----
This page contains the Barbaric factions of ''VideoGame/HyruleConquest''.
----

* BarbarianTribe: Barbaric factions are not above practices many would consider immoral, violent, or outright backwards. They tend to appear primal and even animalistic in their demeanour and customs compared to civilisations. While not malevolent or evil, they tend to have little fear of hostility, both amongst themselves and with other races. As such their societes are loose at best, often it takes the threat of outside forces or a very strong leader figure to keep them unified.

!!Gorons
A proud and powerful people, the Gorons are composed of mineral and rock rather than flesh and bone. Native to the Death Mountain range, their deadly and harsh homeland has moulded them into a strong people. In battle the Gorons embody power. Most of their soldiers are very strong in a fist fight, and even stronger if they have a weapon in hand. They are also well armored, and taking down a Goron is difficult unless they are outnumbered. Their bulky size and relaxed nature has left them fewer in number and slow on foot though, so faster armies can easily run circles around an unprepared Goron force. Despite their lethargy, no one will deny the power of a well-placed Goron punch to the face.
----
[[folder:General]]
* AwesomePersonnelCarrier: Salamander Wagons can be garrisoned by a few infantrymen who can attack from it.
* BeastOfBattle: Gorons domesticate Salamanders to bring them to battle.
* TheBerserker: Berserkers could unleash quite a flurry of punches when worked up into a frenzy.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Gorons are jovial, friendly and one of the least evil races in the setting. It is generally a bad idea to mess with them, nonetheless.
* BreathWeapon: Dodongos, who belch fire at enemies.
* CassandraTruth: The Gorons have tried to warn the Hylians of Volvagian treachery for generations, but they did not listen until it actually happens.
* DropTheHammer: Megaton hammers are the chosen weapon of the heaviest Goron infantry.
* EatDirtCheap: Rock Sirloin is prized as a delicacy amongst the Gorons.
* {{Egopolis}}: The Goron city Gor Dalagra is named in honour of Dalagra, the last Goron king who was overthrown by Dakkon.
* ElvesVersusDwarves: The Gorons (dwarfs) are enemies of the Zora (elves).
* FantasticRacism: They especially hate the Volvagians and their Lizalfos servants for oppressing them for 5000 years, and the Zora Dominion to a lesser extent.
* FierySalamander: Goron Salamanders are sprawling lizard-like creatures capable of breathing fire.
* GlacierWaif: Despite their small size and slow speed by Goron standards, Ruby Guards are extremely durable and could take many blows from enemy weapons.
* GoodOldFisticuffs: Armed with nothing but their fists, Goron Guardians are nonetheless rather durable and strong for their size and could take on armoured enemies.
* GreatWhiteHunter: Goron Beastmasters dedicate their lives to hunting of all manner of creatures. In battle, they serve as the Gorons' anti-cavalry and anti-beast specialists.
* TheJuggernaut: Goron Rams could punch a man-sized target clear across a room and smash just about anything into a bloody pulp. Their reckless power and inability to slow themselves down made them exceptionally good at charging into enemy armies.
* LightningBruiser: Gorons hit hard, with their infantry almost as strong and fast as other factions' cavalry.
* OneGenderRace: It's not very clear if the Gorons actually have females or not.
* OurDwarvesAreAllTheSame: They are shorter and stouter than Hylians, they value honour, friendship and disdain deception, they live underground inside mountains, they like heavy weapons, they have a penchant for mining and love precious rocks. The only thing that's missing is the beards.
* PowerFist: Goron Rams, including Dangoro, are armed with gauntlets to punch their enemies.
* PowerfulPick: Goron miners.
* RockMonster: A whole race of rock people.
* RollingAttack: Goron Guardians, Berserkers and Sumos have the ability to roll, substantially increasing their speed and allowing them to quickly reach enemies.
* ShovelStrike: Armed with a metal spade, Tribal Monks have a very long reach for their size.
* SlaveRace: Used to be slaves of the Volvagians.
* SnowMeansDeath: The silicon-based Gorons are deathly afraid of cold.
* StuffBlowingUp: Bomb Throwers, Bomb Platforms and Powder Keg Launchers all utilise explosives.
* TopHeavyGuy: The 'big' Gorons' legs look too small to support their massive torsos.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: Except for the heavily armoured Ruby Guards and Fire Warriors, most Gorons do not bother with tops and usually wear only a loincloth.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Darunia]]
The King of the Gorons and third in the line of Fire Sages, Darunia has led his people for over a century through countless hardships. Be it overthrowing Volvagians or fighting off the longest winters Death Mountain had faced, there was a distinct possibility that without his leadership the Gorons may have gone extinct. Darunia was known for his aggressive mannerisms, though he was quite jovial and friendly to those that earned his respect. Dancing was among his favorite pastimes and he'd search far and wide across Hyrule to listen to the music of other races.
----
* BeardOfBarbarism: He has a fairly prominent beard.
* BigFun: His friends consider him fun, loud and boisterous.
* BoisterousBruiser: Darunia's friends often consider him loud and boisterous.
* ElementalPunch: Darunia's WeaponOfChoice: fists lit on flame.
* TheGoodKing: He's an honourable, generous and competent leader.
* HotBlooded: Darunia is a hot headed, impatient, and easily angered individual.
* ImmortalityInducer: Sagehood is like this: sages don't age until they choose a successor; from that time they slowly lose their powers and continue to age again.
* MadeOfIron: Darunia participates in a battle and still fights well even after being infected with the Sage of Fire's venom!
* NonMammalianHair: He has a beard and eyebrows despite being a RockMonster.
* PlayingWithFire: Darunia was given the ability to control and manipulate heat.
* RetiredBadass: After [[spoiler: the Great Flood, he spends the rest of his life ruling his people and grants Laruto the right to pass the title of Sage of Earth to who she sees fit.]]
* TakingYouWithMe: Darunia has been poisoned by Dakkon before the Hylian assault on the Fire Temple and was slowly dying, but still participates in the battle.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Dangoro]]
Raised in the mines of the Death Mountain Crater, Dangoro has seen quite the life of hardship. After saving Darunia from a Dodongo trap, he was plucked out of his duty as a miner and and became a guardian brother. Dangoro may not have been bright, but he was quick to recognize a threat and deal with it. He traditionally wore rather heavy armor and powerful gauntlets and was not shy of ramming into and punching his targets without abandon.
----
* NumberTwo: Serves as chief lieutenant to Darunia during the Gerudo Wars.
* StoutStrength: He's heavily built even for a Goron and also one of the strongest.
* StuffBlowingUp: Dangoro can throw large powder kegs at enemies.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Daruk]]
----
* RelatedInTheAdaptation: While Daruk and Darunia are brothers in ''Hyrule Conquest'', there is nothing to indicate the former's relation to the latter in his [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaBreathOfTheWild game of origin.]]
* TheResenter: Daruk resents how his brother has become King of the Gorons and Sage of Fire after they overthrew the Volvagians together.

