* HateSink: Maya Lottie, in truth, [[Franchise/CthulhuMythos Nyarlathotep]], orchestrates the events of the fanfic by giving Lana the Necronomicon after she compelled Charles into walking into the way of a passing car. She was also responsible for the deaths of Patrick Stark's family, taking the form of his older daughter out of mockery, and enslaves him. She then steals the souls of Leni and Lola and despite agreeing to free them if she were given the Necronomicon, Maya tosses the souls of the girls into a rip in space-time anyway.

Added DiffLines:

* AdaptationalWimp: As his true form is still locked out of our reality, only a fracture of it can exist in our world. While still more powerful than humans naturally, other Earth-bound Outer Gods can serve as a competitor due to Yog-Sothoth's physical avatars being weaker.

Added DiffLines:

* TheSociopath: While more logical and emotionless, Yog-Sothoth lacks remorse for his actions and in the sequel subjects a young Cthulhu to torturous training and mutilation to use him as a weapon against Hastur. While he has a brief moment where he felt compassion for his adopted son, he nevertheless quashes that feeling by putting Cthulhu in the path of Shoggoths.

Added DiffLines:

* SealedGoodInACan: Of his own volition, Cthulhu opts to return to his sunken city of R'lyeh with no indication that he'd damn the human race.

* TheBully: What Nyarlathotep truly is at heart. He's nothing more than a narcissistic sociopath who has a high view of himself to cover for the crippling insecurity he suffers. Not fearing him or catering to his ego is enough to make him act like a bratty teenager despite being older than time itself.

Added DiffLines:

* TheDevilIsALoser: No one gives Nyarlathotep any respect. Even if he has followers, it's really because he's using hypnotism on them to force them to do whatever he wants.
