!!!Chanel Oberlin / Chanel #1
[[quoteright:300:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sq_38_emma_roberts_ad_singles_2665_pw19.jpg]]
->'''Played By:''' Creator/EmmaRoberts

The president and self-styled queen of Kappa Kappa Tau.
----
* AbusiveParents: As revealed in "Mommie Dearest" her mother is a terrible woman, who raised Chanel to be the cold, cruel woman she is today. She even refused to let her go to her high school graduation, cause she had a zit and claimed that it would be an embarrassment to the family.
* AccidentalMurder: She claims she didn't know that the fryer was on when she pushed Mrs Bean's face into it. Other characters doubt this.
* ActionGirl: When the Red Devil makes his move on her [[MirrorScare from behind]], she elbows him in the abdomen and face before whacking him with a ''dress drawer''. In "Seven Minutes In Hell", she knocks him unconscious in her effort to save Zayday.
* AlphaBitch: Rich, beautiful, entitled, and a raging bitch of epic proportions, she rules KKT with a pink-gloved iron fist.
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: Though not in a position that should require it, Chanel is the strongest, toughest, meanest and most capable of all the Kappa's. Something the other Chanels are well aware of, and part of the reason they are all so terrified of her.
* BrainlessBeauty: She is very hot but deeply stupid, showing a profound lack of understanding of how the real world works.
** She tries to file an injunction on Dean Munsch [[FrivolousLawsuit for closing the campus on Halloween]]. Her father tells her that they don't have enough time to file one, and that Chanel clearly doesn't know what an injunction is if she's asking for one in this situation.
* TheBrute: A non-traditional example. Sometimes, she is certain the most physical character in the series, except the Red Devil.
* TheBully: To anyone she can get away with acting like this towards.
* CharacterDevelopment: A weird example, as she tries hard to hide the fact that she's changed at all. While still far from being a good person, by the end of the first season she has put herself in danger multiple times to protect the other Kappas, stood up to her boyfriend's family for Hester's sake, and generally started to treat the other girls as sisters, albeit in an abusive-but-protective older sibling kind of way. During Chanel's OrderedApology, she admits that Grace's niceness has made her realize what a bitch she's been.
* ChildHater:
-->'''Chanel''': Halloween is ''the'' most important day of the year. It's the one day on the Gregorian calendar where you're ''allowed'' to go around terrifying children, and not be branded a psychopath.
* CondescendingCompassion: How she treats her Instagram followers. All her positive comments about them are how much she pities them and their lives, at one point calling them "precious donkeys."
* ConspicuousConsumption: She lives a life of ridiculous decadence. She buys $100 candles, then throws them away after lighting them once because they're used.
* ElderAbuse: She funds her Chanel-o-Ween gifts using her comatose grandmother's money.
* EvenEvilHasStandards:
** Although it is during an OrderedApology, she admits to Grace that badmouthing Grace's mother was a pretty horrible thing to do, even by her standards.
** In "Thanksgiving," even ''she'' is appalled by how the Radwells treat Hester.
* {{Expy}}: She is basically a near-reincarnation of [[ActorAllusion her actress' role]] as [[Film/{{Scream 4}} Jill Roberts]], in a WhatIf scenario if either Jill either survived her gunshot wound or undergo KarmaHoudini if her conspiracy plan went well and she attend college under a different alias to start a new life with her newly attained wealth from her fame she strived to get.
* FreudianExcuse: She herself admits that her behavior comes (at least in part) from her boyfriend constantly cheating on her, her only friends being employed by her, and her own parents not even caring enough about her to call her on her birthday. However, she refuses to take any steps to break this cycle or not take it out on others.
** Its likewise implied, that at least some of her behaviour comes from the previous heads of Kappa, bullying and belittling her during the years she's been in the sorority.
** Furthered with the reveal in "Mommie Dearest" about just how horrible her mother was.
* HairTriggerTemper: Scarily so, she can go from cheerful to murderously angry in the blink of an eye.
* HiddenDepths: "Haunted House" stays to suggest that she may not be as stupid as it seems; it's just that her massive ego tends to get in the way. She's still far from smart, though.
** "Pumpkin Patch" shows she's surprisingly knowledgeable in US history.
* HotBlooded: She can be very passionate and easy to anger.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: In episode 11, when the girls are going to investigate a scream, she chooses to grab a water pitcher instead of one of the many knives in the kitchen.
* ItsAllAboutMe: Chanel approaches every situation or problem based on how it will affect her and her future.
* JerkWithAHeartOfJerk: Everyone knows Chanel is an AlphaBitch, but at no point in the first seven episodes has she ever hinted at being a decent person. In fact, she's only gotten more narcissistic and evil as the show has gone on, repeatedly trying to place others in harms way in hopes they die either as a means to protect herself, or to get rid of some minor nuisance. There's nothing redemptive about this girl.
* JerkassRealization: Ironically, being sentenced to an insane asylum made her realize that yes, she really is a sociopathic bitch.
* KarmaHoudini: '''BIG TIME.''' In "Pumpkin Patch", she actually gets arrested for murdering Ms. Bean when Hester, Chanel #5, and a convinced Jennifer sell her out, but she leaves on bail with the assistance of Chanel #3 and Sam. {{Subverted}} come the finale, where Chanel Oberlin gets an extreme dose of LaserGuidedKarma (see more below).
* LackOfEmpathy: To everyone, and she hasn't had a single scene suggesting otherwise. Chanel has rejoiced at the deaths of others multiple times purely because it made her life easier, including her so called "friends."
* LaserGuidedKarma: Hester Ulrich successfully blames Chanel Oberlin and her minions for the killings. The most karmic part being... the jury didn't fall for it. They had a unanimous not guilty verdict..... [[NotHelpingYourCase up until Chanel Oberlin went on a massive tirade against them before they could even ''deliver'' the verdict]], prompting them to change it to guilty out of pure spite. The three Chanels are convicted and sentenced to life in an asylum as punishment.
* LeanAndMean: She's a good example of this, despite her small stature.
* LightisNotGood
* LonelyRichKid: She isn't a very sympathetic example, but it's clear that, underneath it all, she is honestly lonely and miserable.
* MoodSwinger: Prone to this.
* MusclesAreMeaningless: See PintSizedPowerhouse, Chanel is tiny, and thin. But she is impressively strong, more so than any of the other Kappa's.
* TheNapoleon: Chanel is barely 5'2", but she has a ''massive'' ego and a volcanic temper that makes her go off on people at the slightest provocation. This is [[LampshadeHanging lampshaded]] by her immediate predecessor as KKT President in her [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech speech towards her]], when she explicitly compares her to [[UsefulNotes/NapoleonBonaparte Napoleon]].
* TheNicknamer: She can't be bothered to remember most people's names, so she comes up with nicknames for them. And even when she does know someone's name, she often uses nicknames to belittle people.
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: inspired by Rebecca Martinson of the University of Maryland chapter of the Delta Gamma sorority and her [[http://totalfratmove.com/marylands-delta-gamma-chapter-gets-verbally-nuked-by-social-chair/ deranged E-mail]]. Creator/MichaelShannon [[https://youtu.be/dngOH9G4UPw did a dramatic reading of it]].
* NotSoDifferent: When apologizing to Grace for the horrible things she said about her mother she says that they both have horrible mothers in an attempt to say they're similar.
* ObviouslyEvil: She's of the pastel-clad, flawless-looking ice-cold sorority princess variant.
* OnlySaneMan: Played with, Chanel is not that bright, and has little understanding of how the real world works. However she is smarter than that other Chanels, and will often aggressively shoot down their ridiculous suggestions or point out the logical flaws in their plans.
* OrderedApology: Played with. While she had to be blackmailed into apologizing to Grace for insulting her mother, she doesn't come off as completely insincere, even citing her issues with her own mother and calling EvenEvilHasStandards on her prior behavior.
* ParentalAbandonment: Alluded to in "Thanksgiving"
** Made clear in the finale when her parents legally disown Chanel and even file a motion with the prosecution in her trial to just do whatever they want to her.
* PetTheDog: In "Seven Minutes In Hell", she saved Zayday from the Red Devil. Although she states that it was to benefit herself in the future, she states that she's come to somewhat like Zayday, suggesting it wasn't entirely out of selfishness.
** Her being willing to forgive the other Chanel's for plotting to murder her, probably also would qualify.
** Hearing Chad's family hurl abuse at Hester pushes Chanel to lash out at them in her defense.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: For such a small and thin girl, she incredibly strong.
* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: While many other characters are less than PC, Chanel takes it UpToEleven. She's shown to be racist, classist, homophobic, and prejudiced to the fat, the deaf, the ugly...''and that's just in the first episode''.
* PsychopathicManchild: She has the emotional maturity of a spoiled child and lives in a near-constant state of temper tantrum. This leads to her killing Ms. Bean.
* RichBitch: She has absolute contempt for anyone who isn't wealthy and considers servants as the next best thing to slaves.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: When she learns that Chanel #5 was the one who sold her out to the police, she has her sent to the Pumpkin Patch past curfew (in hopes that the Red Devil attacks and kills her). The plan nearly works.
* ScrewTheRulesIHaveMoney: When Dean Munsch threatens to close down KKT, Chanel immediately brings up the fact that her father is the biggest contributor to the university's endowment.
* SelectiveObliviousness: When Scotland Yard uncovers a solid motivation for Chanel #5 to be the killer, Chanel dismisses it out of hand, as she is convinced that Grace and Zayday are the killers, even though there is no evidence to suggest that they are the killers. She ends up convinced of Grace's guilt due to Grace's mother's police file.
* SmallNameBigEgo: Her Chanel-o-ween video makes sure to mention her exact numbers, as if to make her seem impressive. However, she doesn't have that many in comparison to minor celebrities; she hasn't even broken 1000 followers.
** Highlighted by the magazines thrown in towards the end of the bit. One says "Chanel-o-ween delights tens".
* TheSociopath: Not confirmed, but she does display a disturbingly high [[ManipulativeBitch number]] [[ItsAllAboutMe of]] [[LackOfEmpathy signs]]. Confirmed in the season finale. The judge calls her a sociopath before sentencing her and her minions to life in an insane asylum.
* SpoiledBrat: She's a perfect fit.
* StrangeMindsThinkAlike: She and Chanel #2 apparently thought there would be dinosaurs in hell. Given it was unclear whether Chanel #2 was a ghost or a hallucination this is debatable.
* VillainProtagonist: Is the focus of the majority of the show, and [[{{Jerkass}} really]] [[AlphaBitch isn't]] [[TheBully a]] [[RichBitch nice]] [[LackOfEmpathy person]].
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: She has ''hundreds'' of Instagram followers who practically worship her, even when she insults them.
* {{Yandere}}: Pushing Hester down the stairs. Whether she meant to actually kill her or just seriously hurt her is unclear, but she clearly embraces it in the following episode, where previews show her affectionally telling Chad how she "killed for love."