[[folder:Medigoron]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Biggoron]]
Perhaps the largest Goron in all of recorded history, Biggoron lived a mostly solitary life on the peak of Death Mountain. It was there that he spent most of his time perfecting the refinement of metals. His work became the basis for forging some of the Gorons' most powerful weaponry and armor. Despite his name being associated with weaponry and bloodshed, Biggoron was a pacifist at heart and created his work for the sake of art and self defense.
----
* TheBlacksmith: He spends most of his time refining weapons and forging.
* ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin: Biggoron is literally a very big Goron.
* TheHermit: Biggoron lives mostly secluded on Death Mountain, only joining his countrymen in times of war.
* LargeAndInCharge: Biggoron is huge, towering over even Ganon himself.
* OneSteveLimit: He shares his name with the chief of the Lost Goron tribes, also known as Biggoron.
* StoutStrength: The biggest and strongest Goron around.
* UltimateBlacksmith: His works are considered to be among the best in Hyrule.
[[/folder]]

!!Moblins
The Moblins are the dominant race among all species of Blins, a very old and barbaric people who at a time started worshipping Demise and invaded the Hylian people's homelands. While Demise left Hyrule after the fall of the Moblin capital, the two races kept slaugthering each other in an endless conflict ever since.
-----
[[folder:General]]
* AssKickingEqualsAuthority: Whoever bashes best is the boss.
* BarbarianTribe: Moblin society is an uncivilised, loose collection of tribes kept in check through brutal military force.
* TheBerserker: Most Blins like to charge at enemies with raw, brutal force.
* BizarreSexualDimorphism: Male Moblins are blue and have horns, females are brown and hornless.
* BladeOnAStick: Forest Blins and Moblin grunts.
* BookBurning: Most Blins are illiterate and see the books written back from Demise's time as nothing more than fuel.
* BowAndSwordInAccord: Bulblins can use both bows and clubs proficiently. Moblinox can throw bombs as well as fight in melee.
* ButtMonkey: Miniblins and (to a lesser extent) Bokoblins have been bullied and bossed around by their larger cousins for thousands of years.
* CannonFodder:
** Miniblin swarms. Ganon doesn't even flinch seeing Zelda punching a few.
** Dodoblins, who are dubbed "Suicide Blins". They're described to be expected to be thrown en-masse into enemies without concern for their own safety. A clear TakeThat to ''[[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaSkywardSword Skyward Sword]]'' on the author's part.
* CarryABigStick: Bigblins, Bulblins and some Moblins fight with clubs.
* ChildSoldiers: Most Dodoblins die in battle before becoming fully grown. Those lucky enough to do so become Durpyblins.
* {{Cyclops}}: The Hinox and their half-breed Moblinox only have a single eye on their forehead.
* ForeverWar: The first war between the Hylians and the Moblins lasted 4956 years.
* FullBoarAction: In addition to being boars themselves, they have boar riders.
* GiantMook: The Blins' Hinox allies are one of the biggest units in the game.
* GlowingEyes: Moblins, Bigblins and Forest Blins. Complete with Glowing Tears.
* GrievousHarmWithABody: Tallblins throw Miniblins at enemies as if they were rocks.
* TheHorde: Under Demise and later Ganon.
* HornedHumanoid: All Blins except Bigblins have horns on their heads.
* HybridMonster: Moblinox (Moblin-Hinox crossbreeds) and Lynelblins (Moblin-Lynel crossbreeds).
* MedievalStasis: Little has progressed in the five millennia of war between the Hylians and Moblins.
* NonhumanHumanoidHybrid: Moblinox, who are Moblin-Hinox hybrids.
* OurFounder: The Moblins can build statues of Demise, which serve as their religious conversion building.
* OurGoblinsAreDifferent: [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaTheWindWaker Miniblins]] are little weak sadists, [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaTwilightPrincess Bokoblins]] are small and cowardly swordsmen, Dodoblins (who are renamed Skyward Sword Bokoblins) [[TakeThat are weak, dumb and generally incompetent]], [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaTwilightPrincess Bulblins]] are the most disciplined and intelligent amongst the Blins.
* OurMonstersAreDifferent: Doubled. Not only Blins are different Goblins, but each subrace is also a variation of itself changing in each Zelda game.
* OurOgresAreHungrier: Bigblins, who are more bestial than other Blins and mostly only care about seeing just how many things they can smash before eating.
* OurOrcsAreDifferent: Moblins take both Tolkien and Blizzard traits. They are large [[PigMan Boar Men]] complete with fur and tusks, have little culture besides what's left of Demise's worship (such as the ruins in their capital) and are generally unintelligent, except for their leaders who are very cunning. There are also Durpyblins, who are fully-grown Dodoblins that are much smarter and concerned with survival than the juveniles, and Forest Blins, who live in forests and work as mercenaries.
* PigMan: While the similarity to a pig varies by Blin, they all share a piggish face.
* PollutedWasteland: Their homelands were turned into a barren wasteland by Hylia. Millennia of war with the Hylians didn't help either.
* [[ProudWarriorRaceGuy Proud Warrior Race]]
* ProngsOfPoseidon: Miniblins attack with tridents.
* SmashMook: Most Blins specialise in brutally charging at their enemies. There are still several ranged units, but they are not the majority.
* StuffBlowingUp: Moblinox and Hinox can throw bombs.
* ThrowDownTheBomblet: Bombs are the weapons of choice for Hinox and Moblinox.
* TooDumbToLive: Dodoblins are among the most stupid members of Blin-kind. They can barely be qualified as sapient, and even seem to lack clever animal instinct and survival skills, instead recklessly throwing themselves at (usually much larger) prey.

