* BadAss: Hell yes.
** BadassNormal: Even when not using his Palladium Whips, he manages to be extremely badass and dangerous with his hacking skills alone.

* GeniusBruiser

to:

* GeniusBruiserEloquentInMyNativeTongue: He's not terribly fluent in English, and comes off as difficult to understand. [[OrIsIt Or...he just does that on purpose to put people off-guard.]]
* GeniusBruiser: Considered to be even smarter than Tony Stark.
* MagnificentBastard

Rockwell
-->'''Film Appearances''': ''Iron Man 2''

CEO of Hammer Industries, and a (self-perceived) rival of Tony Stark. He forges a temporary alliance with Ivan Vanko, but the latter just makes use of his resources - not taking him seriously at all. An all-around obnoxious loser.

* ChaoticStupid: Tries hard to be the ChaoticEvil, but is essentially too stupid to pull it off.

* MadeOfExplodium: His buster-bunker "Ex-Wife" miniature rocket is supposedly extremely explosive. [[DudExMachina It doesn't work.]]
* MoreDakka

The Norse God of Mischief/Lies. mischief and lies. [[spoiler: Actually, In truth, he is a Frost Giant adopted by Odin and raised by them, though]].as his son]]. This revelation begins his StartOfDarkness.

* ArchEnemy: To Thor.
* BadAss: Quite so. [[WordOfGod Hiddleston]] has stated that he cranks the badassery factor UpToEleven in The Avengers.
** BadassInANiceSuit: Dresses impeccably when hiding amongst humans.
* BigBad: Of Thor, and very potentially of The Avengers as well.
* TheChessmaster: THE chessmaster.
* ConsummateLiar: Comes with the territory of being the ''God of Lies and Mischief.''
* EvilSorcerer

* EvilSorcerer

* EvilSorcerer
MasterOfIllusion
* NotQuiteDead: The epilogue of Thor reveals that he's alive and well within human society, and he returns in The Avengers more badass than ever.
* StartOfDarkness: Compared to where Thor over time becomes a better man, Loki becomes more evil and menacing.
* TookALevelInBadass: Going through a wormhole has apparently given him one hell of a steel edge. He was initially relatively badass, being a God and all, but by The Avengers, is considered to be exponentially more dangerous.