[[folder: Chanel #2]]
!!!Sonya Herfmann / Chanel #2
[[quoteright:300:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sq_s1_ariana.jpg]]
->'''Played By:''' Music/ArianaGrande

A Kappa Kappa Tau sister, and one of Chanel #1's minions.
----
* TheAlcoholic: According to her parents, she had problems with this. Though its implied to run in the family.
* AmbiguouslyBrown:
---> '''Chanel #5''': "It's too bad you had to die...before we found out what ethnicity you were."
* BetaBitch: Along with the other Chanels, she implements Chanel #1's commands.
* DeadPersonConversation: Chanel has one with her, in her dream. Its ambiguous if she really did return to talk, or if it was just a dream, though the fact that she answered questions on the Ouija board and told Chanel about the murder plot suggests it was real.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Even by Chanel standards, none of the others really care that she's dead, though given we only have Chanel's word on this and the fact the characters spend so little time grieving anyone's death this may or may not be the case.
** Despite bashing #2 in her eulogy, Chanel still saw to it that her elaborate funeral wishes were honored, and did seem to show some grief once she was alone.
* HiddenDepths: Her funeral episode reveals that she was less submissive than the first episode implied. Flashbacks show her pushing Chanel down the stairs, and she states that she was sent to Hell when she died.
* {{Irony}}: For being one of the few characters smart enough to see trouble coming she dies mainly because of her own stupidity.
* OfCorpseHesAlive: The Red Devil poses and photographs her dead body in various positions and places, in order to maintain the illusion that she's alive by posting the pictures in her Instagram.
* OneOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: Until the appointment of Chanel #6, the only one of the Chanels that doesn't have very pale skin and blonde hair,
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Known only as "Chanel #2" because Chanel Oberlin couldn't be bothered to learn her real name. Grace and Zayday later find out that her real name is Sonya.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: For such a small girl, she seems surprisingly strong, managing to knock the Red Devil back and wind him for a short while with a single kick.
* SacrificialLamb: She dies before the pilot episode even ends, and is the first known victim of the Red Devil.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: Attempts to jump ship after the girls cover up Ms. Bean's death. Unfortunately, the Red Devil had other plans in store for her.
* StrangeMindsThinkAlike: She and Chanel apparently thought there would be dinosaurs in hell. Given it was unclear whether Chanel #2 was a ghost or a hallucination this is debatable.
* TooDumbToLive: After the Red Devil texts her that he intends to kill her, all she does is text him back. After he stabs her and she kicks him into the wall, leaving him out for a moment, rather than running or calling for help or continuing to fight or anything remotely useful, she texts him again ("Stop!!! Please stop!!!") and goes to her computer to ask for help via Twitter.
* TheUnfavourite: Her parents hated her guts so much that they went on a cruise to celebrate when she died and left all the funeral arrangements on KKT's hands.

!!!Sadie Swenson // Chanel #3
[[quoteright:300:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sq_06_billie_lourd_ad_singles_0570_pw.jpg]]
->'''Played By:''' Billie Lourd

A Kappa Kappa Tau sister and another one of Chanel #1's minions.
----
* AbusiveParents: As "Thanksgiving" shows, her mother while seemingly friendly ignores her daughter and her father prefers her brother and makes her take the blame for everything. Chanel even calls them out on the fact that none of them cared she could have been killed by a serial killer.
* ActorAllusion: Not to one of Billie Lourd's previous roles, but rather to one of [[Creator/CarrieFisher her mother's]]. The earmuffs she's frequently seen wearing are meant to evoke [[Franchise/StarWars Princess Leia's iconic "cinnamon-bun" hairdo]]. This becomes blatant in the finale, where [[http://oceanup.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Scream-Queens-Cast-Film-Court-Scenes.jpg she adopts the actual hairdo during the Chanels' trial.]]
* BetaBitch: Along with the other Chanels, she implements Chanel #1's commands.
* BiTheWay: Admits in “Seven Minutes in Hell” she’s realized that gender is irrelevant to her, she just loves love. She mentions dating men and ends up dating a woman in the finale.
* CharacterTic: She touches her ear muffs quite often.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}:
** She's quick to go along with peoples' weird ideas, and it'll either be because she doesn't care enough to object, or because she sees no problem with it. For example, she thinks that Hester's idea to grind up diamonds to look like sugar, and then give it to Chanel is absolutely genius.
** She also buys into Hester's accusation of having a split personality named Dirty Helen, who helped the Red Devil, aka Chanel #5.
** During the Chanels' trials, she is the only one who appears to ''revel'' in their infamy.
* DarkSecret: She believes her biological father is UsefulNotes/CharlesManson.
* MasterOfTheMixedMessage: Her interactions with Sam come off as hitting on her, even when she claims the exact opposite.
* NotSoStoic: Despite her stoicism and common lack of emotions, she does occasionally break when she's scared. The best example is in "Ghost Stories" when she becomes convinced Boone's ghost is haunting her, and her normal no fazed reactions quickly go out the window.
* OddFriendship: With Sam. She offered to light #3's candle during Boone's vigil, and later #3 confessed her dark secret to her. They can be seen in each other's company for the rest of the episode.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Known only as "Chanel #3" because Chanel Oberlin couldn't be bothered to learn her real name.
* TheQuietOne: Of all the Chanels, she's by far the less histrionic and the most low-key.
* SpannerInTheWorks: In "Seven Minutes In Hell", her daring Sam to sleep in the basement bathtub in an angry fit at the latter for telling her DarkSecret in a game of truth or dare (which was established to determine the killer), actually had Sam killed by the Red Devil.
* TheStoic: Always remains calm and unemotional, even when obviously hurt or angry. She admits in “Seven Minutes in Hell” it’s been speculated that she might lack the part of the brain that grants emotions.
* TokenGoodTeammate: Honestly good is stretching it, Chanel #3 is still an accomplice to attempted murder (multiple times, no less) and unrepentant {{JerkAss}}, but she is by far the least bitchy of the Chanels..
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Chanel #4]]
!!!Chanel #4

A Kappa Kappa Tau sister and previously one of Chanel #1's minions. She died before the story started.
----
* FourIsDeath: So it's almost just as well the story starts off with her already dead.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Known only as "Chanel #4" because Chanel Oberlin couldn't be bothered to learn her real name.
* PosthumousCharacter: Prior to the events of the show, she got meningitis and went home, where she eventually died.

!!!Libby Putney / Chanel #5
[[quoteright:300:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sq_42_abigail_breslin_ad_singles_2876_pw.jpg]]
->'''Played By:''' Creator/AbigailBreslin

A Kappa Kappa Tau sister and yet another one of Chanel #1's minions.
----
* AbusiveParents: Her parents hate her guts. In "Thanksgiving" her family goes away on a holiday at Thanksgiving, without bothering to tell her. Its implied this has happened before. Then it is Taken UpToEleven in the first season finale where they willingly collude with Hester to frame her as the Red Devil.
* ADateWithRosiePalms: According to Chanel #1 in "Pumpkin Patch", she does this to ''Dora The Explorer, and has surveillance footage to prove it!''
* BetaBitch: Along with the other Chanels, she implements Chanel #1's commands.
* ButtMonkey: Chanel blames her for every little thing that goes wrong, even stuff she clearly wasn't involved in or had no control over. She regularly insults #5, belittles her, calls her crazy, and spreads a rumor that her vagina has/had teeth.
* CartwrightCurse: Lost both Roger and Dodger to the Red Devil; the former is killed with some rather large hedge shears in "Pumpkin Patch" and the latter is shot several in the face with a nail gun by the killer in the next episode.
* TheDragon: She's Chanel #1's ''de facto'' second-in-command and the most active of all the Chanels. However in the actual official hierarchy, Chanel #3 outranks her.
* GreenEyedMonster: When Chanel gives Hester a makeover and promotes her to Chanel #6, she loses her shit and has a temper tantrum.
* HeteronormativeCrusader: She has the biggest reaction when Boone asks to become the first male "sister" in KKT. She jumps out of her seat and threatens him with violence.
* HiddenDepths:
** Is a lot more insecure than she first appears to be.
** She is tech savvy enough to create a website in the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Web dark web]] seeking ideas on how to kill Chanel Oberlin.
** She possesses detailed knowledge about the chemistry as it relates to meat and allergens.
* TheNapoleon: To a lesser degree than Chanel #1; she's 5'1", but she has a serious temper and doesn't hesitate to threaten Boone with physical violence.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Known only as "Chanel #5" because Chanel Oberlin couldn't be bothered to learn her real name. It's eventually revealed to be Libby Putney by Scotland Yard.
* OnlySaneMan: Among Chanel's minions, #5 is more down-to-earth and logical than the others, and she's horrified by the weirdness of the others. She also points out how the idea of Hester's "sugar party" (a party wherein everybody just eats bowls of sugar) is stupid. Unfortunately for her, this makes her the StraightMan to the other two, who see no problems with their ways of thinking.
* ReallyGetsAround: She is quite promiscuous and determined not to let something as trivial as a serial killer get in the way of enjoying her sex live.
* TwinThreesomeFantasy: She mentions that she had a threesome with Roger and Dodger, apparently several times.
* VaginaDentata: Often accused of having this by Chanel #1.
* WeightWoe: Is very paranoid about her weight, as she is the least skinny of the Chanels. Later episodes have her arguing with clothing stores to replace the tags on her clothes (a "larger size" for a Chanel) with those of a Size 2 (which she definitely isn't)

