Passione is one of the most powerful gangs in Italy, operating from Naples and controlling the drug trade. Despite having less than one thousand members, they have a high number of Stand Users.

* AgentPeacock: Flamboyant outfits are the norm in Passione rather than the exception, but someone being a member of Passione means they probably also have a powerful Stand, so you'd be wise to take them seriously.

* DrugsAreBad: Giorno infiltrates the gang to stop them from selling drugs to children.
* EdibleThemeNaming: Almost every member of the gang is named after food, which might elicit some snickers from Italian-speaking viewers.
* EqualOpportunityEvil: Age and sexuality aren't obstacles to joining the gang, as long as you pass the Stand arrow test; multiple teenage boys and at least four openly gay men are on Passione's payroll. That said, the gang doesn't seem to have any female members (although there's no mention of women specifically being barred from membership), unless you count the non-canon ''LightNovel/PurpleHazeFeedback.''
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: They might be hardened gangsters and criminals, but even the members of Passione have it in them to care about someone. La Squadra are driven by a desire to avenge their murdered comrades [[spoiler:who were savagely executed by Cioccolata under Diavolo's orders]], and Tiziano and Squalo are in a loving relationship. [[spoiler:Even Diavolo himself seemed to care about Donatella to some extent, although killing their daughter wasn't off the table for him.]]
* OddNameOut: A few members break the trend of EdibleThemeNaming, namely Luca, Pericolo, Illuso, Ghiaccio, Squalo, and Tiziano.
* RealMenWearPink: The men of Passione wear some of the most flamboyant outfits and styles in the entire series, including the various CleavageWindow[=s=], Giorno's hot pink suit, Illuso's pigtails, Narancia's skirt, Bucciarati's hairclips and whatever the hell Melone is wearing. Doesn't mean they aren't capable of brutally murdering you.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: It seems to be the fashion among Passione members to wear an outfit that bares part of the chest. Most of La Squadra Esecuzioni and half of Bucciarati's team follow the trend.
* WouldHurtAChild: No enemy from inside Passione has any reservations about trying to kill Bucciarati's squad, even though three of them are teenagers. Less directly, the gang is also willing to sell drugs to children, which Giorno is trying to stop.

The underboss of Passione, not that he looks like it or even acts like it. Unlike the other members of Passione, Doppio is overall polite and very loyal and only ever acts like his subordinates when upset. He communicates with Diavolo over telephone...or so he thinks -- anyone observing him will see that he's actually speaking into an ice cream cone, or a frog, or some other strange object. Despite that, he's actually very capable in a battle despite his lack of abilities in combat.

His Stand (named after a song by Music/KingCrimson) is on lend from his boss: Epitaph allows Doppio to see up to ten seconds into the future and then react accordingly, allowing him to change the outcomes as far as who gets hit with what. He can also summon King Crimson's arms for self-defense, but he cannot skip time to his advantage.

Doppio is in reality a split personality of Diavolo, which explains how he can use King Crimson's Epitaph ability. Diavolo remains hidden away in Doppio's subconscious but still pretends to call him on the "phone", directing his actions. Diavolo only shows his true self when Doppio is in danger of revealing his own identity.