[[folder:King Ganon]]
Perhaps the most well-known and infamous Moblin, King Ganon was the first of his kind to unite the various Blins under a single banner since the ancient time of Demise. With his armies, he launched a horrific assault on Hyrule and very-nearly succeeded in conquering the Hylians. Were it not for betrayal in his own ranks, Hyrule might very well have fallen under Moblin rule for generations to come. Unlike most Moblins, Ganon was notably patient and a very sound tactician. His overall strategy, while not brilliant, took the people of Hyrule by such surprise that they failed to stop hordes of Moblins.
-----
* AdaptationalHeroism: Saying he's not the usual CardCarryingVillain Ganon is sufficient.
* [[spoiler: AlasPoorVillain]]
* AmbiguouslyEvil: Until TheReveal.
* AntiHero: Type III/IV Hero. Dreams of a bright future for his people [[spoiler: and for everybody else]] but he's willing to slaughter thousands to achieve it throught Triforce. [[spoiler: [[ResetButton After all, he was going to use it to bring back everyone who died because of him]]...]]
* AssKickingEqualsAuthority: That's how he got on top of the Moblin hierarchy.
* BadassBaritone: He uses Ganondorf's voice clips from ''VideoGame/SuperSmashBros''.
* BadassCape: Ganon wears a very long cape.
* BadassInCharge: He is substantialy larger than his minions.
* BalconySpeech: Ganon's speech to the gathered Blin peoples were made from the balcony of his tower.
* BarbarianLonghair: He has a mullet of epic proportions.
* BookEnds: When we first see him, his mother gets slaughtered by Hylian knights. [[spoiler: He is killed by Zelda with the same fashion]].
* BrokenTears: [[spoiler: once he realizes that he was used by Bongo.]]
* BruiserWithASoftCentre: [[spoiler: The childlike drawings of a peaceful world on his book show the softest side of him.]]
* DarkAndTroubledPast: His mother died right in front of him and most likely his father was too.
* DeathGlare:
** He gives one to Bongo when she refers to him as a "big dumb Moblin brute"
** Another one when Zalunbar refuses to cooperate.
* DespairEventHorizon: [[spoiler: When he realizes Bongo has betrayed him and left him to be killed by the Hylians, he breaks down crying and lets Zelda kill him.]]
* DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu: He defeats Dethl in the Shadow Temple.
* DisappearedDad: No mention is ever made of Ganon's father. The only thing we know about him is that he died fighting the Hylian crusading warbands before the events of the game.
* DoomedMoralVictor: [[spoiler: In a sense. Although his dream of peace is never accomplished, in the future other people, like Ganondorf, will continue to rise up against the Hylians.]]
* EvilLaugh: In-game, when fighting. He also has one just after capturing Zelda.
* FashionableAsymmetry: His right tusk has apparently never grown.
* FoeTossingCharge: Ganon does this twice: once after Zalunbar 'changes' his mind about helping the Moblins, and another after King Nohansen gives him a TheReasonYouSuckSpeech.
* FourStarBadass: The king of the Blins, and a terrifying fighter.
* FromNobodyToNightmare: Demise turned him from a little child crying in his mother's body to the leader of the Moblins and the greatest threat Hyrule has faced ever since Sulkaris.
* GeniusBruiser: Terrifying in battle, but also very smart and cunning. He brought the Kingdom of Hyrule to its knees.
* HeelRealization: [[spoiler: Ganon turns on Demise after Ganondorf convinces him that Demise has been responsible for all of the ruin that had been brought to the Moblins.]]
* HeroicBSOD: [[spoiler: Upon discovering he's been fooled by Bongo.]]
* HiddenHeartOfGold: [[spoiler: He was hiding his real intent to mantain command over the Moblins.]]
* LargeAndInCharge: Twice the size of an average Moblin.
* LargeHam: Both literally and figuratively.
* LeeroyJenkins: Ganon's presence can force enemies to charge blindly against their orders.
* LockedOutOfTheLoop: Inverted. He has some secret plan for the future in his book nobody knows.
* LuredIntoATrap: [[spoiler: Ganon is lured to the Fire Temple by Bongo, who thinks he'll compete with her when they get the Triforce from the Hylians.]]
* MilkingTheGiantCow: [[spoiler: When he discovers Bongo's betrayal.]]
* MySpeciesDothProtestTooMuch: [[spoiler: While Moblins are best know for their love to battle, Ganon wished for peace.]]
* OrphansOrdeal: [[spoiler: After losing both of his parents to the Hylians.]]
* OneHandedZweihander: He fights by waving his trident with one hand at enemies.
* PredecessorVillain: To Ganondorf, who wants to follow his footsteps conquering Hyrule.
* ProngsOfPoseidon: His weapon is an iconic trident.
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: Ganon's invasion of Hyrule. [[spoiler: Subverted that he doesn't want to destroy the Hylians, he only desires peace between them and his people.]]
* RousingSpeech: Ganon's speech to the Blins from the balcony of his tower.
* ScheherezadeGambit: When facing Dakkon, Ganon tells him that if he tries to stop him, the Moblin army would blow both of them up first with the powder kegs he lined throughout the Fire Temple, even though knowing the Moblins they'd probably accidentally detonate a powder keg on themselves after stealing them from Gorons and trying to set them up. Dakkon is won over by Ganon's bravado and lack of fear, regardless if he knows Ganon was bluffing or not. If Ganon was cowardly, Dakkon probably would have just eaten him on the spot.
* ShootTheShaggyDog: [[spoiler: He fails in his quest to get the Triforce and is unceremoniously killed by Princess Zelda, who never finds out about his dream of peace; therefore he's written down in history as a vile monster along his people.]]
* StaringDownCthulhu: When facing Dakkon, the incumbent Volvagian Sage of Fire, he earns his collaboration just by bravery.
* TantrumThrowing: [[spoiler: Throws his book into the floor when he discovers Bongo fooled him.]]
* TerribleArtist: The drawings he presents during his first mission aren't exactly masterworks, thought it is justified given Moblin nature; [[spoiler: [[TearJerker then there is his book...]]]]
* TheUnfettered: He doesn't refrain from tearing Hyrule apart to get the Triforce. [[spoiler: This becomes justified after we get to know why he wanted the Triforce.]]
* TheUnfought: [[spoiler: Where "Unfought" stands for "Cut down in a couple of blows without opposing".]]
* UnitsNotToScale: On the battlefield he is ''huge'', towering above other humanoid soldiers. Yet, in cutscenes he seems barely taller than Zelda.
* UnnamedParent: The name of Ganon's mother is never revealed.
* UsedToBeASweetKid: [[spoiler: And still is deep inside.]]
* UtopiaJustifiesTheMeans: [[spoiler:He doesn't care about the deaths he has to cause in achieving his goal, as they'll all be undone once he succeeds. Unfortunately he does not.]]
* WellIntentionedExtremist: [[spoiler: He sought to have the Triforce, even if that meant the utter destruction of Hyrule. The Well-Intentioned is discovered later when we see that he wanted to use the Triforce to stop the war and bring everyone that died back from the dead.]]
* YouFool: Yells this at the Bokoblin chief.
* YouMonster: King Nohansen calls Ganon a monster who only seeks to destroy the Hylians, rape the world and spread misery to the civilised.
* YouKilledMyFather: [[spoiler: Subverted. He wasn't looking for revenge, he just wanted to bring his mother back.]]
* YourSizeMayVary: In the battle map, he's huge, towering above entire armies. In cutscenes, he's barely taller than a Hylian.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Ogalon]]
The right-hand woman of Ganon and his personal favorite commander, Ogalon loyally served him during his grand campaign and up to his death. Like Ganon, Ogalon displayed notable patience when stacked against her kin, a trait that helped her execute the Moblin King's strategies without fault. Not much was known of Ogalon outside her unwavering loyalty to Ganon, due in part to Moblins not keeping any written records. It is unknown if she even survived her final defense on Death Mountain against the forces of Hyrule.
-----
* BladeOnAStick: Ogalon's weapon is a spear.
* FieldPromotion: In her first appearance, she's appointed general in four lines of dialogue because of the death of her predecessor.
* FullBoarAction: She fights riding a boar in the eleventh mission, a job usually left to Bulblins.
* MySpeciesDothProtestTooMuch: She's a disciplined commander, contrasting with the Moblins' belligerent tendencies.
* NotQuiteDead: After the disastrous showdown at Death Mountain, her fate is unknown until more than a century later when she's revealed to have survived and gone into hiding.
* NumberTwo: The chief lieutenant and only confidant of Ganon. She was the only to ever know of Ganon's true intentions.
* SenselessSacrifice: [[spoiler: Delays the Hylian army so that Ganon can get the Triforce... Sadly, the Triforce was never there to begin with. And then subverted when she's revealed to be still alive a century later.]]
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: Of Ganon's mum.
* TheWatson: The only person Ganon ever confides to.
* YouShallNotPass: [[spoiler: Leads the Moblin army against the Hylians while Ganon extracts the Triforce.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:King Bulblin]]
After the death of Ganon, the various Blin races once again grew apart and began conflict with one another. While not nearly as successful as the great Moblin, King Bulblin nonetheless managed to maintain a large and stable empire running in the absence of Ganon. King Bulblin respects strength above all else. This is not quite limited to physical strength: in fact, he revered Ganon so much for his intellect, as opposed to his brute force. Many of his leadership methods were emulated from Ganon himself, or rather what he was told about the Moblin King growing up.