!!!Grace Gardner
[[quoteright:300:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sq_19_skyler_samuels_ad_singles_1375_pw_2.jpg]]
->'''Played By:''' Skyler Samuels

A Kappa Kappa Tau legacy and pledge.
----
* AmazinglyEmbarrassingParents: Her dad is a little ''too'' attached to her, going so far as to become her teacher at the university.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: In "Mommie Dearest", she bitchslaps Chanel #1 after the latter goes too far about Grace's deceased mother.
* BreakTheCutie: Episode 8. She learns that her mother is nothing like she imagined her to be, finds out her father has been lying to her for years, Gigi's tearing her and her father apart, and people repeatedly call her out on how desperate she's been. Could also be a case of BreakTheHaughty if you agree with Munsch's [[ItsAllAboutMe assessment of her.]]
* BrokenPedestal: When she learns her mother an AlphaBitch and criminal, rather than the kind woman her father claimed she was.
* CynicismCatalyst: As a result of episode 8, she gets more dark and cynical throughout the episode.
* TheDeterminator: Refuses to give up and leave Wallace University, despite her life being in danger.
* DistractedByTheSexy: She has trouble thinking straight around a half-naked Pete.
* TheExile: Is kicked out of Kappa after backing out of the plan to kill the dean.
* FinalGirl: She is already being set up as this, sharing many traits with other final girls. In particular, she's a NiceGirl; is enemies with the AlphaBitch; has a prior connection to the sorority which she's trying to learn more about; and is the GirlNextDoor.
** Becomes prophetic, as she (and Zayday) are the only two to survive the Red Devil's attacks (the Chanels survived as well, only to be blamed for the crimes).
* FriendshipMoment: In "Pumpkin Patch", when she gets so fed up with everyone not being concerned with Zayday's disappearance, she ventures out to look for her herself (before being joined by Pete, Gigi, Denise, and Wes.
* GirlNextDoor: In sharp contrast with the Chanels, Grace's beauty is extremely down-to-earth and understated.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: Grace has blonde hair, and hasn't a bad bone in her body.
* IChooseToStay: Remains at Kappa in spite of all her dad's exhortations to leave.
* ItsAllAboutMe: Dean Munsch calls her on this claiming that Grace's investigation of what's happening is really about herself and trying to figure out her past.
* NervesOfSteel: She gets scared, but she manages to stay calm and keep a cool head in a crisis.
* NiceGirl: She easily qualifies, being kind to everyone she meets and the first to stand up for the other pledges when Chanel #1 attempts to haze them.
* NotSoDifferent: She comes up with the idea to kill Dean Munsch. She and Chanel agree on what way to kill her even speaking at the exact same moment.
* OneOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: Unlike the other pledges, Chanel can't find any physical problems with Grace and, by looks alone, Grace is probably someone who would get into Kappa under normal circumstances.
* OnlySaneMan: After Chanel #1 apparently kills Ms. Bean, Grace is the only one whose first reaction is to call campus police.
* PutOnABus: With Skyler Samuels opting to return to college (she deferred to film the first season), Grace will not be returning for Season 2.
* ShootTheDog: Surprisingly, she convinces the Kappa sisters that they should kill Dean Munsch, as she is a killer and likely the Red Devil, and killing her would keep dozens of people safe. She rationalizes this by pointing out it would save many lives, and that [[SamaritanSyndrome she would feel guilty if she did nothing and let more people get killed.]] Ultimately subverted, though; Pete convinces her not to give up her innocence by becoming a murderer herself.
* TheStoic: She's not completely emotionless, but still has a cool and collected attitude.
* SympathyForTheDevil: In "Mommie Dearest", she admits that Chanel #1's mother sounds like a genuinely terrible person.
%%* TheSpock
* TookALevelInBadass: Starts as a naive girl, but her experiences make her more dark and reactive. She attempts to stab Pete when he confesses his crimes, and absolutely wails on the Red Devil.

[[folder: Hester]]
!!!Hester "Neckbrace" Ulrich[=/=]Chanel #6
[[quoteright:300:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sq_24_lea_michele_ad_singles_1811_pw.jpg]]
->'''Played By:''' Creator/LeaMichele

A Kappa Kappa Tau pledge who wears a neck brace due to her scoliosis.
----
* AssholeVictim: While Chanel's plan to murder her is excessive, Hester purposely seduced Chad, tipped off the police about Chanel's murder of Miss Bean, lied about being pregnant to manipulate Chad into marrying her despite him making it beyond clear he wasn't interested, and did everything she could solely to try and take everything Chanel had.
* BackStabbingTheAlphaBitch: This is her plan throughout the season. However her efforts don't work out so well, as Chanel is smarter than her.
* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: A flashback in the season finale shows Hester complimenting Zayday and Grace for treating her nice, making it clear that she doesn't kill them for this reason.
* BigBadWannabe: In another show, her plot to usurp leadership in Kappa and steal Chanel's life could make her the main antagonist. But here is she is not only outdone by [[SerialKiller the Red Devil]], but by Chanel herself who is a lot more intelligent and ruthless than she is. That is, until it's revealed that she is in fact the true BigBad of the series.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: At first seems just another innocent poor girl, who is in awe of Kappa. However once she gets a MookPromotion, she reveals she's actually ruthless, power hungry and a backstabber. ''And'' she's the brains behind the Red Devils.
* BirdsOfAFeather: She shares Chad's fetishes and is turned on by the same things.
* BrainsAndBrawn: Was the "brains" to Boone's "brawn".
* FreudianExcuse: At first, it was assumed that years of being ostracized and bullied because of her neck brace have left her power-hungry, immoral, and traitorous. DoubleSubverted when it turns out she was never sick... but has a completely different Freudian Excuse for being one of the Red Devils, owing to her growing up in an asylum with her "mom" and her brother.
* GreenEyedMonster: Admits to Chad that she wants everything Chanel has, :and plans to overthrow her and take her fame and Chad as well.
* IllGirl: Supposedly had scoliosis, forcing her to wear a neck brace all the time. She takes it off once she joins the Chanels, though she notes that, thanks to her illness, it's painful as hell to go without it, and she eventually goes back to wearing it (albeit a very blinged-out version). It's all an act, though. She stole the neck brace from another woman at the asylum, and pretended to be ill in order to get people to underestimate her.
* KarmaHoudini: Possible one of the biggest, along with Dean Munsch. Despite being one of the Red Devil killers, her crime never came into light, ultimately [[TheBadGuyWins succeeded in her plans for revenge]], is living happily in the newly reformed Kappa Kappa Tau sorority, and she even stated that her self-inflicted [[EyeScream eye injury]] will make a full recovery.
* MookPromotion: Goes from lowly pledge to Chanel #6.
* NightmareFetishist: She shows extensive knowledge on how to hide and dispose of dead bodies when the sorority is faced with that very problem. She does, however, seem to be extremely disturbed when she finds the corpses of most of the Red Devil's victims.
** Later episodes confirm she is one with her love of grisly stories (such as Rasputin's murder), enjoyment scary stories, and all around interest in the murders. Given that she's one of the Red Devils, it makes perfect sense.
* NotMeThisTime: With the announcement that Hester has returned for Season 2, [[WordOfGod Ryan Murphy]] has gone so far to announce that Hester will ''not'' be the killer of that season.
* SheCleansUpNicely: After Chanel #1 gives her a makeover, dresses her up in couture, and gets rid of the neck brace, she looks stunning.
* SoleSurvivor: She is the only Red Devil killer left alive by the end of season 1.
* StaircaseTumble: Chanel nearly kills her in this fashion, by pushing her down the Kappa House stairs. Hester survives, though.
* TheStarscream: Soon after her promotion, she begins plotting the consecutive overthrows of Chanel #1 and Zayday.
* ThrowingOffTheDisability: Once she receives her makeover from Chanel, she ditches her neck brace. Triple subverted: initially she tells everyone that it's enormously painful not to wear it because all of her neck muscles have atrophied, but afterwards it's never brought up again until "Ghost Stories," in which she takes up wearing her newly bedazzled neck brace again because her spine was about to collapse. Justified in that she was never ill to begin with -- her claiming to have scoliosis was all an act to throw off suspicion.
* {{Tykebomb}}: Gigi raised her and her brother since infancy with the single goal of obtaining revenge against KKT.
* WalkingSpoiler: She is one of the many reasons this page has to be spoiler tag free.
* YesMan: Acts like this towards Chanel to win her over.

