Sherlina didn't survive, leaving him all alone.

Manliness personified, Michael is a huge tough guy who works for the LAPD. He is ruthless and hates criminals with a burning passion. Interrogations with him are extremely rough and painful (for the criminals, that is). If you've broken the law and see him coming for you, ''pray'', because that's all you can do.
That is Michael when he's doing his job. When off-duty, he pulls a complete 180 on his personality, becoming a sweet dad who loves his family. That isn't to say that he's not tough anymore, he still is, but he shows that, beneath all his muscle, there's a heart of gold underneath.

Sherlina didn't survive, leaving him all alone.
Now without his family, Artman became depressed. Almost all of his relationships went downhill, to the point he decided that romantic relationships weren't worth the effort and became the hypersexual robot we know him as today.