[[folder:Ghirahim]]
Ghirahim is the first spirit abducted from the Sacred Realm by the Goddess Hylia to bind within the Master Sword - the ultimate weapon to be used by her chosen knight Link. Unfortunately, Ghirahim doesn't stay bound to the sword, and as a result, he is discarded and imprisoned in the Wizzrobe Cathedral in Vigjaro while another spirit is captured and trapped in his place. Hearing word of Demise's campaign against Hylia, Ghirahim breaks free of the Wizzrobe Cathedral in Vigjaro and offers his services and knowledge to Demise.
----
* AgentPeacock: He has a quasi flamboyant homoerotic personality, but never falters to dispose of his target.
* ArmlessBiped: Ghirahim doesn't have arms, only three blades that resembles one.
* AuthorityInNameOnly: He calls himself 'Lord' Ghirahim, but has little authority on the minions of his master Demise.
* TheBrute: He's by far the strongest servant of Demise.
* CoDragons: To Demise alongside Ganondorf, [[spoiler: until the latter's defection.]]
* EmptyEyes: Like all spirits, Ghirahim's eyes are empty and have no pupils.
* LightningBruiser: Ghirahim is fast and extremely powerful in close combat.
* NoBiologicalSex: Obviously, swords don't have genders.
* PeekABangs: Ghirahim's damaged left eye is covered in some kind of hair-substitute.
* PersonOfMassDestruction: Ghirahim is among the most powerful units in the game.
* PowerFloats: Ghirahim floats a short distance over ground.
* ProfessionalKiller: Ghirahim can methodically chop off the heads of hundreds upon hundreds of soldiers without remorse or a second thought.
* PsychoPrototype: Ghirahim is the first attempt to create the Master Sword, but he has intentions of his own.
* TalkingWeapon: This sword spirit can talk.
* WhiteHairBlackHeart: Ghirahim has white hair in his spirit form and is a huge jerk.