->'''Played By:''' Music/KekePalmer

A Kappa Kappa Tau pledge with a genius IQ.
----
* BlackAndNerdy: Zayday is a black girl with a genius IQ.
* BlackBestFriend: She quickly becomes Grace's best friend on campus.
* BlackDudeDiesFirst: Averted. She survives the entire season along with Grace.
* BrainyBrunette: Is a smart girl, with long brown hair.
* ChainsawGood: She keeps one under the bed for protection after her taser got confiscated. Her grandma sent it to her.
* CombatPragmatist: As soon as the killings begin, she starts carrying a taser.
* DamselInDistress: She's kidnapped by the Red Devil in "Haunted House", and though she escapes when the latter releases her in "Pumpkin Patch", she faces him again in "Seven Minutes In Hell", being cornered by him during a chase before Chanel #1 saves her.
* DamselOutOfDistress: Upon her release by the Red Devil to have dinner, she flirts with him before stabbing him in the hand with a fork before bolting.
* DeadpanSnarker: She snarks at all the dumb decisions the sorority makes.
* TheDeterminator: "Seven Minutes In Hell" proves that ''nothing'' will convince her to back down from her new presidency, not even the murders.
* TheLeader: She becomes the new Kappa house Co-President as of "Pumpkin Patch".
* OffscreenMomentOfAwesome: Subverted. She appears out of nowhere just in time for the elections in "Pumpkin Patch" while nothing is explained about her escape, until it's revealed she stabbed the Red Devil when he let her out for dinner and hauled ass.
* OnlySaneWoman: Along with Grace, as she clearly didn't like the idea of covering up Ms. Bean's death and questions Chanel's decisions often.
%%* TheSpock
* StraightMan: Even more so than Grace. Really, the only thing unusual about her is that her grandmother sent her a chainsaw.
* UnnecessaryCombatRoll: Subverted. Those rolls during her second encounter with the Red Devil actually saved her life.
* WhatTheHellHero: Gives almost ''everyone'' this when Chanel #1 convinces them to keep shut about her killing Ms. Bean with a trip to Cancun on her father's jet.

[[quoteright:300:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jennifer_pic_new.png]]
->'''Played By:''' Breezy Eslin

A Kappa Kappa Tau pledge and candle vlogger.
----
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Implied to be the one that came up with the idea of turning in Chanel #1 for the death of Mrs. Bean after she saw Chanel's careless treatment of some expensive candles.
* CloudCuckooLander: Asides from blogging about them, one promo for the series shows Jennifer eating candle wax.
** She has an extensive network of tunnels connecting her many ant farms. The way she described the ants' culture shows that ant farming is something she really, really likes.
* DeadGuyOnDisplay: She's made into a human candelabra by her killer.
* DeathByIrony: Killed while shooting yet ''another'' candle vlog.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Downplayed. While only the Chanels are actively mean to her, even [[NiceGirl Grace]] calls her "Farty." She also confirms that most people in the house ignore her and that Zayday was the only one to reach out to her.
* {{Gasshole}}: Chanel calls her "Farty," and she even tells everyone about her fart in episode 6.
* HiddenDepths: Not only does she have a complex network of ant farms, she shows a lot of interest in the way they govern their societies.
* HollywoodAutism: Begrudgingly admits that she is somewhere on the autism spectrum.
* SeriousBusiness: Misuse or disrespect towards candles are enough to send her into a terrible rage.
* SingleIssueWonk: Candles are all she talks about, and as far as she's concerned the world revolves around them.
* SmarterThanYouLook: Tends to be dismissed because of her candle obsession, but she's smart enough to have the political situation in the sorority pegged down to the last detail and can be a cunning enemy when provoked.
** When Grace and Zayday set up a sleepover so they can play 'Truth or Dare' to find out if any of them know anything about the Red Devil, she's the only one to question why someone wouldn't just lie after picking 'Truth'.
* StraightMan: Aside from her thing with candles, her farting and her ants, she's very straight-forward and normal. She's the only one to point out flaws in Chad's truth or dare game, causing him to flip out on her for "misunderstanding the game."

->'''Played By:''' Jeanna Han

A Kappa Kappa Tau pledge and liberal lesbian.
----
* ButchLesbian: Her establishing moment has her flirting with Zayday while stating that everyone secretly thinks heterosexual sex is disgusting. Lampshaded by Chanel.
-->'''Chanel''': Real name? "Mac" or "Butch" or something. Two days ago, I caught her staring at my ass on the quad. All that girl's after is a whole lot of bikini burger.
* DirtyCoward: Dies offering to help the Red Devil, and kill the others.
* FeigningIntelligence: Backs up and hides her quite-transparent misandry with name-dropping and meaningless rhetoric.
* HypocriticalHumor: Despite decrying men for doing so, she clearly has no problems with sexually objectifying women for her own benefit (between her spying on Channel #3 getting dressed, and hanging a picture of a gorgeous woman posing on a motorcycle in her room). Obviously {{played for laughs}}.
* MauveShirt: Munsch even calls her fodder. She does die shortly after getting some character development and exploration on her relationship with Chanel #3 in "Seven Minutes In Hell".
* OddFriendship: With Chanel #3. Sam offered to light her candle during Boone's vigil, and later #3 confessed her {{dark secret}} to her. They can be seen in each other's company for the rest of the episode.
* StrawFeminist: She objects to the idea of a male security guard looking after her and states that, while heterosexual sex isn't rape, it is [[HetIsEw disgusting]].
* TwoferTokenMinority: Asian, and very gay.

A Kappa Kappa Tau pledge [[ShapedLikeItself who is deaf and likes]] Music/TaylorSwift.
----
* CloudCuckooLander: Even leaving aside her massive obsession with Music/TaylorSwift, her seemingly complete obliviousness to how much the Chanels look down on her places her in this category.
* TheCutie: Is dressed just like Music/TaylorSwift.
* LoonyFan: Her fixation with Music/TaylorSwift is her most easily recognizable trait.
-->'''Tiffany''': (''is buried up to her neck in dirt'') Hey guys, what do you think Taylor Swift is doing ''right now?''
* OffWithHerHead: Via a lawnmower.
* OhCrap: When she ''finally'' sees the Red Devil-ridden lawnmower heading towards her head.
-->'''Tiffany''': (''singing to herself'') ''I shake it off, I shake it off--'' (''sees lawnmower'') '''HOLY CRAP!'''

->'''Played By:''' Nasim Pedrad

An official from the Kappa Kappa Tau national organization.
----
* ActionSurvivor: Despite her personality, when she's attacked by the Red Devil in "Chainsaw", she manages to avoid his attacks and even defeat him through a combination of quick thinking, [[CombatPragmatist taking advantage of her surroundings]], and outright assaulting him. However it later turns out this was staged.
* {{Adorkable}}: Is pretty quirky even when directing the Red Devil.
* AffablyEvil: She may be the mastermind behind the Red Devil attacks, but from what we've seen her cheerful, quirky nature is her genuine personality. When she's not involved in revenge plots she's a pretty sweet person.
* AmbiguouslyBrown: She herself lampshades her unclear ethnicity.
* BigBadWannabe: Had a pretty good run as one, but got offed by TheStarscream in episode 10.
* BitchInSheepsClothing: She is the ring leader of the Red Devils. Up until they turn on her.
* BullyingTheDragon: She attempts to chastise Boone when he goes off the plan too many times and causes them more problems, despite knowing full well how [[AxCrazy violent]], [[TheSociopath unstable]] and [[LackOfEmpathy deranged]] Boone really is. Sure enough her efforts end with her only realising just how little control she has in this situation after she's finished speaking. If it wasn't for the other Red Devil, Boone would have killed her. And as it turns out, he did.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: She clearly has a screw loose somewhere, and it shows in her behavior.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Hinted at. She states that she has been told that her sense of style of clothing and mannerisms are the result of a traumatic experience that happened to her in the 90's. The ending to "Haunted House" implies that Gigi is the Hag of Shady Lane, a woman who hid herself in an abandoned house and wailed like a banshee. She may have also taken care of the bathtub baby. "Mommie Dearest" reveals that she spent sometime in the insane asylum.
** ''Black Friday'' gives us most of her story. She was actually the ''sister'' of the girl in the bathroom. Her sister committed suicide out of guilt, leaving her both insane, and with two children to care for.
* DecapitationPresentation: Her head is presented to the Kappas, being switched out with their turkey dinner.
* DiscoDan: Her fashion sense and personality is permanently stuck in UsefulNotes/TheNineties. Grace at one point takes her shopping for more modern or serious clothes, and she clearly hates all of them.
* DroppedABridgeOnHer: She appears to be a main character when she's revealed to be the mastermind behind the murders but the Red Devil [[KilledOffscreen kills her offscreen]] three episodes before the finale.
* HannibalLecture: When Grace accuses her of being the Red Devil, she not only points out how flimsy the evidence is, but also says that Grace is probably just trying to pin the murders on her because she can't accept that her dad is dating someone again, and that Grace is trying to get rid of two problems at once. There may be some truth to Gigi's assessment, because Grace [[BreakThemByTalking stammers and is on the verge of tears.]]
* ItsPersonal: By implication. Boone makes it clear she's the one in the Antonin Scalia costume during the attack on Dean Munsch. The fact that it's likely she wasn't directly involved in the other Red Devil killings and seemed to mainly function as the mastermind could indicate that she harbours a special kind of hatred for the dean.
* NiceGirl: Eccentric and clearly not that bright, Gigi is nevertheless friendly, supportive, and quite sweet. Or is she?
* OfficialCouple: As of "Pumpkin Patch" with Wes.
* OffWithHerHead: The Red Devil decapitates her.
* ThePollyanna: Tries to remain upbeat and cheerful regardless of the situation. Even if said situation involves a serial killer.
* {{Revenge}}: All the killings are part of her revenge plot, for what went down in 95.
* ShipTease: With Wes.
* StartOfDarkness: Her flashbacks and information pieced together present how her fall into darkness came about. It starts with the death of the girl in the bathtub, her sister committing suicide, and her attempts to raise the bathtub babies on her own, ending up in an asylum, and training her adoptive children to seek out revenge.
* TragicVillain: Gigi may have been the mastermind behind the Red Devil attacks, but her life hasn't been an easy one. Sophia giving birth back in 1995 ruined her life; it caused her sister Amy to commit suicide, forcing her to take twin babies in at eighteen. Afterwards she was forced to become the Hag of Shady Lane to look after them, had to resort to stealing milk to feed them, and eventually ended up in a mental hospital. She left her real family behind a long time ago, and was only left with the two babies. And to top it all off, both of them turned on her and tried to kill her in their adulthood. It's really summed up best when she's having Thanksgiving with the Red Devil, and thanks them for being there as she literally has little else in her life (except Wes), right before the Red Devil murders her.
* TokenGoodTeammate: Is honestly the nicest Kappa to appear. Or so she seems.
* WomanInBlack: As the Hag of Shady Lane.
* YouKilledMyFather: Or more precisely, [[DrivenToSuicide you drove my sister to suicide]]. As far as Gigi is concerned KKT is responsible for her sister's death, a belief that drives her RoaringRampageOfRevenge.

