* AnAxeToGrind: Carries an axe or two as a backup weapon and on at least one occasion ([[spoiler:the Killians’ murder]]) he dual-wields them. One axe is destroyed when the Horseman tries to throw in into the church and it melts.

* HeelFaceDoorSlam: His guilt eventually becomes too much to bear, but [[spoiler:Steenwyck bashes his head in with a cross when he tries to confess the conspiracy to Baltus]].

* NobleDemon: Even when he was alive, he clearly had a code of ethics. Though he joined the war effort solely because he liked to kill, it's suggested that he doesn't kill anyone without provocation, especially children.