!!Lizalfos
Once the lords of the Death Mountain range before a defeat of at the hands of the Gorons drove them into exodus, the Lizalfos settled deep into the forests south of their homeland. After decades, they had rebuilt their brutal empire and carved their borders all throughout Faron. While many of their kin are content to hunt and dance in the newfound home, some have more ambitions to expand their holdings...
----
[[folder:General]]
* BreathWeapon: Dinolfos, a sub-race of Lizalfos rumoured to have Volvagian blood, are capable of breathing fire. Iguanalfos, who might or might not be hybrids of Lizalfos and venomous reptiles, can spit venom.
* DropTheHammer: Hammarines, Matrons and Darkhammers' preferred weapon is the warhammer.
* {{Druid}}: The Lizalfos clergy of Faron are called Druids.
* DualWielding: Darkhammers wield two hammers.
* DyingRace: The Aeralfos, an ancient breed of flying Lizalfos. Their wars with various other natives and their very picky mating habits lead to a huge decline in their numbers, and now so few of them are left that it's believed they may only be a myth.
* TheExile: The Lizalfos and Helmasaurs are native to Death Mountain, but were eventually driven out by the Gorons. They were further driven south by the Kokiri into the Faron Woods where they've pretty much settled.
* FantasticRacism: The Lizalfos despise the Gorons, who drove them and their masters from their homeland in Death Mountain. The feeling is definitely mutual.
* FantasyPantheon: The Lizalfos worship five gods: Faron, Eldin, Garnyle Og, Volvagia and Trinexx.
* FieldPowerEffect: The ectothermic Lizalfos tire extremely quickly in subzero conditions.
* FragileSpeedster: Many Lizalfos units are built for speed over power.
* GrievousHarmWithABody: Carcass Catapults can throw diseased corpses at enemies, spreading diseases and panic.
* HowTheMightyHaveFallen: Once the lords of all Lizalfos and masters of the ancient Death Mountain Empire, the Aeralfos are now fractured, and wield little power over their cousins, who blame them for the collapse of their empire. Such a fall from grace has brought shame upon their kind, and though they used to fancy themselves above battle, circumstances have forced many Aerolfos to take up arms as soldiers.
* HumanSacrifice: Lizalfos culture dictates that everyone with royal blood has to be sacrificed to their gods.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Any victim of Lizalfos Poison Spear Launchers.
* LightningBruiser: Their powerful legs make Dinolfos Footmen and Darkhammers very fast compared to other heavy infantry.
* LizardFolk: All Lizalfos are lizard people, except the Aerolfos, who are pterosaur people.
* ProudWarriorRaceGuy: Regardless of their violent tendencies, the Lizalfos do not fight out of hatred or a need to conquer, they simply think fighting is a way to show that you respect your neighbour.
* ReptilesAreAbhorrent: All Lizalfos are lizard-like humanoids; they are also one of the most violent factions in the game.
* ServantRace: The Lizalfos used to serve the Volvagians as citizens, but they split up after the fall of the old Death Mountain Empire.
* SmashMook: Darkhammers, massive full-plated shock troopers.
* ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill: In addition to impaling their victims, the bolts from Poison Spear Launchers are also coated with poison.
* UseYourHead: Helmasaur Rammers and Helmasaur Lords use their bulky skulls as living battering rams.
* WingedHumanoid: Aeralfos are otherwise humanoid except for their pterosaur wings.
* ZergRush: Ropes are tiny, weak snakes that can be produced very quickly and take up only half a population slot.

[[folder:Nardu the White]]
Hailing from the once miniscule and politically-weak Clutch of Pure White, Nardu's mysterious rise to power and assumption of Matron made her family line the most recognied overnight. There is much confusion around how Nardu amassed such power from nothing, but none dare confront her lest they encourage their own sacrifice at the altar. Though she can be incredibly violent, Nardu is a bit uncharacteristic for a Lizalfos. She believes all the Pantheon of Gods nothing but superstition, and seeks to prove that only she herself is worthy of worship by her people.
----
* AuthorityInNameOnly: Nardu is not exactly the absolute ruler of the Lizalfos, though only because she lacks the means to enforce her will.
* EvilMatriarch: The tyrannical leader of the matriarchal Lizalfos.
* TheFaceless: Nardu always wear a white full helm.
* AGodAmI: She considers all the Gods nothing but superstition, and seeks to prove that only she herself is worthy of worship by her people.
* GodSaveUsFromTheQueen: The Queen of the Lizalfos is a merciless tyrant.
* IronLady: The tough, ruthless leader of the Lizalfos.
* LightIsNotGood: Nardu's epithet the '''White''' is belied by her evil nature.
* ManipulativeBastard: How Nardu became Queen of the Lizalfos.
* MySpeciesDothProtestTooMuch: [[spoiler: After Tetra is captured by the Lizalfos, they insist that she, as royalty, has to be sacrificed to their gods, going so far as to lead an army against Nardu when she refuses to do so, unaware that she actually intends to give her to Ganondorf to buy an alliance.]]
* OnlySaneMan: In contrast to the other [[BloodKnight Lizalfos leaders]], she has far broader plans for her race.
* TinTyrant: She's rarely seen outside her iron suit of armour.

[[folder:Vakat the Winged]]
The last Aerolfos to have lived during the time of the old Death Mountain Empire, Vakat the Winged was once a respected leader of the Lizalfos people, before the Gorons drove them into the south. Now many see him as an old fool, blaming him and the other Aerolfos for losing their homeland to the Gorons. Perhaps because of so many years of shame, Vakat is a pessimist and spends his time in the wilderness alone. One day he wishes to find a a way to restore his and his people's status.

* HowTheMightyHaveFallen: Vakat used to be a powerful Aerolfos chieftain, but he lost it all when the Gorons drove him and the Lizalfos from their homeland. Vakat, now seen by many as an old fool, is a pessimist and spends his time in the wilderness alone.
* TheOneGuy: Vakat is the only male authority figure among the matriarchal Lizalfos.
* WingedHumanoid: Like all Aeralfos, he resembles a humanoid pterosaur.

