* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: A minor moment for Tooru when she is thankful [[spoiler:Kobayashi calls at her during the fight with Iruru. Before then, Tooru had become so annoyed with the other dragon's attacks, she is considering it fine to allow as many humans to die so long as Iruru is defeated and Kobayashi is not harmed. She knows she can never allow herself to think like that]].
* NinjaMaid: Tooru might be the strongest example ever. Most maids don't have the power to warp reality and blow up cities.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: The original fan translations use "Tooru" while the official Creator/SevenSeasEntertainment version uses "Tohru".
* YourSizeMayVary: Tooru's dragon form ranges in size from "a small house" to "a single claw is bigger than a car". Possibly justified by the fact that shapeshifting has been established as one of her powers from the very beginning.

A young dragon who was banished to Earth for pulling pranks. Kobayashi takes her in as a surrogate daughter of sorts.

[[UndeadTaxExemption The fact that she's a dragon from another world with no legal identity]] gets solved by Tooru using magic to create the necessary paperwork. While the school setting rarely shows up afterwards, her new friend Saikawa ends up becoming a recurring character.
* ParentalNeglect: Kanna's parents took a very hands off approach to raising her, under the logic of "dragons grow stronger by themselves". As a result, she started pulling pranks to get attention (which got her exiled). This is why she clings to Kobayashi as a ParentalSubstitute.
* ShockAndAwe: She mentions at one point that she can generate electricity.