* TheHermit: After leaving the university, she went to live in a trailer in the middle of nowhere, living off roadkill.
* KeepingSecretsSucks: Keeping the secret of what happened to Sophia has ruined her life.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: Well, her adult self, at least. She gets killed by the Red Devil one scene after confessing her involvement.

[[folder: Bethany]]
!!!Bethany Stevens / Mary Mulligan
->'''Played By:''' Anna Grace Barlow

The Kappa Kappa Tau president during the bathtub baby incident in 1995.
----
* AbusiveParents: While the abuse was more the result of carelessness and negligence than actual meanness, drunk driving with baby Grace ''on top of the car'' definitively qualifies.
* AlphaBitch: Was a terrible person at Kappa.
* BrokenPedestal: She's the mom Grace idolized all throughout her life, unaware of how horrible she really was.
* KeepingSecretsSucks: Her life spiraled out of control after leaving college, descending into alcoholism, drug addiction and crime.
* MeaningfulRename: She changed her name to Mary Mulligan. A mulligan is a golf term that refers to a do-over, or fresh start. She tried to get a fresh start after getting with Wes.
* SkewedPriorities: She delayed giving Sophia any kind of assistance because she didn't want to miss her favorite song.

* DumbBlonde: She is a dim-witted girl, with short blonde hair.
* TheDitz: Really isn't bright - Chanel claims she forgot her own name at one point.
* ElectrifiedBathtub: Someone dumped a radio into the bath while she was bathing but it didn't kill her.
* FrameUp: Dean Munsch frames her for being the Red Devil, and for causing her ex-husbands death.
* ItIsPronouncedTroPAY: She consistently mispronounces the word bologna as ''BOH-LOG-NAH'' instead of ''BO-LO-NIA''.
* LikesOlderMen: Ends up with Doctor Munsch, who is over twice her age.
* NiceGirl: Seems pretty sweet if a bit out there.
* SingleIssueWonk: She is completely fixated on bologna. She even has a blog about it.
* {{Subject 101}}: She met Dr Munsch when she was taking [[Music/TheBeatles Beatles 101]].
* TeacherStudentRomance: Dr Munsch was her Music/TheBeatles teacher at the university.
* TokenGoodTeammate: She's the only Kappa to appear who isn't a total bitch or a murderer.

----
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Back in 1995, her proposed method to get rid of Sophia's body was to grind it and use the meat to make sausages, which she would then sell at the farmers' market or feed to the KKT sisters.
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: Chanel burns her face off with fryer oil. She screams for a while before she finally dies.
* EthnicMenialLabor: {{Subverted}} and [[PlayingWithATrope played with]]. She's white, but Chanel treats her with contempt and sees her a little more than a slave, hence her nickname for her: "[[Film/GoneWithTheWind White Mammie]]."
* FacialHorror: Chanel kills her by dunking her headfirst into a cooker full of fryer oil. Taken UpToEleven when she doesn't die immediately and rips off her crisp epidermis before keeling down.

One of the security guards hired by Gigi to protect the KKT Sorority.
----
* ActionGirl: {{Averted|Trope}}. She does not display any inclination to fight, despite being a security guard.
* CrazyPrepared: She carries Luminol around with her. Subverted, as it isn't so much for looking for blood as much as it's for looking for ''horseradish'' (it reacts to an enzyme).
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: She veers wildly from utter incompetence and crazy ideas (like Zayday being the killer) to amazingly insightful detective work. She's the one who suggests there is more than one killer and, incredibly, is the only one who realizes that Chanel #2 has been murdered.
** It is notable that, while her conclusion that Zayday is the killer is nonsensical, the sheer amount of information she's able to get on Zayday in such a short time, with no legal authority to investigate, is still impressive.
* FreudianExcuse: Zayday concludes that Denise's grudge against her stems from the fact that Denise had tried to pledge Kappa as well, back in 1988, and was immediately rejected because of her race.
* LovableCoward: Despite her job, she's more interested in running away from the danger than protecting people from it. But she's still a cheerful person, with most of it being [[PlayedForLaughs played for humor]] rather than being a character flaw.
* ThePiratesWhoDontDoAnything: {{Subverted|Trope}}. She doesn't do much aside from eat burgers in her car, though she does at least seem ready to help those in danger. In "Pumpkin Patch", though begrudgingly, she still assists Grace and the others in the search for Zayday when she goes missing while still convinced she's the killer.
* RankUp: Hired as chief of police after the entire Homicide Division is fired.
* SassyBlackWoman: She takes this UpToEleven.

[[quoteright:300:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sq_02_glen_powell_ad_singles_0214_pw.jpg]]
->'''Played By:''' Glen Powell

