** He also has elements of other Mega Man main antagonists. King's relationship with Jack and Queen Tia(who are Prometheus and Pandora expies), makes him homologous to [[VideoGame/MegaManZX Master Albert]]. His plan to take over Meteor G, [[spoiler: and when that doesn't exactly work, fusing with the Crimson Dragon]], are very similar Albert’s plan to revive Model W as Ouroboros, and using it to become Mega Man W. They both even use [spoiler: Draconic forms(well Albert's first form is a dragon/hydra [[BishonenLine at least]])]] when we fight them. Meanwhile, his role in creation of the Noise technology and the Ace and Joker programs, traveling in a hovering vehicle, makes him similar to [[VideoGame MegaManClassic Dr. Wily]]. King's interactions with Jack, are also pretty similar to that of Willy with Bass. His plan of using Meteor G as a KillSat, and when that fails, [[spoiler: planning to crash it into Earth, and kill-off humanity]], are nearly identical to [[VideoGame/MegaManZero Dr. Weil's]] plans with Ragnarok. Both also [[spoiler: fuse with their respective space objects]], at the end of the game. Mr. King's plans with Metor G, also make him similar to [[VideoGame/MegaManX Sigma]], in VideoGame/MegaManX4 and VideoGame/MegaManX5, and both share almost identical facial markings. Last, but not least, his role as leader of a crime syndicate, with adopted children, makes him similar to [[VideoGame/MegaManBattleNetwork Lord Wily]]. He's especially similar to Beyonard counterpart of Lord Wily, from the Beast Season of Anime/MegaManNTWarrior, with him [[spoiler: fusing and possessing the Crimson Dragon, like Wily did with the Super Cyber Beast]]. In his concept arts, he also looks much more similar to both versions of Wily.

* AwesomeYetPractical: Laplace can become the Laplace Blade whether or not Solo is running around as Rogue. Solo generally prefers to be in Wave Form, as it would naturally allow him to take greater advantages of the Laplace Blade's abilities.

Like Zero is in the beginning X's mentor, he one of sorts to Geo, likes swords, [[spoiler: he has a dark secret past like Zero, being a ex-member of Dealer, Mr. King's adopted son, like Zero was Wily's created one. He's mind controlled/turned AxCrazy to fight against the heroes, like Zero in VideoGame/MegaManX2 and VideoGame/MegaManX5, and shares Zero's penchard for HeroicSacrifice]]. But he's in general much more cheerful person than Zero.

** She's also noted to be similar to Shuko Kido, The two are older than the protagonist, have unpleasant past lives, have little brothers , work as a teacher, and have water element. Althrough Tia is more like a EvilCounterpart of Shuko.