* AffablyEvil: A pleasant young man who's willing to help total strangers while also simultaneously working for one of the most brutal crime lords in Italy who is slowly poisoning the nation with illegal drugs, on top of being the SplitPersonality of that said crime boss.
* AlasPoorVillain: Doppio was left to die alone in Bucciarati's body, waiting for his Boss to reassure him like always and begs for Diavolo to call him.
* AmnesiaLoop: Appears to be the case, and not even Diavolo's fault for once, because Doppio's memory is ridiculously faulty. For example, Diavolo warns Doppio of Risotto Nero, teaches him a strategy to fight him, tells him to investigate the house Donatella lived in, and then hangs up. Doppio then forgets ''in one panel'' that he had the phone conversation and every single order he was given except for the "get within two meters of Risotto and kill him" part. Later on, he sacrifices his current "phone" in order to get an attack in on Risotto, only to realize after his monologue he's phoneless... and again, in one panel, forgets his phone was destroyed and questions why there's a frog filled with razors right in front of him.
* AntiVillain: He'd probably be a pretty nice guy if he wasn't part of Passione and Diavolo's split personality.
* BareYourMidriff: Due to how his sweater is designed. Helps when Diavolo needs a quick switch.
* BerserkButton: Just like his Boss, he's not especially fond of having people figuring out his identity. The danger of it being revealed is what triggers his personality switching to Diavolo's.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: You may think he's not much judging by his quirky traits and overall timidness, but once Diavolo takes over he becomes violent and erratic. And even as Doppio, he has no qualms with killing people in cold blood.
* {{Bishonen}}: He's around/looks like 17, so he's no older than the protagonists. He's even voiced by Creator/AkiraIshida in ''All-Star Battle'' and Creator/SomaSaito in the anime.
* BodyHorror: When he uses Epitaph, the first time it manifests, the smaller face ''visibly grows out of Doppio's forehead''.
* BullyingADragon: Diavolo does not take kindly to those pressuring Doppio, and anyone trying to is in for a [[MuggingTheMonster nasty surprise]]; most notably of all, Diavolo appeared to be forcibly restraining himself from emerging when Secco attempted to take Doppio hostage, then slapped him; the only hint that he was about to turn at that time was his eyes, and his hairstyle slightly unseating itself.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: At least, to those around him. Whenever he "gets a call" from Diavolo, he practically falls into a trance, stumbling away with a blank expression as he imitates the sound of a phone ringing, only to snap back periodically and question where the noise is supposed to come from.
* CombatClairvoyance: Has a limited version of this granted to him by his boss. Epitaph's ability isn't complete; it can only see specific moments in time as opposed to King Crimson foreseeing everything that happens during the predicted time, and also lacks [=KC's=] ability to remove everyone's perception of the predicted time.
* TheConsigliere: This is his official rank in Passione, meaning that he is second only to Diavolo himself. Even though he is fairly capable with a dangerous ability, he is an extremely unusual example of this trope as he appears relatively younger and more naive as opposed to the more hardened but lower-ranked members. What makes it even more unusual is that since Doppio is a split personality of Diavolo, this means that Diavolo in effect served as ''his own Consigliere.''
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Despite being a bit of an idiot and an UnwittingPawn to his own SplitPersonality Doppio was able to cut of Risotto's foot and was able to take him on before Diavolo had to take over showing that he is more dangerous then he initially seems.
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: In the colored manga, Doppio has pink hair to go with pink eyes. This is only ever played straight, however, when Doppio or Bucciarati control Diavolo's body.
* CuteAndPsycho: He's really scary when he's angry or when Diavolo hijacks the conversation.
* TheDragon: Played with in a few ways: His position is largely assumed and it's only likely that he's the underboss due to Diavolo's care. Although Giorno and his allies planned to overthrow Diavolo, they never targeted Doppio and his authority is never proven because he keeps away from other members of Passione. In fact, despite being one of the few who actually communicates with Diavolo, Risotto Nero had ''no idea'' who he was until Doppio accidentally revealed he was a Stand user. For the most part, he's just Diavolo's gopher. He also ''is'' Diavolo, but doesn't realize it.
* DualAgeModes: From 17-year old into 33-year old Diavolo.
* DubNameChange: In the Italian translation his first name is Aceto, which is actually Italian and is close to the actual Italian surname of "Aceti"[[note]]someone who sells or makes vinegar[[/note]].
* EarlyBirdCameo: Is the one who orders Squalo and Tiziano to move in on Bucciarati's group in the anime at the end of Episode 21.
* EdibleThemeNaming: "Vinegar", obviously. A "Doppio", on the other hand, is an espresso that by the use of a special coffee filter is twice the size of a regular "solo" espresso.
* EvilCounterpart: He is one to Trish. Both have a deep connection with their team's boss (Doppio to Diavolo, Trish to Bucciarati), have their Stands awakened in the middle of a heated battle with a member of La Squadra, and are central to Diavolo's plans to rid himself of his past. Both resort to disguise to get as far as they do: Trish initially disguises as a janitor before being handed off to Bucciarati's gang, while [[spoiler:Doppio ''[[SplitPersonality is]]'' the disguise for Diavolo to directly get rid of evidence (though Doppio himself is unaware of it).]] Additionally, they both can be considered Diavolo's family: Trish is this by blood, being his illegitimate daughter and all, while Doppio is a metaphorical "son", being mentored to a fault by Diavolo and [[spoiler:being "born" from his consciousness]]. He also resembles what little we see of Diavolo as a young man, giving him and Trish a few physical similarities.