The acting president of DDS, and Chanel's boyfriend.
----
* AmbiguouslyEvil: "Evil" is stretching it, but it seems Chad truly is too self-obsessed and out-of-it to understand the morality of his actions and relate to other people.
* AssholeVictim: In essence, he is being raped by Dean Munsch, who is blackmailing him for sex. But he's such a tool that most of the audience doesn't seem to mind, neither does he for that matter.
* BastardBoyfriend: Whenever he's actually dating Chanel.
* BirdsOfAFeather: He eventually finds someone who not only plays along with the macabre things that turn him on but actually shares them: Hester. Subverted as he later choses Chanel over her.
* BookDumb: Lampshaded in "Pumpkin Patch" following a monologue where he gets almost every single historical fact wrong, Dean Munsch wonders how he got into this university.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: His plan to catch the Red Devil: [[AlcoholInducedIdiocy get juiced]], scream "Red Devil," and cause havoc outside, in the hopes that he'll just show up. He calls this a "ghetto code." Coupled with his self-absorbed nature and stupidity, it's evident that he's not very in-touch with reality. His plan is CrazyEnoughToWork, though.
* DarkSecret: Parodied, he is very ashamed about being lactose intolerant.
* DemotedToExtra: In Season 2 where he's now a guest star. A lot of fans are confused by this as well, seeing as he's the clear-cut EnsembleDarkhorse and BreakoutCharacter of Season 1. Fans are clinging to hope he won't suffer SuddenSequelDeathSyndrome and that his role will be similar to that of Denise in S1.
* DumbassHasAPoint: He may be a moron, but he has several moments of keen insight:
** When he points out that Ms Bean's body being missing doesn't mean she's alive. Someone could've just moved it.
** When he correctly deduces that Boone's death couldn't have possibly been a suicide as the police claim.
** He also anticipates that the fact he has necrophilia will draw the police's suspicion upon him, if he reports to them finding the bodies of the Red Devil's victims.
** In “Seven Minutes in Hell” he’s the only one to remember there are two red devils when everyone is accusing each other, and is the one who finds the secret passageway.
** In "Thanksgiving" upon finding Hester's body missing, he immediately asks if Chanel bothered to check her pulse and confirm she was dead. Upon it turning out she didn't, he rightly predicts she is still alive, woke up, left and will find them later on.
* DumbJock: Despite the only sport he partakes in being golf, he fits this. However, it's clear that he is in fact the smartest member of the Dickie Dollar Scholars (excluding Boone), [[TheDitz which really says more about them]] than being any achievement for him.
* EveryoneHasStandards: Chad is misogynistic, extremely lustful and perverse. However when his brother dedicates his Thanksgiving speech on what he is thankful for to extreme Eastern European pornography, and how its effected local girls, even Chad is left speechless and clearly embarrassed.
* FamilyThemeNaming: His brothers are named Brad and Thad.
* AFatherToHisMen: Chad’s biggest redeeming trait is he honestly does like and care for the other members of the Dicky Dollars Scholars society, and is supportive, protective, accepting and kind towards all of them. He’s likewise devastated when they die…[[TheFriendNobodyLikes except Dodger for some reason]].
* {{Foil}}: Chad is several ways a foil to Chanel. Both possess similar personalities, are heads of their respective societies, and similar levels of influence on campus. However they have multiple differences. Chanel admits she doesn't truly have any friends, and often bullies and belittles her fellow Chanel's to keep them in line. Chad by contrast, genuinely does like the other members of the DDS to whom he is encouraging, compassionate and friendly. In turn he is very popular amongst them, to the point he is unbeatable in a campaign race, and Caulfield is happy to charge a serial killer to save him. Chanel is largely bigoted, Chad while hugely misogynist doesn't seem to posses any other prejudice (his best friend Boone is Gay, which he knows and accepts. He's likewise friends with Earl who is Black and British). Chanel is heavily implied to be the way she is through being abused herself (by her mother, by the former heads of Kappa), Chad by contrast is implied to be the way he is through be spoiled. These contrasts set two people who could otherwise be considered [[DistaffCounterpart Distaff Counterparts]] apart.
* GoldDigger: He tells Chanel right to her face that her best quality is that she has a super rich dad. Chanel takes this as a compliment. (Chad himself doesn't need the money, as his family is incredibly wealthy OldMoney)
** Interestingly, his parents think Chanel is one, despite her being actually super rich.
* GoodPeopleHaveGoodSex: {{Inverted|Trope}}. He is a massive asshole who is absolutely terrible in bed, thanks to his necrophilia.
** Granted this might just be with Dean Munsch as Denise enjoyed sleeping with him.
** Chanel also establishes that she fakes it in bed with him. Though she does jump at every half chance to sleep with him.
* HiddenDepths: Despite all of Chad's numerous flaws he does truly care for his fellow DDS brothers. When he found out Boone was gay he didn't care and got the other members of the DDS to join him in trying to exact revenge on the Red Devil who "killed" Boone. Also, while he does get annoyed at Chanel for breaking up with him and kicking him out of bed Chad does leave and doesn't try to continue once she made it clear they were done. For such a sex addict like Chad having that level of self-control is surprising.
* HonorBeforeReason: When he thinks Hester is pregnant he immediately plans to take responsibility and marry her, despite the fact he's made it clear he doesn't like her and knows he's going to be unhappy marrying her.
** He also intends to fight Pete in a duel, due to him rejecting a membership in the DDS, and the old tradition saying Chad has to.
* ILoveTheDead: He's aroused by dead bodies. It's not clear whether or not he had intercourse with corpses.
* ItsAllAboutMe: Chad is a huge egomaniac who can't go more than a few sentences without complimenting himself. This is implied to be the source of his jerkish tendencies.
* JerkJock: To such a degree that he manages to fulfill this role in the show even though the sport he plays is ''golf''.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Chad is a narcissistic, selfish jerk. However, he has a few redeeming traits; he truly does seem to like and care about his frat brothers, and is accepting and protective of his best friend Boone. Also after giving his word to Chanel to not sleep with anyone else but her, he keeps it, despite it causing him obvious misery.
* KnowNothingKnowItAll: A {{downplayed|Trope}} example. His views about relationships are extremely skewed and emotionally abusive, but he seems to genuinely believe that [[NeverMyFault he's not at fault]] and that Chanel is the abusive one. He explains that he knows this because he's a psychology major, and that Chanel can't recognize her abuse because she's not educated in psychology.
* LackOfEmpathy: Subverted, his extreme sex drive and egocentricity leads Grace to believe he's incapable of seeing people as anything other than objects in relation to him, and causes her to initially suspect he's the killer. Turns out Chad is perfectly capable of feeling empathy, and can honestly be incredibly understanding, supportive and caring towards others, as he repeatedly displays as the series goes on towards his fellow members of the DDS. Chad's just an arrogant, lustful, misogynistic young man not a lunatic.
* LikesOlderWomen: Chad will sleep with any girl he meets, however both the people he's admitted to enjoyed having sex with the most (Dean Munsch and Denise) are quite a bit older than him.
* MommyIssues: By his own admission, he has a ton of mother issues, to which he attributes his attraction towards Dean Munsch.
* MrFanservice: He had a couple of shirtless scenes.
* NightmareFetishist: He gets very aroused by death and the macabre. When he finds the bodies of most of the Red Devil's victims, he's terrified, but admits afterwords that he was still turned on.
* PetTheDog: Not only does he accept his best friend Boone's sexuality, he even lets him share a bed with him when he's scared--twice. Even after the first time had Boone inappropriately touching him, it did not damage their friendship, and he let him in again on another occasion once he promised not to do it again.
** Its subtle but when he and Hester find the bodies Red Devil's victims he grabs her by the hand and drags her along with him while running out.
** Later on when discussing what to do in the coffee shop Chad tried to warn everyone else there NOT to go to the haunted house. This fails but the it's the thought that counts.
** Him being genuinely encouraging towards Caulfield, after he looses both his arms also counts.
** Him also honouring his promise, and not sleeping with any other girl after he promised Chanel he would remain loyal to her, also qualifies. Especially as doing so, causes him noticeable distress.
** He also invites Pete to join the DDS, despite previously rejecting him on the grounds that any friend of Boone's is a friend of his.
* ReallyGetsAround: Chad has a serious problem keeping it in his pants, to the point that he is explicitly called a "man-whore." He even ends up sleeping with Denise.
* SeriousBusiness: Clothes packing is this to him, to the point where he did his minor in it.
* SoBeautifulItsACurse: He has this opinion about himself, believing that EvenTheGuysWantHim.
* SoleSurvivor: With the death of both Boone and Earl in "Ghost Stories", he is the last Dickie Dollar Scholar left remaining.
* WhiteSheep: Downplayed, as "Thanksgiving" reveals, for all Chad's flaws he is by far the nicest Radwell.
* YourCheatingHeart: He cheats on Chanel #1 constantly. For example, he has slept with all the Chanels.
** The relationship is, admittedly, open. Chanel seemed pretty okay with Chad's promiscuousness when they were together. Likewise after giving his word not sleep with anyone else, he does keep it, though he's clearly not happy about it.

[[folder: Boone]]
!!!Boone Clemens
[[quoteright:300:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sq_01_nick_jonas_ad_singles_0045_pw.jpg]]
->'''Played By:''' Nick Jonas

A member of DDS, and Chad's roommate and best friend.
----
* AxCrazy: As the Red Devil, he's pretty violent.
* BeardnessProtectionProgram: He wears a fake one to go out in public after faking his death and gets confused for Creator/JoaquinPhoenix.
* BrainsAndBrawn: Was the "brawn" to Hester's "brain"
* TheBrute: Out of all of the Red Devil killers, he was physically the strongest of the bunch and is implied to have cause the majority of the killings. Both Pete and Hester, even referred to him the "muscle" to the Red Devil conspiracy.
* DumbMuscle: His sister tends to refer to him as such. While Boone is much smarter than most characters, it's not hard to see why some one like his [[TheChessmaster sister]] would view him as this.
* FreudianExcuse: His mother died in childbirth, he spent the first few months of his life living on rubbish and stolen milk, then spent the first four years of his life in an asylum, surrounded by lunatics. All this goes to explaining why he's so unstable.
* JerkJock: To such a degree that he manages to fulfill this role in the show even though the sport he practices is ''golf''.
* LackOfEmpathy: He's happy to kill his own friends, just as soon as ordered or he feels it would benefit him.
* MadeOfIron: Falls out of a second story window, on to solid concrete and just gets up and runs away.
* OneOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: Unlike the other members of the DDS, he’s actually pretty smart, granted this is partially by comparison.
* PaperThinDisguise: See BeardnessProtectionProgram, at one point though he even signs his real name when someone mistakes him for Joaquin Phoenix and asks for his autograph.
** This disguise fails him in "Ghost Stories" allowing him to be found out although most people thought he was a ghost.
* RedRightHand: He's found out to be not a ghost after Zayday and Grace spot his scarred right hand from when Zayday had stabbed him with a fork.
* SacrificialLamb: {{Subverted|Trope}}, as he's revealed to have faked his death and is working with his sister and adopted mom, as well as performing the serial killings himself. Then he's actually killed off by Pete, acting under blackmail.
* StalkerWithACrush: Was this to Zayday.
* TheStarscream: Towards Gigi.
* StraightGay: Subverted, pretended to be gay as an elaborate plan for revenge along with joining the Dickie Dollar Scholars.
* StealthHiBye: As one of the Red Devil's, he's an absolute master at this.
* TheSociopath: Has seeming no concept of empathy, or understanding that killing is wrong. He happy and causally discusses and contemplates murder, with equal ease he actually kills.
* {{Tykebomb}}: Gigi raised him and his sister since infancy with the single goal of obtaining revenge against KKT.
* VitriolicBestBuds: With Chad. Chad is perhaps the only person in the world he ever held any genuine care for.
* WalkingSpoiler: Yeah... its hard to explain Boone's involvement with the plot without spoiling the character outright.

[[folder: Earl Grey]]
!!!Earl Grey
->'''Played By:''' Lucien Laviscount

A member of DDS, his defining trait is being British, and he seems to take over the role of Chad's main sidekick after Boone's death.
----
* AdvertisedExtra: Lucien Laviscount is billed in the main cast, but appears in very few episodes and has minimal lines.
* DumbJock: Just like the rest of the Dickie Dollars Scholars (except Boone), he's not very bright.
* EverythingSoundsSexierInFrench: Speaking British English, rather, is part of his appeal to Zayday.
* HiddenDepths: Underneath his frat boy personality and lack of intellect, he actually strongly supports progression and racial equality (granted in a quite twisted manner) and would do so himself, if Chad wasn't unbeatable as president. For this reason, he supports Zayday in her pursuit of overthrowing Chanel.
* LovableJock: He is a nice, easy-going guy unlike the rest of the Dickie Dollar Scholars.
* NiceGuy: Frat boy personality aside, he seems pretty laid-back, kind and friendly.
* MauveShirt: What little development he had was to make his murder by Boone more tragic and personal for Zayday.
* PunnyName: ''Earl Grey'' is a type of tea, furthering the fact that he's meant to be a British stereotype.
* SeparatedByACommonLanguage: Chad frequently misunderstands him due to his use of British terminology.
* StraightMan: Aside from his frat boy personality, he seems to be the most normal of the Dickie Dollar Scholars.
* TwoferTokenMinority: His nationality is what gets played up for jokes and turned into a stereotype. The fact that he's black has been completely irrelevant thus far.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Roger and Dodger]]
!!!Roger and Dodger
->'''Played By:''' Aaron Rhodes (Roger) and Austin Rhodes (Dodger)

Twin brothers who are members of DDS.
----
* AngstySurvivingTwin: Roger at first misses him deeply. Subverted later on when he realizes how refreshing it is not to be around him all the time.
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: Dodger was gutted with hedge shears, but it was Rodger who was shot with a nailgun at point blank range three times. Then a bunch of nails are unloaded into his face.
* DumbBlond: Both of these pretty blond boys are as dumb as a bag of bricks.
* DumbJock: Just like all the other members other DDS except Boone.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Following his death it turns out none of the DDS truly liked Dodger, and believed he was holding Roger back, [[AFatherToHisMen even Chad]].
* SkewedPriorities: When being chased by the Red Devil they stop running to demand that Chanel #5 picks one of them, after proclaiming they both have fallen for her and can no longer accept her sleeping with both of them Chanel #5 lampshades how poor their timing is.
** Also worth mentioning that earlier in the same scene, when the Red Devil first shows up with the hedge clippers, Dodger says they should go "bash his car", while Roger has to step in and say that they should protect Chanel #5 first.
* SiblingTriangle: Their relationship with Chanel #5 eventually evolves into one of this, when the twins decide that they don’t want to share her anymore. The triangle is resolved rather quickly when Chanel #5 chooses Roger on the fly and Dodger is killed shortly thereafter.
* ThemeTwinNaming: Their names are nearly identical.
* ThoseTwoGuys: They always appear together, until Dodger gets killed by the Red Devil.
* TwinThreesomeFantasy: They both have sex with Chanel #5, simultaneously.