[[folder:Talik the Red]]
The twisted offspring of a Dinolfos and Volvagian union, Talik the Red enjoys the cowering fear she brings forth from her people due to the blood in her veins. The right-hand enforcer of Nardu the White, Talik is brought in when brute force is needed to accomplish the Queen's ends. Talik believes herself superior to all other Lizalfos-kind, a trait likely encourage by her Volvagian parentage. She holds little respect for anyone, save the White Queen. It is unknown why Talik thinks so highly of Nardu or why she so loyally serves her, but many think the key to the Queen's power lies in their cooperation.

* TheDragon: The right-hand enforcer of Nardu.
* NonhumanHumanoidHybrid: She's the product of a Dinolfos-Volvagian union, and looks more like Dinolfos.

[[folder:Okakusha the Green]]
A Treehopper born long after the Lizalfos were driven from the North, Okakusha has defended the Faron borders most of her adult life, and not thought much of the world beyond them. She follows the deity Faron rather wholeheartedly, believing her people are fortunate that he granted them a new empire in his forest. Lately, Okakusha had become somewhat disturbed by the rise of Nardu the White and the increasing popularity of retaking Death Mountain. Why risk another collapse, when the new Lizalfos empire is just beginning to thrive in the forest?

!!River Zora
Nicknamed Zola by many in Hyrule, the River Zora are believed to be the ancient ancestors of the modern Zora. River Zora may not be civilised and may appear monstrous, though their predatory nature betrays their cunning and tactical skill. River Zora are infamous for hit and run attacks against superior forces, usually by springing from bodies of water, dealing a blow, and then quickly retreating into the water only to surface elsewhere. While they do have their own language and are able to communicate, they seem to have no interests outside of pillaging, raping, and destroying the inhabitants of villages they come across.
----
[[folder:General]]
* AlwaysChaoticEvil: The River Zora have never shown any desire to conquer lands or build cities. They seem content in destroying and pillaging villages and then leave.
* AscendedExtra: The River Zora were never intended to be playable and were originally planned to be a minor faction that only harasses armies crossing the Zora river, but the author liked them too much to keep them as a minor faction.
* AxCrazy: All River Zora in general, but UpToEleven with Zola Cannibals. Feral even by Zola standards, Cannibals are individuals that have lost all semblance of intelligence and live only to maul and feed on any flesh they can find.
* BizarreSexualDimorphism: Male River Zora (Geozards, Cyclops Ku, Swampmen, River Knights) are short, stout and bulky; while females (all other units) are lithe and bear more resemblance to the Domain Zora and the Lanayru Zora.
* {{Cyclops}}: The Cyclops Ku are humanoid creatures with only one eye.
* GiantSquid: The Bigocto Broodmother is a big, feral Bigocto barely tamed by the River Zora.
* EvilEvolves: Under the banner and organisation of Parella, the River Zora have become far more organised than their more barbaric operations prior to their arrival, armed with weapons and armour crafted from the worlds they have conquered.
* HorseOfADifferentColor: The Zola ride on big Octoroks known as Bigoctos.
* HumanoidAliens: The River Zora's origin is extraterrestrial; they have been brought to Hyrule by Bellum.
* NonhumanHumanoidHybrid: Octozora, who are Octorok-Zora hybrids.
* NonindicativeName: Despite being called ''River'' Zora, they can perfectly survive in the sea. Normally a freshwater species will quickly die of osmotic shock if immersed in saline water. Averted with the Octozora (Octorok-Zora hybrids).
* RapePillageAndBurn: While they do have their own language and are able to communicate, they seem to have no interests outside of pillaging, raping, and destroying the inhabitants of villages they come across.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: All River Zora (except Swampmen) have red eyes, and they are one of the most evil races in the game.

The true brains behind the River Zora's recent rise to power, it was Sokuuf who convinced King Zarosef to seek power on land. With enough cities on land under her control, Princess Sokuuf plots to create a new empire under her rule and to use the bountiful resources above water to outlast any River Zora King who would dare oppose her at that point.\\\

When the Parella return to Hyrule, Sokuuf leads them to the Great Sea where they begin work on locating their master Bellum.

[[folder:King Zarosef]]
One of the various kings fighting for power amongst the Zola, King Zarosef believes he came up with the idea of invading the races on land to expand his empire. He thinks little of his own soldiers and works only to see that every village he comes across is looted and devastated.

!!Ocean Blins
When the Goddess Hylia defeated Demise and scorched the Moblin homelands centuries past, a group of Moblins fled Hyrule and took to the seas. These Blin eventually settled on the northwestern islands of the Great Sea and maintained a primitive empire. When the first wave of Hylian explorers arrived several hundred years ago these Moblins violently killed them and stole their ships, eventually learning how to build and operate the craft. Soon after these Moblins took to the seas and began raiding and pillaging other peoples such as the Anouki and Rito.\\\

In current times, Moblin colonists of Hyrule had set out to explore the Great Sea and came into contact with their Ocean Blin cousins. Consolidating their resources, the Moblins of Hyrule have upgraded and outfitted the Ocean Blin ships with better weaponry and manpower. Now lead by Malladus, the Ocean Blins seek to become an established empire rather than a collection of pirates and raiders.\\\

The Ocean Blins pack a powerful close ranged navy. Many of their ships are equipped to ram into enemy ships and are rather sturdy. On land they display many of the same advantages that their Moblin cousins had: adept at charging into and trampling enemies head on. The Ocean Blins are lacking in ranged firepower however: both on land and at sea. Their ships can be outgunned by archers and cannons if they don't manage to close the gap.

