* AdaptationalHeroism: While not a villain, Hayate’s anime counterpart is a bit different than his manga counterpart in terms of how he handled the situation with Takako. In the anime Takako became the Princess of Disaster [[spoiler:because Hayate rejected her]] whereas in the manga she became the Princess of Disaster [[spoiler:because he lied about having feelings for her]]. While both are sad situations, his actions in the former are ''nowhere'' near as bad as in the latter.