[[folder: Caulfield]]
!!! Caulfield Mount Herman
->'''Played By:''' Evan Paley

Another member of the DDS, who ends up loosing both arms in a fight with the Red Devil.
----
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Sure he's an idiot, but he's certainly a tough idiot. When the Red Devil cuts his arm off, his first response is to pick up his bat with his other arm and try to carry on fighting. This causes him to loose his other arm. But is still pretty impressive.
* DumbJock: As with the other members of the DDS (except Boone).
* HandicappedBadass: Parodied, loosing both arms doesn't prevent him from winning the DDS challenge of eating spaghetti-o's.
* MadeOfIron: Is more surprised than hurt when he looses both arms. And likewise survives and recovers from it easily. It takes chopping his head off to kill him.
* UndyingLoyalty: To Chad. He charges the Red Devil to save him.
* OffWithHisHead: How the Red Devil kills him.

->'''Played By:''' Creator/JamieLeeCurtis

The new Dean of Students, she has a grudge against Kappa Kappa Tau.
----
* ActionGirl: The Dean turns out to be a superior hand to hand fighter. She's able to singlehandedly kick the crap out of two Red Devils and an Antonin Scalia and send them running.
* TheAlcoholic: Not to the extent it interferes with her life to much, but she drinks a lot more often than she should. Wes even calls her out for trying to have scotch at ten in the morning.
* TheAtoner: After dealing with the Red Devils personally and Jennifer's murder, Cathy shows more sorrow and regret for her actions. She starts helping Grace out with investigations by giving her information, she finally closes campus to protect the girls, and calls out the police for their incompetence.
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: Is Dean of Wallace University, and probably the toughest person in the series, considering she single handily takes on three Red Devils, and emerges victorious.
* DarkSecret: Back in 1995, she covered up the death of a student at Kappa Kappa Tau in order to protect her career.
* DeanBitterman: She despises young people in general and holds a longstanding grudge against sororities in particular, possibly stemming from an incident in her past.
* DirtyCoward: As Grace points out, she's keeping the campus open to keep people from finding out her involvement with the death of the sorority girl in 1995.
* DirtyOldWoman: Not especially old; however, she's very forward in her sexual advances, often towards younger men. Including blackmailing some of her students to sleep with her.
* DoubleStandardRapeFemaleOnMale: The dean of a university blackmails a student to obtain sex in exchange for the student not failing in class. If the genders of the participants were reversed, nobody would hesitate to call it rape. The fact that Chad is a huge jerk and clearly enjoys having sex with her (specifically a lot more than she enjoys sleeping with him) is an attenuating circumstance.
* HeWhoFightsMonsters: She has become the same kind of authority figure she used to rebel against in her youth, only without the same amount of power.
* ItsAllAboutMe: As Grace lampshades, she doesn't care about the killings, right up until their is an attempt on her own life.
* JadedWashout: Outright wonders what happened to her life, she has the same position of authority she used to rebel against only with less power, reaching Dean has only meant she gets the most slight pay rise, her husband left her for a younger woman, and she's forced to blackmail students into having sex with her (and not even good sex).
* JerkAssHasAPoint: When she calls Grace on making her investigation about the Red Devil about herself and her past.
* KarmaHoudini: Probably the biggest one, along with Hester. She becomes a best-selling author (of a book that was ghost-written), keeps her job and the campus, her crimes are never brought to light, and even gets Wes as a boyfriend.
* LackOfEmpathy: Really doesn’t care in the slightest there is a lunatic on campus, murdering people in connection to Kappa.
* MayDecemberRomance: She's blackmailing Chad into a sexual relationship. She finds sleeping with him tedious, he practically falls for her.
* NighInvulnerability: Poison her drink, freeze her alive, it won't matter nothing seems to kill this woman.
* NightmareFetishist: Has a white noise machine that has 500 different sounds of things like "distressed whale calls," "baboons fighting," and "slasher movie."
* OfficialCouple: With Wes, as of the finale.
* PassiveAggressiveKombat: Her preferred avenue of attack when dealing with someone who is actually nice.
* PetTheDog: Is apparently pro-tolerance towards Homosexuals.
* SawStarWarsTwentySevenTimes: She's seen ''Film/{{Psycho}}'' fifty times.
* StrawFeminist: Her ghostwritten book on feminism. She sums up her message as "women should be in power over everything." Though it's clear that she was just pulling that out of her ass to impress her fans.
* SurroundedByIdiots: Constantly, to the point where she openly states she has no idea how Chad got into college.
** Most notably is when she frames a student for the murder of her ex-husband, leaving behind careful clues...only to have the police be so incompetent and lazy that they fail to even spot the fake evidence.
** When the police share their theory that the Red Devil is a ghost, Munsch realizes it's time to call in the FBI rather than count on these morons for help.
* {{Troll}}: She derives great pleasure from messing with the heads of the KKT sisters. Even the few nice ones.
* WomanScorned: Murders, then mutilates her ex-husband, and then frames the woman he left her for it. She even quotes the full line, when monologue about the event.

->'''Played By:''' Diego Boneta

The editor of ''The Sentinel'', the university paper, and a barista at a local coffee shop on campus.
----
* TheAtoner: By "Black Friday" he's racked with guilt and shame at being a murderer.
* TheDeterminator: Will stop at nothing to catch the Red Devil killer, he even gives up his holiday to dedicate more time to working on it.
* ForcedIntoEvil: Was forced to act as the third Red Devil by the other killers in exchange for both his and Grace's safety.
* GenreSavvy: Same as Grace he's aware of horror tropes, although unlike her, he doesn't fly off the handle as much as she does, allowing him to actually be this.
* GoofySuit: He is also the school mascot, meaning he often has to wear the Red Devil suit.
* IntrepidReporter: Despite only being for the university's newspaper, the lengths he's willing to go push him towards this trope.
* KnightTemplar: While he is indeed remorseful, he considers himself justified in his murders as they went on to make a difference.
* LoveInterest: He is quickly set up as this for Grace.
* NiceGuy: He seems to be an all-around cheerful and friendly guy, and he likewise has disdain for the stuck-up Kappas and [[{{Jerkass}} Chad]]. However he's not as pure as he first seems.
* OnlySaneMan: Arguably the most sane character in the series, the closest thing to a quirk he has is that he likes doing a Creator/MatthewMcConaughey impression.
* SchoolNewspaperNewsHound: The editor of the university's newspaper, he hopes to crack open the secrets of Kappa Kappa Tau.
* StalkerWithACrush: For Chanel, last year. According to Pete later on, Chanel purposely lead him on and manipulated him for a prank.
* TheUnfettered: For such a nice guy, Pete has surprisingly few moral scruples when it comes to investigating the Red Devil's identity, and has happily resorted to breaking and entering, hacking security systems and even bribing an official with drugs, to get a DNA test results. Granted as he's trying to stop a mass murderer, its perhaps justified. It proves however to be an early hint of truly [[KnightTemplar how far he is willing to go.]]
* WellIntentionedExtremist: Him being willing to let the Red Devils carry on, stems from his hatred of the corruption and elitism of the sorority and fraternity systems on campus.
* WickedCultured: At one point quotes Nietzsche to Grace when talking about why he helped the Red Devils.
* WithCatlikeTread: Whenever he tries to sneak into a place, he accidentally breaks the glass on the door or window he's picking.