* EyeColourChange: Whenever Diavolo takes over, his eyes go from Doppio's brown to Diavolo's green.
* FightingSpirit: {{Subverted}}. Not only does Doppio not really fight, nor is Epitaph that helpful in attacking, it's never defined as to whether his powers are his or if Diavolo owns King Crimson since Stands are originated from souls and he and Diavolo are two separate ones.
* FishEyes: On-and-off with Diavolo's eyes. This is usually a sign Diavolo is gazing out of Doppio's body and may or may not relate to how much of Doppio is being controlled by Diavolo.
* FriendToAllLivingThings: Doppio shows protectiveness and affection for animals, including frogs and insects.
* GoodEyesEvilEyes: Doppio's irises are pink (brown in the anime) by default. When Diavolo speaks through him or otherwise takes control, they become black (green in the anime) and broken.
** Even in their base form, in the anime, Doppio's eyes never once reflect light. This subtly hints that there's something wrong with him.
* HulkingOut: As Diavolo's right-hand man, he can "channel" King Crimson's powers to see a little bit into the future or to briefly boost his physical parameters (size, strength, etc).
* IWillFightSomeMoreForever: Done during the Risotto Nero fight when Doppio decides to stay and fight while figuring out how to counteract Metallica. * MadeOfIron: Pun unintended, but, during the Risotto fight he had scissors ''burst from his neck'' and he remained standing and willing to fight!
* MeaningfulName: "Doppio" is Italian for double, which Doppio essentially is to Diavolo.
* MoodRingEyes: See Diavolo's HellishPupils.
* MoralityPet: Probably the only person Diavolo shows any degree of affection too, and he shows a sense of protectiveness whenever Doppio is in trouble. Though considering that they're one and the same person, it could be chalked up to PragmaticVillainy out of self-preservation.
* MuggingTheMonster: Apart from being commonplace in Doppio's life, something Diavolo does try to fix on occasion, Risotto Nero's battle came down to this and Secco randomly chose him to become his hostage as a last-ditch effort.
* MyMasterRightOrWrong: He's a nice person, but the Boss' orders come before anything else. He very likely would have spared the fortune teller he met in his introductory arc had the poor guy not kept prying deeper and deeper into Doppio's true nature.
* ObliviouslyEvil: Unlike his alter-ego who is ObviouslyEvil from the get go, Doppio comes off to both the cast and the audience as too silly and mild-mannered to be a threat, let alone a dangerous mafioso. Which is exactly what Diavolo wants.
* OlderThanTheyLook: Despite looking to be around the protagonists' age, he's actually the SplitPersonality of Diavolo, who is around thirty-three. Many theorize their ages look so different because Doppio is what Diavolo looked like when he was 17–19 and, being a split personality, stopped aging at that point for one reason or another.
* PlotArmor: Doppio had been on the verge of death two times, once by Risotto Nero and another by Bucciarati. For Risotto, it was just by luck that he had manipulated Narancia's Stand, and for Bucciarati, it was by luck he was mistaken for a civilian. It was the second instance that got Diavolo close to Polnareff in the final battle as well.
* ProphecyTwist: Doppio cannot manipulate the future like Diavolo does. If he predicts himself being seriously wounded, the best he can do is brace for impact and try to mitigate the damage. However, there are also times he has ambiguous visions that he is able to turn on his favor.
* PunnyName: Going back on the espresso meaning, to become Diavolo, Doppio ''doubles'' in size.
* SayingSoundEffectsOutLoud: When he gets a "phone call" from Diavolo, he'll make a ringing noise by going "Dorurururururu..."
* SeriousBusiness: He can get aggressively intense if he thinks people are preventing him from answering phone calls from Diavolo. Mostly out of loyalty, but partially out of fear.
* ShoePhone: Parodied. Doppio's main form of communication with his boss is supposedly his cell phone. But when it breaks, he starts grabbing random objects and treating them like phones, going so far as to make [[SayingSoundEffectsOutLoud ring tone noises]] himself, while being completely unaware that he's the one making those noises. Among the objects Doppio has used as phones include car charms, toy phones, and frogs. Despite this, Doppio ''is'' able to communicate with the boss by using these random objects as phones; presumably the only reason this seems to work is because the boss is his split personality.
* SlipknotPonytail: Played with. Doppio's hair is mostly pinned back in a very elaborate braid or tied back with a scrunchie and, while it doesn't come undone while fighting Risotto, somehow it becomes undone with the simple action of removing his sweater.
* SplitPersonality: To Diavolo, who acts as his SuperPoweredEvilSide.
* TechnicolorEyes: In ''All-Star Battle'', on the other hand, Player 1 colors have Doppio with orange eyes to contrast the purple. His eyes are dulled down into brown in the anime.
* TheUnfought: Doppio isn't ever fought by the heroes, apart having battled Risotto, he has a chance encounter with Bucciarati and Polnareff.
* UnusuallyUninterestingSight: Averted. People who see Doppio talking to himself in these "phones" react like any normal person would.
* VillainProtagonist: Though Doppio's fight with Risotto Nero is a [[EvilVersusEvil villain vs. villain affair]], it's structured from the perspective of Doppio. Doppio fulfills the typical hero role of being outmatched at first and trying to figure out his opponent's Stand ability alongside the audience.
* VoicesAreMental: Played with, since Diavolo technically can alter how any part of Doppio looks and may not just be external.
* WalkingSpoiler: The fact that both he and Diavolo are in fact one and the same person is a major spoiler.

