At some point in the past, the Creator assembled a group of four Trophies to act on its behalf: to ensure compliance, each Trophy was imbued with a "self-destruct" of sorts--if any of the mercenaries were to defy orders, the Creator's essence inside of them would be destroyed, effectively destroying the Trophy as well. Currently, three objectives of theirs are known: destroying Ridley, capturing Bowser so the Creator could dismantle him personally, and locating Rayquaza.

* BountyHunter
* BrokenPedestal: Becomes this to both Peach and Wario after her mission to capture Bowser is revealed to the public. Beforehand, Peach had looked up to Samus as an idol and role model of hers, whereas Wario had his one-sided crush on her.
* ChargedAttack: Her PlasmaCannon.
* DyingDeclarationOfLove: Downplayed. [[spoiler: While she doesn't say it, Samus's last thoughts before she's swallowed whole by Ridley are of Wario's smiling face.]]
* LustObject: For Wario.
* MsFanservice: The main reason why Wario lusts after her. This fact repulses her in the ''Miiverse'' short, where she is furious that people see her only as a sex symbol.
* MyMasterRightOrWrong: Regardless of what others say about her mission to capture Bowser, she knows that the Creator's word is absolute, and refuses to back down.
* PlasmaCannon: Uses this to try and subdue Bowser. [[spoiler: [[WentHorriblyWrong It didn't work.]]]]
* SamusIsAGirl: Uttered word for word by Bowser in Racconto File 12. Justified, considering Samus was never seen outside of her armor in Melee.
* SendInTheClones: Dedede has several "Zero Suits," floozies who are modeled after Samus. As to ''how'' he cloned her and why they're bustier than the original... [[UnfortunateImplications Well, that's better left a mystery.]] Peach implies that Samus is aware of their existence, and hates looking at them.
* ShockAndAwe: Uses her paralyzer to take care of Wario whenever he stalks her.
* [[spoiler:SwallowedWhole:]] [[spoiler:Meta Ridley eats her in a single bite in the premiere of Part 3.]]

::'''Solid Snake'''
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/snakeclearnew.png]]

----> ''I won't shed a tear when I shoot you both.''

A stone-cold mercenary, tasked with capturing Bowser by the Creator.
----
* AntiHero: Helps Bowser escape from Ganondorf's lair, only to try and capture him (albeit reluctantly) some time later.
* {{BFG}}: His GrenadeLauncher.
* GutturalGrowler: Was this up until Episode 18, where his voice actor was replaced.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Played with. Snake doesn't actually want to take Bowser by force, hoping that there's another way to make things right. Unfortunately, he is unable to find the "legend" (later revealed to be [[spoiler: Rayquaza]]) in time, forcing him to follow the Creator's orders to the letter.
* MadeOfIron: Despite [[spoiler: being stabbed InTheBack by Phantom Ganon]], he's still alive. Though that might have to do with the fact that he and the others are trophies with different kinds of bodies and probably no normal organs, but hey, still cool.
* PetTheDog: Snake might have orders to capture Bowser on behalf of the Creator, but he still treats the guy nicely before the Norfair incident. He willingly assists Zelda in rescuing him from Ganondorf in Episode 8, and informs him that his team is currently fighting Donkey Kong at Jungle Japes. There's also the fact that he tried to avoid going through with the Creator's orders by trying to locate [[spoiler: Rayquaza]] instead.
* SendInTheClones: The Metal Gears, who are Dedede's personal army of guards. Like Samus and the Zero Suits, it's unknown how Snake was cloned.
* SoleSurvivor: [[spoiler: With Samus dead, and Zelda and Wolf willingly leaving the group for their own reasons, Snake is the only active member of the Creator's mercenaries as of Episode 21]].
* StickyBomb: Part of his arsenal.
* WalkingArmory: Has a GrenadeLauncher and several grenades at his disposal.

