* NoLastNameGiven: They don't have a definite surname -- Dominic does go under the stage name Dominik ''Mysterio'' and Rey's real name is Oscar Gutierrez -- so it's up in the air just how to address them. Even in the WWE.

** Zigzagged for some of her Pokémon. Her Clodsire is Blurpleberry, her Galarian Unicorn is Pastel, and her Cottonee gets Cloud Ear. Her Dudunsparce is simply called...Dunce.
* TheGunslinger: She carries numerous types of guns on hand and uses them with proficiency, her most signature gun being her Cyber Tool, Descendant's Shadow that's part pistol.

** Why does she love screaming "Burn it down?" Because it's due to her favorite wrestler Seth Rollins.

* HypocriticalHumor: She disliked Jesse's suggestion of calling the team of her, him, Lake and Spencer as "Team Dracula". She herself was willing to name one of her Eevee's moves ''Baddie Bad'' and her rare three-segmented Dudnsparce is just ''Dunce''.

* EvilCounterpart: To Goh's parents. Both parents are dark skinned and black haired and workaholics, but Kurune and Ikuo truly care for their son and did all they could with what little information they had, letting him stay home to search for Mew and are okay with his job as a research fellow. Grace and Huxley could care less about what's going on with their daughter, not going to see a ballet recital or have ice cream with her family. Kurune and Ikuo don't push expectations on Goh but Huxley and Cecelia pushed dance lessons onto Grace. While Kurune and Ikuo have (justified) reasons to hate Chloe, they don't want her ''dead'', while the Monroe parents want their daughter to suffer.

** Cecilia is being hysterical when she screams at Grace's ear on what's happened to her, but she's not wrong at how Grace's excuses of how her child cult "isn't killing humans" doesn't help get her point across. Not to mention the hot water the family will be in when it's ultimately revealed just ''where'' numerous missing children have landed and ''what'' they've been doing. She also tells Emile that for all that they weren't good parents, neither she nor her husband taught her to be a serial killer.

* ShadowArchetype: Of Chloe's parents. Chloe's parents [[ParentsAsPeople were flawed but loved their daughter]], learn to make up for their mistakes, and be both firm ''and'' loving to what Chloe has done, hoping to see her again to see how much she's grown (with Chloe reciprocating those feelings). These two have no such thing as empathy or realizations that they're just as responsible for Grace's bitchy behavior and blame her for everything instead of working on themselves, hoping that Grace comes home so they can put her down for her stupidity and selfishness (and Grace wishing she'd never see them ever again).

* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: Grace would never a cult leader, or even on the Train to begin with, if they were much ''nicer'' and more ''concerned'' parents.

* CanadaEh: Both of them hail from Canada, specifically from British Columbia.

* RunningGag: He constantly compares Colette's job to that of a [[WesternAnimaton/GlitchTechs Glitch Tech]].

* GamerChick: Implied by Nadia. When Eva mentions Simon being homesick, Nadia brings up that it's like [[VideoGame/EarthBound1996 that RPG with the creepy fetus boss]]. Eva is an older version as she mentions that Fog Car probably functions like the "game/film" and that Simon must confront his problems before he can move on.

* WouldHitAGirl: He's willing to shoot down Celosia and Bryony without hesitation, given that their Pokémon were attacking his siblings.

* DecompositeCharacter: While Crocus-Chloe carries many of the ''Boiling Point'' Chloe's traits, Colette has BP Chloe's love of the color pink and much more cheery attitude.
* DesperatelyLookingForAPurposeInLife: She's still trying to figure out what she wants to do, but upon entering a Data Train, meeting Hop and proving herself more than worthy, she becomes a Cyber Warrior with the mission to protect her world (and others) from living computer viruses. She eventually decides to try out as a Pokémon Ranger, and by the time she appears in ''Seeker of Crocus'', she's waiting for the Almia region to respond to acceptance letter.

* NoodleIncident: How she became a Cyber Warrior is unclear, as of late. ''Seeker of Crocus'' has Gloria and Arcanum-Ryu mention something on the lines of meeting with blue fanatics that would eventually lead her to be partners with a virtual boy and a sexy vampire.
* TheVoice: ''Orchid Observer'' Chapter 8 has her talking to Colette about what she's been doing ever since some unknown incident.

* ChildhoodFriendRomance: Both of them were good friends growing up, and they would eventually marry each other.

* TheFaceless: Most of the time, his face is obscured by his hoodie or his phone covering his face. It gets to the point that in ''Seeker of Crocus'', everyone is wondering what he looks like under it. But for those who read ''Orchid Observer'' or connected the dots, he looks like Specter.

* FlowerMotifs: Orchids. His alias in ''Tuner Showdown'' is Italian for "Orchid Harm" and his belt buckle has an orchid.

* TheGhost: He's mentioned in ''Scarlet Heists'' by the Arcanum Professor Cerise as someone he ''hopes'' his daughter never meets up with.

* InTheHood: He wears a black hoodie that covers his face. This gives him the alias "Black Hoodie" before he's called Spencer Thompson. When he brings it down, [[spoiler:he looks similar to Specter.]]

** Spencer is a brilliant hacker and part of the villainous Knight of Hanoi...and he struggles with ''basic Internet lingo''.

* LiteralMetaphor: Colette makes a comment about having to shove Spencer into a closet. The Cosay parents assume that Colette is trying to hide the fact that he's gay. It turns out, Spencer is in a rechargable robot body, and his charging station is ''literally'' the closet of a hotel room.

* TheTeamNormal: Compared to the [[spoiler:hacker who works in a robotic shell]], the mirror reflection, and the girl whose gun gives her telekinesis, Jesse is the only member of Team Riconnetersi who lacks a special ability.

* ThisRemindsMeOfASong: Hearing Colette's problems over what to do with a girl she crushes on, it reminds him of a song from ''35MM: A Musical Exhibition''. Specifically it's the song, "On Monday" where the singer tries to rush a relationship.

* DidNotThinkThisThrough: Downplayed but she internally notes that Mace [[VillainHasAPoint wasn't wrong]] about what she was going to do once she got out of the Train. Thankfully, the government has programs for former passengers who she talks to every now and then as a part of therapy and they get information on how the Train works.

* EveryoneHasStandards: Lake dislikes Jesse's friends, but she thinks them running away when Ethan gets sucked into an arcade cabinet is low.

* CowardlyLion: He's freaking out over having to fight Eyeclops all by himself, but he is still able to fight back until Spencer's summon arrives to finish the blow.

''Orchid Observer'' explains straight off the bat that they ended up having to pay for Nate's medical bills and are close to repeating the school year if they don't shapen up.

* RaceLift: Since the show doesn't give any background on them, the author notes reveals that Leon -- who was AmbiguouslyBrown and wore a purple shirt and cap -- is Hindu whereas Luis -- the one with blue-green hair -- is Korean.

* SpannerInTheWorks: To Amelia; Amelia would have continued running the Train and hindering everyone's growth if Tulip didn't end up in the car that happened to host One-One.
