* AmbiguousGender: Es' gender is redacted from their information and described as 'unknown'. They have a female voice actress, but an androgynous voice that sounds somewhat like a young boy's, and they have been called "Es-kun" by Shidou and "Suu-kun" by Mikoto (-kun is an honorific typically but not always used for boys).

Added DiffLines:

* CopycatMockery: To Es, in "Deep Cover". Kotoko's outfit in the music video is a huge visual callback to Es' uniform, and the way she sings about the prisoners brings to mind Es' own image song "Undercover". Symbolically, it represents her desire to act as the fangs of justice, but considering she also has no kind words to say about Es in any of the supplementary materials, it could easily read as her propping herself up as the true warden and giver of punishment.

Added DiffLines:

* SanitySlippage: Hinted. "Deep Cover" has her start giving into her bloodlust over her sense of justice, and from her crazed expression near the end of the video, she's well aware that it's messing her mind up.

Added DiffLines:

* HatesEveryoneEqually: She doesn't like any of the prisoners. Her second song, "Deep Cover", reflects this by her mocking all of the prisoners in the first few verses and outright spewing vile at even the ones voted Forgiven in the first round.

Added DiffLines:

* SlutShaming: Kotoko refers to Yuno as a "slut" in "Deep Cover", with this representing the trait she hates the most about her.

** Season 2 has her veer in the DarkActionGirl direction after becoming..."physically antagonistic" towards her fellow prisoners, this time hardly in the name of protecting others.

Most of the things present in the rule of three statement appear to be more so coincidence than actual hints. The evidence is shaky at best and you could make the same claim for any other character, as 3 is a commonly used number when it comes to art and stuff

* RuleOfThree: 3's are a common motif when it comes to Mikoto, which is typically speculated by the fans to represent the amount of victims or alters in his system.
** His prisoner number, 009, is 3*3.
** On his straitjacket, has three rows of belts on the sleeves, as well as a grid of three vertically and horizontally aligned belts at the bottom.
** The character "Mi" (ミ) in his name when written in katakana originates from the character "San" (三), meaning three.
** Has the third blood type.
** His first MV has backgrounds of primarily three colors: red, green and blue.
** "[=MeMe=]" features three separate Tarot spreads.
** There are three separate colors of flowers on Mikoto's birthday cake art, two of them being the same kind of flower.
** The CD cover for "[=MeMe=]" features three skulls in the corner.
** A shot of Mikoto's mindspace in "[=MeMe=]" shows two Tarot cards face up, the Hanged Man and the Fool, as well as a card face down.
** The Tarot card back design in "[=MeMe=]" has three ovals of varying sizes.
** Futa's second MV, "Backdraft", has three red paint strokes covering Mikoto's silhouette, unlike any of the other prisoners, who have one.
** Minor design choices in "[=MeMe=]" that feature a 3 or 2+1 motif, like the amount of seating spots in Mikoto's mindspace or number of lit up banners in the background of the murder scene.
**
** Speculated by the fans in-universe to be a birthday cake for Mikoto's alter John, the congratulatory cake for the MILGRAM project's first birthday held by who is implied to be Mikoto's alter in the opening of episode 25 "MINIGRAM's" of the MINIGRAM manga has three sparklers.
Notedly, in Mikoto's Trial 2 music video .