Technically, he didn't really "die" from Gold Experience -- he actually dies when the Boss ruthlessly orders him to be dismantled and have his body parts used for scare tactics on Giorno.

* BaitTheDog: The anime adds in an introductory scene where he gives his EstablishingCharacterMoment. After threatening to beat up a taxi driver for not paying him his fees, the driver tells him he's trying to support his family. Without the context, it appears he's shedding a tear for him, [[MoodSwinger only to immediately get enraged and hit him with his shovel]]. * EyeScream: The origin of his nickname. Luca got stabbed in the face before the series began and though the wound was healed, it damaged his eye making it seem like he cries all the time.
* HiddenDisdainReveal: In the Sleeping Slaves [[HowWeGotHere prologue-of-an-epilogue]], Narancia states upon receiving news of Luca's death that he always hated him. While Bucciarati tells him not to say such things out loud in the gangsters' world, it can be easily assumed that he shared the same feelings, as Luca sold drugs to children.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Attacks a frog created by Gold Experience with a shovel, causing him to cave in his own skull when the attack is reflected back at him.

A higher up, or capo, in Passione. He was entrusted with an Arrow and used it and his Stand to test members coming into the gang by ordering an impossible task of keeping a lighter lit for a day. If the lighter goes out, his Stand appears and stabs them with the Arrow: if they survive and become a Stand user, they'll be allowed into the gang.

His Stand, Black Sabbath (named after Music/BlackSabbath), materializes when Polpo's order is disobeyed. It can move within shadows and control them to an extent.

* AccidentalMurder: Since Black Sabbath is an automated Stand, Polpo doesn't have direct control over its actions, so [[spoiler:the janitor's death]] wasn't of his volition.
* AmbiguouslyHuman: While it's never addressed InUniverse, Polpo's bizarre body, even for this series, throws his humanity into some doubt. He is almost as tall as his cell (about twenty feet high), morbidly obese, has black eyes, and can somehow eat his own fingers and grow them back with no problem. Polpo is so massive and morbidly obese that he nearly takes up the entirety of the cell he lives in (which should be noted is probably about 20 feet high). Hell, when Giorno first came to see him he assumed that Polpo was a yellow bed until he got up and realized that Polpo was actually just sleeping.
* FauxAffablyEvil: Polpo is an easygoing man who enjoys the pleasures of life, be they simple ones or extravagant ones. His two discussions with Giorno show him to be not only well read and introspective but how that goes hand in hand with him being an especially dangerous and calculating criminal. He's happy to wax philosophical, but then smoothly ties those philosophies into total loyalty to Passione and the justifications he has towards casual murder, with the full belief that even God would see him and his fellow gangsters as in the right.

Prosciutto's partner in crime, Pesci is very eager to please his partner and will do anything he asks. Though, he's very cowardly at first and lacks a lot of strength, not helped by his odd Stand. However, when pushed to his limit, Pesci finds his inner strength his friend always told him about and begins to fight seriously, making even Bucciarati hesitant.

