truly like Eddie, and was glad he was defeated and out of her life for good.
* RedBaron: "Weird Eddie" to Virgil, Richie, and Daisy.

* SuperSpeed: One of the two features of the gauntlet allows him to move at super-speed.
* TimeStandsStill: One of the two features of gauntlet allows him to go into Hypertime which causes pretty much everything to slow down.

* ChestInsignia: His costume has one: a dark purple circle with a stylized, light purple S that resembles a lightning bolt.
* ColorMotifs: Purple. His costume has a purple shirt, a purple ChestInsignia, and a purple cape, and he creates purple wind.

* PersonalityPowers: He was a loud-mouthed windbag who got wind powers.

* RummageSaleReject: One of the few Bang Babies to don a costume that looks like he just grabbed whatever he could and slapped it together, his outfit consisting of a wool rug for a cape, a visor and some hub caps for armor that he put a design on the front of.

* VillainousGlutton: He loves to eat and a lot of his heists usually involved robbing food joints.

* SuperSpeed: Run's main power which allows him to move fast.

* TheDogBitesBack: After putting up with Byron's bullying, she eventually has enough of robbing people and aids Static in stopping him.

* FromNobodyToNightmare: Maureen was a homeless, mentally ill teenager who virtually everyone ignored... and then she was hit with gas during the Big Bang, and became one of the most powerful and dangerous metahumans Dakota had ever seen. It's [[SubvertedTrope subverted]] in that Permafrost doesn't ''want'' to be a villain and isn't, for the most part, intentionally causing harm; she's just extremely unbalanced and lashes out at the world with abilities that she can't control.

A student at Virgil's high school and one of the numerous bullies though a normal one. He especially loved picking on one, Jimmy Osgood.

* {{Jerkass}}: Just picks on Jimmy for no reason just because. Even when Frieda told him to knock it off, he didn't listen and it almost cost him his life.
* KnightOfCerebus: Despite just being a regular teenager without superpowers, he stands out as the antagonist of one of the show's darkest episodes.

* LowerClassLout: His thuggish and greasy-looking appearance and being TheBully makes him come off as one.

A Bang Baby with the ability to turn herself into a hulking monster. She had hoped to use the ability to frame her ex-boyfriend, Marcus, after he broke up with her.

* AnythingYouCanDoICanDoBetter: Initially, as Static's first few encounters with him had Starburst handily defeat Static in a match of power.

A former child TV star named Johnny Morrow, his show was canceled and he grew bitter as a result. When the Big Bang happened he was affected and gained the powers of duplication, allowing him to make clones of himself as well as Static when his powers interacted with Static's electricity.

* AttentionWhore: Implied to be the case with him and why he's angry at his show's cancellation. He ends up defeated when he sees himself on a TV monitor, distracting him long enough for Static to defeat him.

* DudeWheresMyRespect: Since he used to be a TV star, he gets irritated when people don't know his name.

* FromRichesToRags: He used to be rich and famous, but lost everything after his show got canceled. He's really bitter about it.

A bullying teenager known as Heavy-C. He finds out one day he can control wind and, like most Bang Babies, uses them for selfish means.

* TheBully: Was one before he even got his powers. Going up to others in restaurants, [[EnemyEatsYourLunch shoving them aside and taking their food.]]

* RummageSaleReject: One of the few Bang Babies to don a costume and looks like he just grabbed whatever he could and slapped it together, his outfit consisting of a wool rug for a cape, a visor and some hub caps for armor that he put a design on the front of.

* AttentionWhore: Implied to be the case with him and why he's angry at his show's cancellation. He ends up defeated when he sees himself on a TV monitor, distracting him long enough for Static to punch the Static clone into him, painfully re-merging his power back into Johnny and knocking him out.
* DeathBySecretIdentity: Subverted. While he managed to make a clone of Static, taking off the mask just had the area around the eyes as TV static, keeping him from knowing Static's identity. Seems he could only duplicate what he sees, not the full initial product.

* MesACrowd: His main power, he can make and control clones of himself.

* BreakoutCharacter: He was meant to be a one-off villain like he was in the comics, he was so sympathetic that he's allowed to reform and becomes a recurring ally to Static. His popularity on the show allowed this incarnation of Rubberband Man to be [[CanonImmigrant transplanted into the comics]] in ''Static: Shadows of Dakota''.

* WellDoneSonGuy: He only ever wanted his dad to respect him.

* {{Irony}}: Run is quite fat.

* ILied: During their final heist of the episode, he promised Miranda he wouldn't hurt anyone in his robbery. Naturally he doesn't hold to that and when called out for it, [[NeverMyFault he claims that it's the other guy's fault for not doing as he asked]].

* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: When he realizes what the vials were, he willingly inhaled some of the gas hoping to get a superpower like Francis. But, as his friend Frankie pointed out, a lot of people who get exposed to the gas turn into "freaks." Unfortunately for Royce, he lost the SuperpowerLottery and the gas mutated him into a disfigured, hulking, purple-skinned brute who also seemed to be mindless.

* {{Jerkass}}: Another in a long line of jerks who went to Virgil's high school. He nearly starts a fight with Virgil just because he bumped into him despite Virgil apologizing. * FreudianExcuse: He was an assistant to Bernie Rast and had hoped the intern job would get his foot in the door of the entertainment industry. But Bernie always kept belittling him, never even calling him by his real name (Bradley) and never even read the screenplay he had given him, forcing Brandon to turn to crime just to get the funds to produce his movie.

* BullyMagnet: In high school, anlmost everyone picked on him, [[NerdyBully even the other nerds]].

* KarmaHoudini: Got away scot-free in his first appearance despite being the indirect cause of the villain in his debut episode and even got the show he wanted (though Static declines to do any more episode appearances after that). His third appearance at least finally doles him some when Candide fired him after hearing Virgil, Richie, and Daisy's experience in working with him, plus his failure to mention that Dakota had Metahumans running around when Hotstreak and Aquamaria raid her fan signing event.

* IWasQuiteALooker: Soul Power in the '60s was quite a handsome looking dude back then.

* SparedByTheAdaptation: He is loosely based on the Blood Syndicate's original leader Tech-9, who was killed off in the comic's fourth issue and was subsequently impersonated by Masquerade.

* SmallNameBigEgo: Has a massive ego on him and not afraid to let everyone know it.

* SuperSpeed: One of the two features of the gauntlet allows him to move at super-speed while in Hypertime.

* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: After realizing how horribly he treated his son, he puts aside even his vendetta toward Static to focus on finding a way to return his son to normal.
* {{Expy}}: Of Norman Osborn. Both are powerful businessmen who are ruthless and corrupt as well as having a not so good relationship with their sons.

* HeelFaceTurn[=/=]HazyFeelTurn After Static helps revive his son, Alva permanently drops his vendetta with Static. Despite that his [[Main/{{Jerkass}}general personality]] hasn't change much so it's hard to gage if he's truly reformed or not.

* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: When his son, in a effort to gain his approval, is [[TakenForGranite turned into a statue]], he feels ashamed about his poor treatment towards him pushed him too far and inadvertently caused it.

* BigBrotherWorship: While a downplayed version, all Dwayne really wanted was to spend time with his step-brother Aron, wanting them to actually be brothers, but Aron just saw him as a nuisance. This all goes away when he finds out Aron has just been using him.

* HeelFaceTurn: He wasn't really evil but did commit a few crimes under Aron's prompting. After Static shows that Aron doesn't care for him, he stops listening to Aron and stops the crimes altogether.
* ImaginationBasedSuperpower[=/=]ThePowerOfCreation: His powers allow him to make virtually anything he wishes: Food, toys, characters, ''anything''.

* NotEvilJustMisunderstood: He's just a young kid wanting to hang out with his aloof step-sibling. But Aron's actions are less than ideal and eventually, with some help from Static, Dwayne realizes this and stops listening to him.
* SuperpowerLottery: Kid really was one of the luckier Bang Babies within the show as his powers nearly did defeat Static until he realized Aron was manipulating him. In more malicious hands, this would make him unstoppable. Thankfully Dwayne was a good egg and didn't want to hurt anyone.

* BigBrotherBully: Constantly keeps referring to Dwayne as his ''step''-sibling and, before finding out his had powers, wanted nothing to do with him. Even after discovering his powers, he just puts up with him for his own ends and threatens Dwayne if he starts questioning him.

* EstablishingCharacterMoment: Upon seeing Aron has returned from Juvie Hall, Virgil decides to welcome him back. Aron's response is to coldly shut his locker without acknowledging Virgil. If nothing, it does tell the audience he's a rather cold and anti-social character.

* NonActionGuy: No powers, just a regular human. Once Static convinced Dwayne not to listen to him, he tried feebly to punch Static only to instantly be zapped and pinned to a wall for the police to collect.
* PerpetualFrowner: Always shown with a scowl on his face and rarely smiles.

* {{Foil}}: To Virgil Hawkins. Both are victims of bullying and guns are involved in their lives. However, whereas Virgil [[DoesNotLikeGuns hates guns]] due to his mother getting killed by one, didn't hesitate to throw one given to him to kill F-Stop (Hotstreak) away, and deals with said aggressor for a just cause upon becoming Static, Jimmy thinks that guns are cool and uses his father's gun in an attempt to kill Nick after he and his friends shoved him in a locker, only to accidentally shoot Richie and be sent to juvie.
