Beyond the A-Class of the Hero Association is a group of heroes whose power far surpasses that of the ordinary human: S-Class. A scene in episode 10 of the anime confirms this, with her naked butt viewable from an angle. However, in the original webcomic, King claimed to have seen her panties once, so it may be just a stylistic choice.

* BigSisterInstinct: You should NEVER mess with her sister Fubuki. When Garou said [[spoiler:he killed Fubuki]], let's just say she got incredibly pissed. However, it also has a darker side in that Tornado protecting Fubuki since she was little has in fact contributed to her sister's problems if not having been the cause of them. In other words, overprotective.
* BloodKnight: As shown in the bonus chapter "Tatsumaki's Day Off". When she actually gets a day off from fighting powerful monsters, she quickly gets bored and actually starts ''looking for monsters to kill''. Turns out she enjoys doing it a lot more than she appears, as she almost goes nuts when she keeps finding monsters already slaughtered by Saitama before she finally manages to nail a small-fry monster to sate her boredom.
* BornWinner: This is basically the reason she's S-Class Hero Rank 2 - she was BORN with the level of power she has.

* DestructiveSaviour: Tatsumaki doesn’t know how to hold back, in fact she doesn’t want to, her advances against Monsters and anything that faces her way is of immense proportions, this has caused collateral damage more than once; with that also comes Tatsumaki not caring for any of the trouble her rampages has caused, ignoring warnings from her colleagues and staff from the Hero Association. Then when it tells her nothing short of a meteor can kill it, she uses her powers to just nonchalantly ''pull one out of space'' and literally liquefies the monster with it. That's Tatsumaki in a nutshell: Cool and composed one moment, shouting at someone like a bratty kid half her age the next.

* FatalFlaw: Pride. She is a really firm believer of the class system within the Hero Organization and believes skill should match as such. Her pride also makes her think that she's a really good sister to Fubuki, when in fact a lot of her actions have damaged their relationship.
* {{Flight}}: With her psychic aura, she can fly. She seems to prefer hovering over walking as well. Not to mention that she can also launch herself at high speeds that form thick trails in the sky whenever she goes.

Considering this is Tornado we're talking about, her saying her sister belongs in S-Rank with her might be a stealth compliment.
* GoingCommando: Many shots in Murata's re-draws and the anime seem to imply she wears nothing BUT her dress. A scene in episode 10 of the anime confirms this, with her naked butt viewable from an angle. However, in the original webcomic, King claimed to have seen her panties once, so it may be just a stylistic choice.
* GoodIsNotNice: The only reason she's not more of an anti-hero is that, despite the way she acts, she does seem to genuinely want to help people and that she does love her sister.

She once called down a meteor from space, and sent an entire volley of huge bullets back up to the alien ship that shot them. She also uses her psychokinesis to float and fly.
