! The Eight Flames
The Eight Flames was an assassin organization in The Oasis that worked under V, a former Brother of The Aeons. They assassins (many which have been trained since childhood) are hired and paid to kill whoever the contractor asks for. To assist in these missions, each Flame is given an animal companion that can become stronger at their master’s beck and call.
When V is killed, [[spoiler: Hemlock decides to reform The Eight Flames to become a mercenary group that does off-the-books jobs for marines and most others who pay them. They also got themselves a new base in a gigantic ship compared to a floating naval base.]]

* AnimalCompanion: Each Flame in both iterations have an animal/animals they take care of and use in combat.
** When [[spoiler: Hemlock takes over the Eight Flames, due to not having access to V’s technology the New Eight Flames animal companions are now mostly mundane animals in supporting roles.]]
* TheBeastmaster: Their animal companions are very loyal to their masters and many fight alongside their master with great efficiency.
* BroughtDownToNormal: Yaki, Blaze, the robotic chicken and Hemlock’s snakes lost their special abilities with the press of one of V’s buttons.
