It all reaches a boiling point as he proceeds to transform while in the dragon world, his obssession with Anaëlle blinding him even further and causing him to ignore her pleas and kill her father before she could explain everything. Finally fed up, Anaëlle calls him out on not respecting her wishes, making him realize that he was obssessively in love with his idealized version of her rather than actually respecting and trying to understand her.
