* ContrastingSequelAntagonist: To President Haltmann. Both are the leader of the game's main antagonistic faction (the Haltmann Works Company and the Jambastion Cult) who seek to reawaken a powerful being that they worship (Star Dream and Void Termina) and fight Kirby themselves before the GreaterScopeVillain is released, eventually getting absorbed into the FinalBoss themselves. However, whereas Haltmann simply wanted to use Star Dream to see his daughter again and ultimately gets assimilated into the Mother Computer because Susie made the machine go haywire, Hyness let his goal of reviving Void Termina turn into a insane wish to avenge his clan for being banished to the edge of the galaxy by reviving Void as a GodOfEvil to destroy everything, and willingly sacrifices himself into the Jamba Heart to revive Void. Finally, whereas Haltmann ultimately dies after Star Dream is destroyed, Hyness gets to live in the end thanks to [[spoiler:being freed from his corrupted state]].

Added DiffLines:

* ContrastingSequelAntagonist: To Star Dream. Both are powerful beings that are worshipped by the main villains of the game (President Haltmann and Hyness) who are ultimately driven insane from their influence (Star Dream erases most of Haltmann's memories while the Jamba Heart Void was sealed in drives Hyness mad). They then assimilate the BigBad for the final battle (Haltmann unwillingly fuses his mind with Star Dream while Hyness forcibly sacrifices himself to revive Void Termina) and progressively get stronger as the fight goes on (Star Dream merges with the Access Ark to reveal its true form while Void Termina grows wings, and later reveals his core), while their OneWingedAngel forms heavily suggest that they are related to one of the important characters (Star Dream is heavily implied to be another Nova, while void Termina is implied to be related to Kirby and maybe even ''Dark Matter''). However, whereas Star Dream eventually turns into a cold, destructive machine hellbent on destroying organic life through merging minds with Haltmann, Void Termina gradually grows more and more sentient as Kirby's positive influence starts to affect him, eventually willing to stop destroying everything in favor of enjoying life.

* {{Reincarnation}}: The description for Void Soul suggests that the form he reincarnates depending in depends on what energies were used to summon him. Additionally, the names of the second and fourth movements of his theme, along with the BossSubtitles of his true form, "Astral Birth", implies that Void Termina as seen during the main story hadn't fully reincarnated, likely due to Hyness screwing up the ritual.