Beach Boy (named after Music/TheBeachBoys) is a fishing rod capable of three things: it's capable of tracking people and literally fishing them out from other rooms, it can phase through any and all objects including skin, and attacking the line simply reflects damage onto whoever Pesci has snared.

* AdaptationalNiceGuy: The anime adds scenes which emphasize his meeker, innocent personality, making him come across as less of a cowardly, smug and overconfident person before he develops as a more ruthless assassin. It also omits him using his Stand to ensnare all of Bucciarati's team, instead having him only try to take out Bucciarati's team within Coco Jumbo via smashing them against a rock - a cruel yet pragmatic move to eliminate the team so only one member of the opposition remaining for the few members of La Squadra to potentially deal with. Bucciarati's response comes across as slightly harsh in this scenario, whereas in the manga, it was more justified.
* AndShowItToYou: A nasty ability of Beach Boy is that if the hook connects to a target's heart he can rip it from their body. He nearly killed Bucciarati in their final showdown like this.
* AntiVillain: Easily the most sympathetic member of La Squadra, and possibly the most sympathetic enemy of the Passione fights period. * FatalFlaw: Pesci's tendency to live behind words instead of actions is what brings his downfall. He quickly learns about this personal failing of his from Prosciutto and stops doing it... but during the final encounter between him and Bucciarati, Pesci starts ranting about killing him instead of just killing Bucciarati, which of course, Bucciarati uses at his advantage.
* {{Fingore}}: When fighting Mista, Mista manages to pinpoint his location after knocking him off balance. Pesci takes two bullets to his right hand, one blowing off his pinkie.
* {{Foil}}: Like Narancia, he is the "baby" of his team, a young, inexperienced gangster with an inanimate-object Stand who is mentored by another member of his squad. Pesci is childish because he initially lacks the confidence to take initiative and meekly follows Prosciutto’s orders. Narancia is childish for the opposite reasons—that is, he doesn’t think before he goes in guns blazing, ready to fill the enemy full of bullets. Ironically, Narancia has a Stand perfectly suited for killing, but isn’t a member of the assassination team, while Pesci is but has to think outside the box to turn his seemingly harmless Stand into a lethal weapon.

As his arc goes on, Pesci gets much more aggressive and finds ways to make his Stand a force to be reckoned with. At the arc's beginning, The Grateful Dead was doing the heavy lifting while Beach Boy was support, while at the arc's end it's the opposite with Pesci very nearly killing the whole team. Its one seeming weakness, the time it takes to creep to the victim's heart through their arm, even turned out to just be Pesci playing it safe instead of taking the riskier but faster direct shot.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: [[spoiler:Bucciarati kills him by hitting Beach Boy's line with Sticky Fingers causing it to lasso around Pesci's head and neck. Since Pesci is pulling on the line in an attempt to pull out Bucciarati's heart, it tightens and ends up breaking his neck.]]

Since he never spoke, or really did much of anything, the following tropes are more for Notorious B.I.G than Carne.

* AdaptationDyeJob: Carne has green hair in the manga, while the anime changes it to pink. Notorious B.I.G's "flesh" is changed to be a meaty orange as well; the manga made it white (when it was first summoned), and later, a pinkish-purple (as its blob form).
* AmbiguousSituation: It's not clear to what extent Notorious B.I.G is sapient or if there's some vestige of Carne's soul inside it, as it's clearly capable of intimidation tactics and revealing its own name to Giorno, something only Carne would've known.

* EldritchAbomination: Even by Stand standards, it's bizarre. It is immortal, able to infect the nearest organic body in order to grow as well as control those infected parts, and has an overall monstrous appearance.
* EnergyAbsorption: Kinetic energy can feed Notorious B.I.G to grow its size. Someone moving their limbs around won't grow it in any noticeable way, but the hundred-thousand RPM of a plane engine, on the other hand...
* FromASingleCell: ...is capable of growing even the smallest flecks of B.I.G into a monstrosity as big as the plane itself.
* {{Gonk}}: Carne is baffling to look at, as while his head and torso are clearly that of an obese man he looks like his arms and legs were taken from a much skinnier person. He's also oddly ''square'' in shape.

