* CrazyPrepared: Carries a second glock for when he's busy cleaning his first glock.

* MrFanservice: Especially towards the end of season 3, there's a scene of him getting spray tanned while completely naked and another with im only in his underwear [[spoiler:after sleeping with Liv]].

* RedHerring: [[spoiler:The entire season 3 sets him up as a shady and inescrupulous man who would kill anyone for his goals, but it turns out he is just stoic and creepy mannered, but his intentions were always to make zombies live peacefully on Zombie Island while Carey Gold was the one who wanted to take down humans. It should be noted however, she used his contingency plan]].

* TheStoic: Hardly ever shows emotion and stays unfazed through most of his actions, it's not until near the end of thrid season eh satrts to show emotion.

* WhenHeSmiles: He is such a grouchy stoic guy, but when he smiles, he is shown to be able to charm anyone, even [[spoiler:Liv]].

* ShipperOnDeck: To Peyton/Ravi, specially when he gets in Teenage Girl Brain in season 3 and elects [[Creator/KatyPerry "The One That Got Away"]] as their theme song.

* KarmaHoudini: He is [[SerialKiller personally responsible for the murder of dozens of teenagers.]] Profiting from their death, he's infecting of the rich and others lead to the rise of Zombie's. Ruining tens of thousands of lives in the process. He had a low point after he lost his original business, and lost Peyton. But bounced back with a bigger business then before and even more power and influence. Ending season three on a high note [[SmugSnake smirking at a club full of new clients.]]

* FriendlyEnemy: With Liv after she cures him. Liv still hates him, but the two will banter together and can work together when necessary. To the point where she and Clive enlist his help on a case in the third season.

* FreudianExcuse: The more we learn about his relationship with his father, the more abuse we learn he suffered at the man's hands. In addition to having beaten Blaine, he also allowed their housekeeper to take away Blaine's pet dog, with the implication he had her kill it. Furthermore, Blaine also had to see Angus put his beloved grandfather in a nursing home to wrestle control of the family company and emotionally abuse his mother. Oddly enough, he chooses [[DisposableVagrant teenagers who have had the same terrible upbringing as himself and run away from home]] to feed his rich clients. His victims from season one [[{{Irony}} were people like him , killed and served up to people of wealth and power like his Father.]]

* ReformedbutRejected: By Peyton, and the whole gang, once he confesses he feigned the duration of his memory loss. He truly made an effort to turn his life around, and says he wanted to change his life and how people viewed him. He simply lied due to his own fear of rejection, not to screw over Liv and Majld. He only returns to his old ways two episodes later after his father has him shot, and even then he only kills those who try to kill him. After this the main cast ostracizes him, save an instance where Liv and Clive seek his help on a case.

* RetiredMonster: Blaine after Liv cured him in "Blaine's World". While he still runs shady operations and returns to selling utopium for a time, he is no longer the murderous villain he was in Season 1. He even tries to give his relationship with Peyton a genuine effort, but decides to tell her the truth about him faking amnesia, which causes Peyton to leave him as his lie screwed over her friends. He also no longer simply executes any subordinate who has failed him. Namely, Don E has failed and betrayed him numerous times, and yet Blaine not only doesn't kill him; but actually races to his rescue when Don is kidnapped by zombie truthers.

* {{Badass}}: Chase is surrounded by three trained mercenary zombies who all have their guns trained on him, while his own glock is disassembled for cleaning. What does he do? Whips out a second glock, and proceedes to head shot all three zombies before they can respond.

* PapaWolf: When Rita is injured by Liv, he freaks out and goes into a rage. [[spoiler:However, he later shows that he's a coward, and leaves her to die when a zombie breaks out of his lab, though she survives (but gets infected).]]

** Season Two: Max Rager's Corporation. Blaine moves his business to Shady Plots funeral home.
** Season Three: The Filmore-Graves campus. Angus & Don E (later Blaine & Don E) expand their operation out of the Scratching Post zombie-only club. Though it should be noted Liv and Clive visit to seek the two's assistance on a case; and Liv and Major have been among the patrons.

* HeterosexualLifePartners: Major and Ravi. Blaine and Don E. The latter to the point Blaine offers Don a partnership after he betrayed him, despite killing other henchman in the first season for attempting to start their own business.
* IncurableCoughOfDeath: [[spoiler:After briefly being killed and returning to life as a zombie, Blaine develops a cough that Ravi thinks means his body is degenerating. Blaine takes a second cure when the cough begins to get worse.]]

* AndThenJohnWasAZombie: Twice, first in the season one finale when Liv scratches him to save his life, although he is cured soon afterwards. A longer and possibly more permanent change occurs in "Pour Some Sugar, Zombie" when he is confronted by Ravi about being the chaos killer, revealing that the cure has been nullified when he goes full zombie from the stress. He isn't really happy about this.

** More seriously, his FreindToAllChildren nature means that any form of child abuse triggers him. At one point he [[CurbStomp Curb Stomps]] an abusive dad, knowing he might get in trouble for it, and when his former neighbors are murdered, he's more focused on avenging the son Wally, than his mother, whom he was romantically involved with.

* BadassNormal: During the Season 2 finale, Clive is able to score several headshots on a horde of Romero Zombies that are specifically targeting him, escaping without a scratch.