::'''Wolf [=O'Donnell=]'''
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wolfclearnew.png]]

----> ''I believe that is game, set, match, dear Bowser.''

A ruthless mercenary, tasked by the Creator to capture Bowser. [[spoiler: That is, until Episode 21, where he decides to abandon the group he was part of to join Team Ganon.]]
----
* AffablyEvil: While not exactly a villain, he does treat his enemies with some sense of respect. He even states that if Wario weren't an enemy, he'd take him out drinking and try to hook him up with Samus.
* EarlyBirdCameo: In the Episode 2 remake, he is seen battling Peach in an exhibition match. This is several episodes before his role in the series is revealed, and an entire season before he even plays a prominent role.
* EvilBrit: Has a slight British accent.
* FaceHeelTurn: [[spoiler: While Wolf was never really a good guy in the first place, he firmly solidifies himself as a true villain by officially joining Ganondorf in Episode 21, after Ganon helps untether Wolf from the Creator's influence. Since Lucario previously underwent a HeelFaceTurn after rejecting Mewtwo, Wolf is signed on as the new third member of Team Ganon.]]
* TheGambler: Enjoys games of chance, including an AbsurdlyHighStakesGame involving setting off Smart Bombs.
* HoYay: With ''Wario'' of all people. In Episode 10, Wolf shows an interest in the fat man's Determinator status, and even expresses interest in sharing a drink with him if the situation they were currently in was different.
* NaturalWeapon: His claws.
* OnlyInItForTheMoney: Unlike Snake and Samus, who genuinely believed in the Creator's goals, Wolf only joined the group in order to get handsomely paid. Eventually, this leads to [[spoiler: Wolf asking Ganondorf to help him sever ties with the group by removing the "bomb" within him that the Creator implanted in case of disobedience.]]
* TheRival: Still appears to be this to Fox and Falco. He also appears to see himself as one towards Wario.
* SmokeOut: Uses Smoke Balls to cover an escape.
* TankGoodness: He helps Samus and her team break into where Ganondorf is containing Ridley via the Wolfen.

::'''Zelda'''
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zeldaclearnew.png]]

----> ''The oppressive, despotic soldiers challenging the free, autonomous sovereignty that surrounds them.''

A skilled magician, and well-versed poet. She is tasked with capturing Bowser, but is apprehensive about doing so.
----
* AdaptationalWimp: Most incarnations of Zelda have their own magical abilities. In this series, it's heavily implied that a majority of Zelda's powers come from Midna, who is demonstrated to have quite a powerful chokehold over her.
* BestFriend: To Peach.
* CulturedWarrior: An accomplished poet. She enjoys writing poetry with Meta Knight.
* GrandTheftMe: Becomes on the receiving end of this by Midna come Episode 19.
* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: Although Zelda became part of a mercenary group to defeat Bowser and take him to the Creator, she feels heavily conflicted in doing so. She eventually defects from the group after going rogue one too many times, but by this time, her friendship with Peach is drastically shaken. And that's not even getting into her relationship with Midna...
* LightEmUp: Her Light Arrows.
* MagicalGirl
* NotSoAboveItAll: For all of her collectiveness and relaxed personality, Zelda gets quite miffed at Dedede considering her a "boring" choice for a woman in Episode 8. Although she compliments Dedede on his motivational talk to Peach, she makes sure he gets his comeuppance by furiously beating the crap out of him shortly afterward.
* {{Ninja}}: As Sheik.
* PsychicPowers: Displays some levels of telepathy, and can receive visions. [[spoiler: It turns out that Midna gave them to her.]]
* RegretfulTraitor: Is conflicted about the mission to capture Bowser: not only does it strain her relationship with Peach, but also leads the others to question her loyalty.
* SmokeOut: As Sheik, she uses this on occasion.
* UnwittingPawn: [[spoiler: It's revealed in Episode 16 that Zelda is this towards Midna, who gave her the powers that she has, and has a sinister goal that involves getting Bowser and Peach together.]]