The primary ability of Ebony Devil activates when Devo is hurt, powered by his hatred of his target. The ''only'' ability from Notorious B.I.G activates from the grudge caused by Carne's death, but it's far, far more potent.
* LogicalWeakness: Notorious B.I.G targets moving objects and is immune to damage from its target. One way to damage it is by having ''B.I.G itself'' be the moving object that crashes into something, while its surroundings stay stationary; another way is by distracting it with a different source of motion stimuli while crushing it slower than the distraction can move.
* MeaningfulName: His name means "meat," as in "dead meat." Doubles as EdibleThemeNaming.
* MirthlessLaughter: In the anime, thus explaining why he has a voice actor credit, the only sound he makes other than grunts of pain after Mista shoots him is a ''very'' disturbing staccato chuckle. It doesn't help that his pinprick pupils get even ''smaller'' and he gets a really creepy smile on his face when he does it.
* NoPronunciationGuide: "B.I.G" is pronounced as "Big", not "Bee Eye Gee" like its namesake.
* NighInvulnerable: And unlike Yellow Temperance and Yo-Yo Ma, there is absolutely nothing anybody can do about it. Their best bet is to [[spoiler:drop it in the ocean]], but that just changed what it was attacking.
* NoObjectPermanence: Notorious B.I.G. will immediately let go of a victim for a faster object, showing no memory of its previous target.

The last opponent the heroes face before confronting The Boss, he's partnered with Secco. A former doctor who tormented patients that came to him, he did things like intentionally misdiagnosing them so they'd go under his knife, limiting their anesthetics so they'd begin to scream mid-operation, and inflicting pounds upon pounds of mental abuse to the elderly.

His Stand, Green Day (named after Music/GreenDay), is similar to Purple Haze, but with mold instead of toxins. Once infected, if the victim drops in altitude, the mold begins to grow and will devour the flesh of whatever it's implanted on.

* AdaptationalCurves: The manga never shows Green Day from the chest down. The [=PS2=] game opted to connect it to a slug-like lower body, and in the anime, it's given normal legs and a bit of a tubby potbelly.
* AdaptationalEarlyAppearance: In episode 10 of the Golden Wind anime, he appears in the flashback of La Squadra as the one who sliced Sorbet up. While he's presented as a shadowy silhouette, his distinctive hairstyle clearly makes it apparent that it's him.
* AdaptationalModesty: The anime and the game give him an undershirt, so the holes cut in his jacket no longer show skin underneath. There are also less holes in the anime, perhaps most notably on his sleeves; what was originally a spiderweb of missing fabric in the manga has been reduced to a single line of T-Tetronimo shapes along his outer arms. All in all, it serves to make his outfit look more like an (extremely stylised) doctor's labcoat.

Even more amazing, he's immune to the more harmful effects, so he can sever off body parts and use the mold to prevent blood loss and keep nerves connected? Geez.
* CallBack: Cioccolata's seven page/30 seconds beatdown at the hands of Giorno's Gold Experience is a direct reference to Steely Dan's beatdown by Jotaro's Star Platinum which "only" lasted three pages in the manga and roughly 20 seconds in the anime. Both are preceded by TheReasonYouSuckSpeech but in Cioccolata's case the actual beating is taken UpToEleven as [[spoiler:he is pummeled more than enough to kill him, which is followed by him landing in a garbage disposal truck]]. You could say that Steely Dan having multiple bones fractured and being launched through a brick wall is ''tame'' in comparison.

The difference is that Fugo has a genuine moral code and he keeps his darker impulses under wraps, as opposed to Cioccolata, who revels in the destruction he causes and has [[TheSociopath no morals]]. It makes sense when you consider that Cioccolata was likely meant to serve as a SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute for Fugo after the mole plot was dropped.
* EvilLaugh: Has an especially nasty, annoying and sadistic cackle in the anime adaptation.

You ''know'' you're an awful person when someone who is currently trying to murder their own daughter out of sheer and unjustified paranoia [[EvenEvilHasStandards thinks you're horrible.]] He's this to the entire organization as well and is arguably its most depraved member. * EvilSoundsDeep: He is voiced by Atsushi Miyauchi in the anime and Bill Butts in the English dub, both of whom give Cioccolata a very deep voice with some melodic inflections that fit his deranged personality.

* FantasticNuke: Green Day has such a large area of effect (effectively infinite in developed urban areas) for its deadly power that it's equivalent to a bio-weapon or dirty bomb, and the fight against him has one of the highest body counts in the entire series.
* FluffyTheTerrible: The most terrifying villain of the part, aside from Diavolo himself, has a name that translates to "chocolate". Also, his Stand's localized name -- Green Tea -- is a rather goofy name for something used for ''mass murder''.