->'''Played By:''' Oliver Hudson

Grace's father, who gets a job as a professor at Wallace University when the killings start, so he can keep an eye on his daughter.
----
* AmazinglyEmbarrassingParents: Grace is absolutely mortified when not only does he turn up as a teacher at the college, but has managed to get himself assigned to one of her classes.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: His monologue in "Chainsaw" heavily implies he's carrying some past trauma and secrets of his own. The reveal he lied to Grace about her mother, and even burned down his own home to sever all links to her is apparently part of it, but it's implied he's still hiding more.
* FormerTeenRebel: Present Wes is a bookish and somewhat nerdy man, whose sharp and hasn't dated since Grace's mother died (except Gigi). Its later revealed that when he was a teenage Wes, was a wild reckless party animal, who slept with many different girls.
* HiddenDepths: Despite his bookish and friendly personality, his favorite film is ''Film/TheTexasChainSawMassacre1974''. He likewise loves horror films, and finds much deeper psychological analyses to them than most fans would. Its implied to relate to his past.
* IDidWhatIHadToDo: His reasoning for hiding Grace's mother's past from her. He also burned down his old house to get rid of any evidence of his former life to keep Grace from learning about her mother.
* OfficialCouple: As of "Pumpkin Patch" with Gigi, and later with Dean Munsch in "The Final Girl(s)", after Gigi's death.
* OverprotectiveDad: {{Downplayed|Trope}}. As soon as the killings become public, he shows up on campus and gets a job there. However, despite his fears being quite rational, he's still treated like this by his daughter.
** "Mommie Dearest" reveals he actually burned his own home to the ground, to destroy all links to [[AbusiveParents Grace's]] [[AlphaBitch mother]].
* MadeOfIron: While being stabbed in the arm with a chainsaw clearly causes him pain and disables him for a few minutes, he quickly recovers and regains his senses moments later.
* NiceGuy: Wes is an affable, friendly man.
* OnlySaneMan: One of the few people who react to the killings in a rational and normal manner. Such as assuring his daughter is safe, and being shocked at the Police's casual dismissal of events.
* PlayingGertrude: Oliver Hudson is only 39, but he's playing the father of 21-year-old Skyler Samuels. Justified as of Mommie Dearest, when it is revealed that Wes and Bethany/Mary had Grace while in college.
** Additionally, Grace is supposed to be 18 during the series.
* ReallyGetsAround: Only during his college days, he even stated that he use to be "a bit of a man-slut". As a result, he ended up fathering Grace, Boone, and Hester.
* ShipTease: With Gigi. They connect over their love of TheNineties and end up going off to get some coffee together.
* TranquilFury: His default anger, complete with his voice getting lower and his gaze turning into a KubrickStare. While a cheerful man, he effectively skips all other steps of rage, and goes straight to this.
* WaistcoatOfStyle: His signature look.
* YourSonAllAlong: A DNA test proves that he's the father of Boone and Hester.

The main villain of the show, the identity is shared by several people who harbor a deep-seated hatred towards Kappa Kappa Tau and begin a killing spree wearing the university's school mascot costume... a Red Devil.
----
* AxCrazy: Extremely (if not wantonly) violent, gets points for using an actual axe a few times.
* BadassCape: A large red one.
* TheBadGuyWins: The final Red Devil, Hester, ultimately succeeds in her plan for revenge on the Chanels, and get off with her crimes, scot free.
* BigBad: The main antagonist of the show.
* BigBadDuumvirate: The episode "Chainsaw" shows that there are at least two people sharing Red Devil identity.
* CainAndAbel: Both Boone and Hester are the "Cain" to Grace's "Abel".
* ChainsawGood: Uses it as weapon of choice on several victims on the episode appropriately titled "Chainsaw."
* CleanUpCrew: They serve this function even for the bodies they are not responsible for, making sure they disappear soon after they're killed.
* CreepyTwins: It is revealed that two of the killers were the twins, Boone and Hester.
* TheDragon: The Red Devils appear to be this for Gigi. Until she is murdered.
* FourIsDeath: It is ultimately revealed that there were a total of 4 killers, that were a part of the Red Devil conspiracy. Though Gigi never actually directly killed anyone (while in costume) and Hester apparently only killed her fellow conspirators, Pete and Gigi.
* LackOfEmpathy: Despite all the grisly murders they commit, they show no remorse whatsoever at all for their victims that weren't {{Asshole Victim}}s.
* MadeOfIron: So far none of the devils have been truly that good in a fight, but they recover from a lot of punishment quite quickly.
* MalevolentMaskedMan: He wears a mask that covers his/her entire head, concealing his/her identity.
* NailEm: Kills Roger in the "Seven Minutes in Hell" episode by repeatedly shooting him in the head with a nail gun.
* NonActionGuy: Nearly all of their victims have been able to physically overpower them at some point, only biting it due to their own stupidity or the Devil having a deadly weapon.
* TheQuietOne: Even around Boone and Gigi, their brother and surrogate mother, they never speak. Gigi lampshades this in "Thanksgiving."
* SamusIsAGirl: Played with. The killers are the bathtub babies, Boone and Hester.
* TheStarscream: Murders Gigi, and takes over the mission herself.

* CluelessDetective: Even the most basic jumps of logic seem to much for him.
* DirtyCop: Downplayed, isn't outright corrupt, but is happy to let Dean Munsch drive the investigation into the killings due to her being a respected public figure, and due to him having slept with her in the past.
* TheDitz: Is really not qualified for his job.
* PoliceAreUseless: Fails at every form of police work he is forced to do. And none of the other cops in the town are any better. It's deconstructed in episode 11, where his incompetence gets him and his division fired.

* ChildHater:
* EvenEvilHasStandards:
** Although it is during an OrderedApology, she admits to
#4, Libby Putney, Grace that badmouthing Grace's mother was a pretty horrible thing to do, even by her standards.
* LightisNotGood
* LonelyRichKid: She isn't a very sympathetic example, but it's clear that, underneath it all, she is honestly lonely and miserable.
* MoodSwinger: Prone to this.
* ObviouslyEvil: She's of the pastel-clad, flawless-looking ice-cold sorority princess variant.
* PetTheDog: In "Seven Minutes In Hell", she saved
Gardner, Zayday from the Red Devil.
This leads to her killing
Williams, Jennifer, Sam, Tiffany, Gigi Caldwell, Sophia Doyle, Mandy Greenwell, Amy Meyer, Feather [=McCarthy=], Melanie Dorkus, Ms. Bean.
Bean, Denise, Shondell[[/note]]
* SpoiledBrat: She's a perfect fit.
Whether she meant to actually kill her or just seriously hurt her is unclear, but she clearly embraces it in the following episode, where previews show her affectionally telling
Characters/ScreamQueensWallaceUniversity [[note]]Dean Cathy Munsch, Wes Gardner, Dr. Steven Musnch, Pete Martinez, Coney, Chad how she "killed for love."

->'''Played By:''' Music/ArianaGrande

A Kappa Kappa Tau sister, and one of Chanel #1's minions.
----
* TheAlcoholic: According to her parents, she had problems with this. Though its implied to run in the family.
* AmbiguouslyBrown:

->'''Played By:''' Billie Lourd

* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}:

->'''Played By:''' Creator/AbigailBreslin

* HeteronormativeCrusader: She has the biggest reaction when
Radwell, Boone asks to become the first male "sister" in KKT. She jumps out of her seat and threatens him with violence.
* HiddenDepths:
* TwinThreesomeFantasy: She mentions that she had a threesome with
Clemens, Earl Grey, Roger and Dodger, apparently several times.

[[folder: Sam]]
!!!Sam 'Predatory Lez'
[[quoteright:300:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sam_pic_new.png]]
->'''Played By:''' Jeanna Han

->'''Played By:''' Whitney Meyer

* OffWithHerHead: Via a lawnmower.
* ThePollyanna: She's the only one of the pledges that doesn't lose her optimism and cheerfulness as the hazing continues.

!!!Gigi Caldwell / Jess Meyer

->'''Played By:''' Nasim Pedrad

* ShipTease: With Wes.

->'''Played By:''' [=McKaley=] Miller.

A Kappa Kappa Tau sister who gave birth to fraternal twins in the house in 1995.

* DeathByChildbirth: She apparently bled out after giving birth.
* PlotTriggeringDeath: All the events of the show are heavily implied to be connected to her death and its cover-up.
* SurprisePregnancy: She claims she had no idea she was even pregnant until she started going into labor. She thought she had just gained the "freshmen fifteen."

[[/folder]]

[[folder: Bethany]]
!!!Bethany Stevens / Mary Mulligan
->'''Played By:''' Anna Grace Barlow

----
* {{Archenemy}}: The Dean hates her with a passion.
* WhatAreRecords: She doesn’t know what a radio is, calling it an "[[BuffySpeak old [=iPod=] thing that you plug in and picks up music from the air]]".

->'''Played By:''' Jan Hoag

The housekeeper of the Kappa Kappa Tau sorority house.
----
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Back in 1995, her proposed method to get rid of Sophia's body was to grind it and use the meat to make sausages, which she would then sell at the farmers' market or feed to the KKT sisters.
* KindlyHousekeeper: For putting up with Chanel's crap, she has the patience of a saint.

->'''Played By:''' Niecy Nash

* ThirdPersonPerson: Denise Hemphill seems determined to let everyone know that she is, in fact, Denise Hemphill. (Just holler and she will come a-running!)

* SassyBlackWoman: And just like Denise, it's taken UpToEleven.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: Despite her limited screen time, it's because of her death that gives Denise the motivation to solve the murders.
* ThoseTwoGuys: Was this with Denise.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: Only gets one scene before her unfortunate demise.

[[folder: Chad]]
!!!Chad Radwell
[[quoteright:300:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sq_02_glen_powell_ad_singles_0214_pw.jpg]]
->'''Played By:''' Glen Powell

->'''Played By:''' Nick Jonas

* TheStarscream: Towards Gigi.

->'''Played By:''' Lucien Laviscount

->'''Played By:''' Evan Paley

[[quoteright:300:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sq_01_jamie_lee_curtis_ad_singles_0001_pw43.jpg]]
->'''Played By:''' Creator/JamieLeeCurtis

* SawStarWarsTwentySevenTimes: She's seen ''Film/{{Psycho}}'' fifty times.

->'''Played By:''' Oliver Hudson

* WaistcoatOfStyle: His signature look.
* YourSonAllAlong: A DNA test proves that he's the father of Boone and Hester.

----
* AxCrazy: Extremely (if not wantonly) violent, gets points for using an actual axe a few times.

* TheBadGuyWins: The final
Herman, Red Devil, Hester, ultimately succeeds in her plan for revenge on the Chanels, and get off with her crimes, scot free.

* BullyingTheDragon: She attempts to chastise Boone when he goes off the plan to too many times and causes them more problems, despite knowing full well how [[AxCrazy violent]], [[TheSociopath unstable]] and [[LackOfEmpathy deranged]] Boone really is. Sure enough her efforts end with her only realising just how little control she has in this situation after she's finished speaking. If it wasn't for the other Red Devil, Boone would have killed her. And as it turns out, he did.