[[folder:Malladus]]
Malladus was an obscure and often laughed at warlord in the Ocean Blin fleet for most of his life. !!Anouki
The Anouki are one of the few races native to the Islands of the Great Sea. Though they are primitive even by Hyrule's standards, they have outlasted the mighty and advanced empires that ravaged these lands in the past. Part of their success is their homeland and adaptability to its environment: a wasteland in a near perpetual state of winter.\\\

The Anouki are primarily a hunter-gatherer society. Though they have no bias against the developments of other empires, they prefer to stick to their traditions and simple way of life even after being exposed to technology. This attitude often gives the Anouki a reputation for being stubborn and stupid, though this is not exactly the truth. In the distant past the Anouki had a major war with the Yook, also natives of their homeland. After the war nearly destroyed both peoples, a truce was signed that divided their homeland. For centuries neither side has violated the agreement, though the Yooks have migrated away from their homeland as far south as Hyrule.\\\

The Anouki have a huge advantage when fighting in snowy and icy terrain. This makes them a very defensive faction as this bonus does not apply to fighting in most other types of environments. The Anouki army is one of speed; they can usually outmaneuver and position their infantry and sleds in strategically important locations before other armies can. The Anouki have a rather unremarkable navy of small canoes and brigs.
----
[[folder:General]]
* BeastOfBattle: The Anouki tame Pengators, a penguin-like predator to use as auxiliary troops and pull sleds; and the Pirogusu, a fish that inhabits the sea around their homeland as cannon fodder.
* BeastMan: Deer men.
* BodySled: Pengators can use their own bodies as sleds to accelerate themselves on ice.
* ColdFlames: The Tupilait, evil spirits summoned by Qaldoketos, wield blue fires that freeze instead of burn.
* FantasticRacism: In the past, against the Yooks. It got better, though.
* HighUpIceUp: The Anouki homeland, a mountainous wasteland perpetually covered in snow. Most other races get nasty penalties in subzero temperatures, where the Anouki excel at.
* HomeFieldAdvantage: The Anouki excel at fighting in winter, snow or tundra.
* HornedHumanoid: As expected, being deer men.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: Any victim of an Anouki harpoon.
* MasterOfNone: The unremarkable Anouki navy.
* StealthExpert: The Tariakssuit have spent their lives mastering the art of hiding in their snowy environment and ambushing enemies. They are deadly assassins able to vault across harsh terrain with ease and slip into the snow to hide.
* SufficientlyAdvancedBambooTechnology: Despite being made of sharpened stone, Anouki spears are one of the best in the Great Sea.
* SuperSoldier: Kholdstare Forsworn, who have pledged their lives and souls to the Anouki god of malice and pain, Kholdstare. They have constantly exposed their bodies to ice, numbing their senses and making them immune to most pain.
* WarriorMonk: Qaldoketos are Anouki mystics that are nonetheless quite proficient with halberds.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Kholdstare]]
Kholdstare is a Druthulidi-like creature worshipped by the Anouki as their dark god of malice and pain. It is commonly associated with ice and numbing cold.
----
* EldritchAbomination: It is not clear what kind of creature Kholdstare is. It is similar to the Druthulidi, but is younger than all of them, having been actually born on Hyrule.
* GodOfEvil: Or of malice and pain, in this case.
* AnIcePerson: It's associated with ice and numbing cold.

[[folder:Honcho]]
Honcho serves as the Chief of his village and is one of many members of the Anouki ruling council. He was responsible for signing the peace pact with the Yook and promoted peaceful understanding between the Anouki and outside races. In his old age he has become extremely pacifistic, possibly to the risk of the Anouki being taken advantage of by superior enemy forces.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Yeketo]]
A young woman of the Anouki, Yeketo has spent much of her time climbing cliff faces and practicing the Anouki art of Qoyrot, or Cliff Carving. She spends most of her time avoiding duties and creating pictures along the northern cliffs, much to the dismay of her village. She has long been a friend of Zunari, the lone Hylian raised in her village.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Zunari]]
The son of two Hylian explorers, Zunari has lived his entire life among the Anouki. His father died in youth and his mother continued to raise him until her death in old age. Zunari has led an awkward life trying to fit in with the Anouki, and has long wished to leave and go in search of his people. His attachment to his childhood friend Yeketo has kept him from leaving the Anouki.

[[folder:Aroo]]
A disgruntled warrior of the Anouki, Aroo's opinions often clash with that of Chief Honcho. He believes the Anouki have became pushovers and weak and thinks they should conquer their homeland rather than share it with the Yook.

* PowerfulPick: Goron miners.

* [[ProudWarriorRaceGuy Proud Warrior Race]]

* DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu: He defeats Dethl in the Shadow Temple.

* FromNobodyToNightmare: Demise turned him from a little child crying in his mother's body to the leader of the Moblins and the greatest threat Hyrule has faced ever since Sulkaris.

-----
* BladeOnAStick: Ogalon's weapon is a spear.

Hearing word of Demise's campaign against Hylia, Ghirahim breaks free of the Wizzrobe Cathedral in Vigjaro and offers his services and knowledge to Demise.

----

Perhaps because of so many years of shame, Vakat is a pessimist and spends his time in the wilderness alone. One day he wishes to find a a way to restore his and his people's status.
----
* HowTheMightyHaveFallen: Vakat used to be a powerful Aerolfos chieftain, but he lost it all when the Gorons drove him and the Lizalfos from their homeland. Vakat, now seen by many as an old fool, is a pessimist and spends his time in the wilderness alone.

Talik believes herself superior to all other Lizalfos-kind, a trait likely encourage by her Volvagian parentage. She holds little respect for anyone, save the White Queen.

The collapse of the Empire transpired during her sleep, and such a fall was probably only possible because of her absence. Many of the remaining Volvagians seek to find and awaken her. Perhaps with her massive might taking wing, none will be able to stop their return to power.
----
* EvilMatriarch: If her 'Mother of Tyrants' moniker is anything to go by.
* LargeAndInCharge: If you think Dakkon was big enough, he looks like a midget compared to Vyorsoth.
* MotherOfAThousandYoung: The majority of surviving Volvagians are descendants of Vyorsoth.