* GutturalGrowler: In the anime, especially during his most psychotic moments, which does a great job at conveying Cioccolata's demented, bloodthirsty and feral nature.
* HatedByAll: Nobody, absolutely ''nobody'' likes Cioccolata. Team Bucciarati is horrified by the massacres he commits, [[spoiler:Secco only likes him for the money, the strength and the treats]], other Passione members are stated to call him and Secco monsters, he's a disgraced doctor and even the Boss sees him as the lowest of the low. Speaking of which, even the aforementioned Boss, as despicable as he is, has some genuinely loyal subordinates, such as Pericolo and Doppio. Cioccolata doesn't even have ''that'', and few would hold it to anyone if they weren't fond of Cioccolata.
* HateSink: Even in a cast full of gangsters and assassins, Cioccolata stands out as the vilest of the lot and anyone he comes across in-universe considers him as such (Yes, [[EvenEvilHasStandards that includes Diavolo]] who is alongside DIO the nastiest BigBad in the series). And on top of it, he's an egotistical and narcissistic asshole who thinks he's above everyone else and only cares about his own morbid view of life. There's literally nothing even remotely likable or redeeming about the guy except the very well deserved and prolonged beatdown of ''seven pages/30 seconds'' by Giorno's Gold Experience. The anime reinforces this by expanding on his backstory that shows his cruelties in gruesome detail as if to show how irredeemable the monster is. Long story short, Cioccolata is without a doubt the ''evilest'' villain of the entire series, making even the most sickeningly loathsome characters and villains look like angels in comparison.
* HealingFactor: Green Day can be used in this way, though only under certain circumstances and only for Cioccolata himself. [[spoiler:When Cioccolata dismembers himself, he animates his detached limbs using Green Day with the mold keeping him from losing too much blood. After he's launched his surprise attack, Green Day puts him back together no worse for wear]]. In the anime, he sews himself back together and Green Day's mold seems to fix his fractured bones, muscles, and blood vessels.
* TheHedonist: His life philosophy in a nutshell. Killing people and observing despair on those about to perish isn't even sufficient to him, he needs to record everything so he can watch it later as means of entertainment. And when he's not busy killing or torturing, he's living in excess.

Cioccolata has killed dozens if not hundreds of people out of morbid curiosity and the sick pleasure he takes in watching people die. His mold-infested rampage throughout Rome is also a move that makes Prosciutto's massacre of a train full of civilians look tame in comparison, giving him the highest body count for a minor antagonist in the entire series.

* LaserGuidedKarma: Cioccolata's preaching of SocialDarwinism ends up backfiring at him nicely, as he suffered a brutal, but completely deserved killing at Gold Experience's hands. Afterwards, Secco disowns him entirely, as his death ultimately proves his weakness.

Despite it turning concrete into mud, it also prevents Secco from being hit by projectiles while he's underground.

Both have the ability to accurately find their opponent despite not being able to see them, but Pesci's Beach Boy makes attacking them much easier as he is a LongRangeFighter while, Secco tends to be more suited to fighting up close. Pesci's relationship with Prosciutto is an example of ToughLove but is still nevertheless a genuine relationship where both characters care for each other. [[spoiler: Though Cioccolata does seem to care about Secco (though as a pet or as a genuine person is ambiguous), Secco was only interested in Cioccolata for his money and strength. As such when he dies, Secco doesn't go on a RoaringRampageOfRevenge like Pesci does]].

* PostFinalBoss: From our perspective, anyways, as the Sleeping Slaves arc is shown to us after Diavolo has died. In general, Scolippi isn't so much an opponent as his deadly Stand is, and he himself is a NiceGuy.
* WalkingSpoiler: Scolippi is the last character to be introduced in Part 5, and his Stand is very hard to talk about without spoiling which members of Bucciarati's team end up dead.
* YouCantFightFate: Subverted. Rolling Stones automatically manifests near those it senses will die soon, and even gradually takes the form of what their pose and status will be at death. However, if the one sensed touches it, it will give them another, less futile way to die. The victim still cannot escape their death either way.

The guards also don't honestly care if things can get into his cell, like for example guns and food.
