Hilariously, it transpires that she actually shot herself in the leg with her own gun and fell down a flight of stairs according to Dan’s account of events. Credit where it is due, Jackie manages to save some face by claiming that this accident was caused by her grief over seeing so many promising kids waste their potential.

Dan Conner is the husband of Roseanne [[spoiler:(and later, Louise)]] as well as the father of Becky, Darlene, DJ, and Jerry. In the beginning of the series, Dan is an easygoing drywall contractor, but he takes up a variety of jobs (interspersed with period of unemployment) to keep the family afloat.

* NeverMessWithGranny: In the same scene mentioned directly above, a still drunk Becky attempts to snatch her keys from Jackie. Jackie, a former cop, immediately and coolly puts her into a restraint hold, and is only called off by Dan's intervention.

Beverly Rose Conner is the daughter of Becky Conner and Emilio Rodriguez and one of the newest Conner descendants.

Bev is the mother of Roseanne and Jackie and the wife of Al, as well as the daughter of Nana Mary. She is overbearing and shrill and is avoided by all members of her family. She nags them with her shockingly whiny voice, often with good intentions but coming off the wrong way.

Andy Harris is the infant son of Jackie and Fred, nephew of Dan and Roseanne Conner, and cousin of Darlene, Becky, D.J., Jerry, and Harris.
