* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: Takumi realizes the tremendous pain he had caused Reira by kissing and having sex with her despite not reciprocating her feelings just so he could keep her singing for Trapnest. He also realizes that cutting her off from Shin, the only person who had actually supported her emotional needs, may have done more damage to Reira than good. This causes him to confront Reira about how she truly feels and then arrange a meet-up with Shin once he had been released from prison. [[spoiler:Ren dies on the way to bring back Reira, so Takumi's plan doesn't exactly work out.]]

* SpottingTheThread: Takumi was able to figure out Reira and Shin were in a relationship when he realizes Reira was wearing Shin's Vivienne Westwood lighter necklace. Shin tries to mislead him by saying that Reira may have gotten it as a gift from a fan, until Takumi reveals that the serial code on the lighter was the same.

** Takumi rightfully encourages both Reira and Shin to end their relationship with each other, as Shin is a minor. However, he is only concerned about how it would destroy Reira's reputation and hardly recognizes how Shin was the only person who had been filling the emotional void that he had left and only lets up when Reira tries to force her feelings on him.

* MarriedToTheJob: As the leader of Trapnest, he wants his band to stay on top as long as possible. Trapnest comes first. [[spoiler:This contributes greatly with his relationship troubles with Reira, who is the band's singer and is in unrequited love with Takumi, and Nana K., who is his pregnant fiancee and later wife who he constantly leaves alone due to his obligations and Reira.]]

* SpottingTheThread: Takumi was able to figure out Reira and Shin were in a relationship when he realizes the Vivienne Westwood lighter she wore one day belonged to him.

* FatalFlaw: Her jealousy towards Trapnest's success and the resentment she sometimes feels towards Ren because of it. She continuously pushes him away because of this, which causes a painful back-and-forth of emotional highs and lows for her and Ren.

From that point on, he dominates Hachi’s interaction with the rest of the group, and proceeds to use her as a means to disrupt everyone’s lives. He breaks up her’s and Nana’s living arrangements. He crushes the confidence of another band member who was interested in her. While its all an obvious power grab, he’s constantly marketing his actions as “for the good of everyone.”]]
