* LackofEmpathy: Downplayed. He truly cares for his fellow liberation members and mourns them for their deaths. However, he is completely devoid of the damage his group would have on the world or the chaos they will cause, which would result in countless lives lost for their so-called desire of liberation.

** Trying to kill Toga in order to [[spoiler:avenge Curious]]? Understandable. Creating puppet Twices in order to take advantage of the real Twice's [[CloningBlues tramua]], forcing the real Twice to watch his puppet variants try and snap Toga's neck, and then breaking the real Twice's arms when he tries to fight back? All done with the ultimate goal of forcing Twice to join the Meta Liberation Army against his will? Not so much.

* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: Re-Destro's Quirk is formidable. He can easily swat his enemies and [[SuperToughness survive an entire building collapsing on him]]. Re-Destro even cripples Shigaraki's left hand with absurd ease.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: Re-Destro destroys a chunk of Shigaraki's left hand along with some fingers, then proceeds to [[ReasonYouSuckSpeech criticize]] the latter for his lack of vision, causing Shigaraki to remember painful memories. * {{Foil}}: Like previous {{Arc Villain}}s [[KnightTemplar Stain]] and [[TheStrategist Overhaul]] before him, Re-Destro serves as a counterpoint to [[BigBad Shigaraki]] to show the next roadblock to his story of becoming the ultimate villain. Re-Destro is a VisionaryVillain to the latter's {{omnicidal|Maniac}} [[StrawNihilist nihlism]] -- which has allowed him to build an enormous following in comparison to the modest membership of the League. Adding to this, both Re-Destro and Shigaraki were raised to carry on the legacy of past villains who have fallen out of public view, but while Re-Destro is well aware of his heritage and considers it a point of pride, Shigaraki suffers from TraumaInducedAmnesia and can barely remember his life before meeting All For One. Adding further to this, both use destruction to get what they want, but while Re-Destro considers his destruction meaningful and necessary to further the MLA's goals, Shigaraki destroys for his own pleasure and has no goals to destroy for.

However, she and Toga are also polar opposites in other areas: where Toga does so [[StalkerWithACrush out of a warped]] [[{{Yandere}} concept of love]] and has the common sense to [[KnowWhenToFoldEm not let it get in the way of basic self-preservation]], Curious is [[IntrepidReporter more interested in using that information]] [[PropagandaMachine for her own purposes]] and is so focused on GoingForTheBigScoop that she deliberately puts herself in an extremely dangerous [[spoiler:and ultimately fatal]] situation.

Both are villains, but Trumpet is a charismatic politician with a transmitter Quirk, placing him at the top of the social latter, while Spinner is a Hikikomori with a heteromorphic Quirk, placing him at the bottom. Both are {{Support Party Member}}s, but while Trumpet uses his Quirk to [[StatusBuff buff]] his subordinates from a distance, Spinner uses his [[FightsLikeANormal combat abilities]] and [[{{Determinator}} sheer willpower]] to act as physical support. Finally, both are followers who have clung to another person's dream. But while Spinner fully accepts this part of himself and is okay with it, Trumpet thoroughly denies that the two of them share this quality.

* {{Foil}}: To [[TheHeart Twice]]: Both are [[LaughablyEvil humourous]] individuals who are [[BewareTheSillyOnes more dangerous than they appear]] and both possess Quirks which allow them to [[DopplegangerAttack create]] [[PerversePuppet minions]]. However, they are also polar opposites in other areas:
** Where Twice is AffablyEvil, Skeptic is an InsufferableGenius.
** Twice's clones are fully independent, while Skeptic's puppets are completely subservient to him.
** Twice is something of a psychological wreck, while Skeptic is an IT genius. This aspect gets flipped on its head as well: [[spoiler:Twice ends up undergoing SanityStrengthening when he learns he's the real Twice and not just a clone, while the same event causes Skeptic's VillainousBreakdown.]]

But Dabi acts as TheDragon in League of Villains, while Geten acts as TheBrute in the MLA and while Dabi is an AloofAlly to the League of Villains who [[DragonWithAnAgenda has little loyalty]] to them, Geten has an UndyingLoyalty to Re-Destro and the rest of the Meta Liberation Army.
