Added DiffLines:

* GadgeteerGenius: Setsuna is a Mobile Suit pilot first and foremost; despite this he's capable of some surprisingly impressive feats of engineering. Not only was he fully capable of keeping the severely damaged Exia fully functional for 4 years, but understood the working of the 00 enough to not only jump-start it for it's first sortie, but even keep it in solid condition during his separation from the Ptolemy during part of Season 2. He's good enough at MS repair that [[spoiler: he's fully capable of transplanting one of the 00's GN Drives into the Exia R2 ''all by himself'' with no issues or hassle.]]

Added DiffLines:

* Hidden Depths: Even during Season 1, Young Setsuna is more aware of the feelings of the people surrounding him than even they are, usually being the first one to spurn the rest into making crucial decisions even before becoming the leader of the Meisters in Season 2
** There are multiple examples of him maintaining and repairing his personal MS off-screen far beyond what a pilot, let alone a person his age, would be expected to even be capable of doing (Keeping a broken Exia functional for 4 years, transplanting a GN Drive from one machine to another) without any help to the point where he could almost be mistaken for a Mobile Suit Engineer in his own right. It's even implied that he was hands-on involved in [[spoiler:the 00 Qan[t]'s development.]]

* HotBlooded: at first glance, you would think he's one of the most stoic Gundam Protagonists next to Mikazuki Augus. In truth, he's generally very quiet only when he's not in a pilot's seat, Once he's in combat, or fully resolved, he's almost indistinguishable from the classic SuperRobot pilot, if not moreso.

* BackpackCannon: Starting with Seravee, Tieria's auxiliary Gundams provide powerful, over-the-shoulder beam cannons in their backpack configuration.

* MightyGlacier: Tieria's Gundams are all bulky tankers with overwhelming firepower and an auxillary mode to handle more spry tasks.

** Setsuna is still traumatized by his past and has dedicated himself fully to Celestial Being's ideals to the point where he pretty much has no social skills.

** Setsuna is still traumatized by his past and has dedicated himself fully to Celestial Being's ideals to the point where he pretty much has no social skills. A good deal of his development in season 1 revolves around toning down his fervor to the point of being able to interact with his fellow Meisters not just as soldiers, but as people in their own right.

* CodeName: Setsuna and Lockon use code names. [[spoiler:Allelujah uses his real name, as the closest thing he has to a legal name is just a serial number. Tieria, having never existed independent of Celestial Being, also uses his real name.]]

* MaybeEverAfter: [[spoiler: With Feldt. * CelibateHero: He develops a close relationship with Marina, but when asked if they are dating, they both matter-of-factly deny it. However, when Feldt gives Setsuna a flower, he implies that he's aware that she is flirting with him and he doesn't reject her advances. However, two years later in the movie, he's mostly oblivious to Feldt's flirting.

* CharacterDevelopment: Over the course of the show, he goes from emotionally repressed, to still stoic, but more caring. His aloofness is now more out of being a veteran of combat and he even dispenses advice to both Saji and Lyle that get them out of their respective funks. Essentially, he's cooler.

to:

* CharacterDevelopment: Over Arguably one of the most drastically developed main characters in all of Gundam:
** Season 1 Setsuna is the quintessential devout child soldier, only replacing religious reverence for worshipping the idea what a Gundam is supposed to be to the point of ''declaring himself one.'' His relationship with the rest of Celestial Being outside of Lockon and Lasse is strictly professional (and all but outright hostile when it comes to Tieria). His experiences throughout
the course of events lead him to actively question his own world view, actually care about his comrades outside of the show, mission, and his desire to find answers for himself indirectly lead the rest of his fellow Meisters to reevaluate their own attitudes.
** Season 2 Setsuna is far more mellowed out and matured, to the point where his infamous ''I am Gundam'' catchphrase isn't uttered once. Now the unquestioned leader of the Gundam Meisters, everyone trusts his judgement calls implicitly and Tieria, the Meister
he goes from emotionally repressed, once got along with the least, is his unofficial second in command and closest thing he has to a best friend. While he's still very much the stoic, but more caring. His aloofness is now more out of being a veteran of combat he's far warmer and he even dispenses advice easier to both Saji and interact with, if still incredibly blunt (even able to raise Lyle that get them and Allelujah out of their respective funks. Essentially, he's cooler.funks), and willing and able to make hard decisions while accepting the possible consequences. He starts the season admitting that Celestial Being is responsible for the current state of the world and looks to fix the distortions their actions have caused, realizes he needs to change himself if he wants to to make an actual difference, and ends the series having come to terms with the weight of all his actions and far more compassionate towards not just the people around him, but the world as a whole.