----
[[folder:General]]
* AmazingTechnicolorPopulation: Ocean Bokoblins have green skin, compared to their land counterparts' blue.
* CarryABigStick: Bigblins, who wield large rock clubs.
* CloseRangeCombatant: On the sea, most Ocean Blin ships prefer to ram than to fire.
* DropTheHammer: Doom Knights of Ganon wield large hammers.
* DualWielding: Ocean Blin Warriors wield two scimitars.
* FullBoarAction: All Blins are humanoid boars.
* GlowingEyes: Their eyes glow, complete with Glowing Tears.
* HornedHumanoid: Blins are bipedal like Hylians and have horns.
* PigMan: All Blins are bipedal boars.
* {{Pirate}}: The Ocean Blins live upon pillaging the Rito, Anouki and other races in the Great Sea.
* RammingAlwaysWorks: The main strength of the Ocean Blin navy.
* SmashMook: The Ocean Blin navy is mostly close ranged, with many ships designed to ram into enemies, but can be outgunned if they can't close the gap.
* StoneWall: Shield Blins wield huge tower shields that make them very resistant towards arrow fire but slow and cumbersome in close combat.
* SufficientlyAdvancedTechnology: The Blinagicians' rockets are considered to be magic by the less intelligent Blins.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Malladus]]
Malladus was an obscure and often laughed at warlord in the Ocean Blin fleet for most of his life. Recently he has suddenly and mysteriously taken control and united the various Blin fleets under his command, assuming the title of Emperor and launching land campaigns against the Islands of the Great Sea.
----
* BadassLongcoat: He wears a rather exquisitely-woven longcoat.
* TheCaptain: Of the Ocean Blin fleets.
* ChainedByFashion: Malladus wears chains inside his coat.
* FourStarBadass: The Ocean Blin Emperor and a very strong warrior.
* FromNobodyToNightmare: From an oft-ridiculed pirate captain to the Emperor of the Ocean Blins.
* InNameOnly: The only resemblance Malladus has to the [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaSpiritTracks original one]] is the name.
* LargeAndInCharge: Malladus is around the size of Ganon.
* SeadogBeard: This pirate captain has a very prominent beard.
* ShouldersOfDoom: The epaulets on Malladus' longcoat are big.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Vaylanon]]
The self proclaimed daughter of Ganon, Vaylanon set out in pursuit of Tetra with her small fleet of Moblin warships. Upon discovering the Ocean Blin she quickly pledged her loyalty and soldiers to Emperor Malladus. She currently trains and leads the Ocean Blins in land battles with her band of Doom Knights.
----
* BadassCape: Vaylanon's cape is quite magnificent.
* DropTheHammer: She wields a large maul like her Doom Knights.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Chancellor Cole]]
Cole once served as a powerful noble in Labrynna prior to its fall. After the flood took what was left of his people, Cole financially supported the construction of Tetra's fleet in hopes of finding a greater purpose in the Great Sea. He quickly did, and just as quickly betrayed Tetra to serve Emperor Malladus. His motives are now unknown, though it can only be assumed he wields powerful information to earn the mercy and alliance of Malladus.
----
* AristocratsAreEvil: He's a Labrynnian noble and definitely not a good guy.
* EvilChancellor: An advisor of Malladus who doesn't care for his lord, country, or indeed anyone but himself.
* HornedHumanoid: Cole has grown two horns in imitation of the Moblins.
* TheStarscream: Cole plans to kill Malladus and replace his place without the Blins knowing.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Byrne]]
The mysterious figure the Blins call Byrne, little is known of this sole Lokomo survivor. It is rumored that he is responsible for Malladus' sudden rise in power and sudden conquest campaign of the Great Sea. What secrets and power he has given to Malladus can only be terrible.
----
* {{Cyborg}}: Byrne's left arm has been replaced with a cybernetic one.
* TheDragon: The right-hand man of Malladus.
* FourFingeredHands: Byrne's cybernetic left arm has only four fingers.
* PointyEars: Two very long vertical sharp ears.

* BeastMan: Deer men.

[[/folder]]

----
* ImmigrantParents: His parents are both Hylian explorers who settled in the Isles of Frost.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Aroo]]
A disgruntled warrior of the Anouki, Aroo's opinions often clash with that of Chief Honcho. He believes the Anouki have became pushovers and weak and thinks they should conquer their homeland rather than share it with the Yook.

Despite their lethargy, no one will deny the power of a well placed Goron punch to the face.

!!Darunia

* NonMammalianHair: He has a beard and eyebrows despite being a RockMonster.

* TakingYouWithMe: Darunia has been poisoned by Dakkon before the Hylian assault on the Fire Temple and was slowly dying, but still participates in the battle.

!!Dangoro
Raised in the mines of the Death Mountain Crater, Dangoro has seen quite the life of hardship. After saving Darunia from a Dodongo trap, he was plucked out of his duty as a miner and and became a guardian brother. Dangoro may not have been bright, but he was quick to recognize a threat and deal with it. He traditionally wore rather heavy armor and powerful gauntlets and was not shy of ramming into and punching his targets without abandon.

* NumberTwo: Serves as chief lieutenant to Darunia during the Gerudo Wars.
* StoutStrength: He's heavily built even for a Goron and also one of the strongest.
* StuffBlowingUp: Dangoro can throw large powder kegs at enemies.

!!Daruk

* TheResenter: Daruk resents how his brother has become King of the Gorons and Sage of Fire after they overthrew the Volvagians together.

!!Medigoron

!!Biggoron
Perhaps the largest Goron in all of recorded history, Biggoron lived a mostly solitary life on the peak of Death Mountain. It was there that he spent most of his time perfecting the refinement of metals. His work became the basis for forging some of the Gorons' most powerful weaponry and armor. Despite his name being associated with weaponry and bloodshed, Biggoron was a pacifist at heart and created his work for the sake of art and self defense.

[[folder:Moblins]]
The Moblins are the dominant race among all species of Blins, a very old and barbaric people who at a time started worshipping Demise and invaded the Hylian people's homelands. While Demise left Hyrule after the fall of the Moblin capital, the two races kept slaugthering each other in an endless conflict ever since.

-----
* AssKickingEqualsAuthority: Whoever bashes best is the boss.
* CannonFodder:
There are also Durpyblins, who are fully-grown Dodoblins that are much smarter and concerned with survival than the juveniles, and Forest Blins, [[CaptainObvious who live in forests]] and work as mercenaries.
* PigMan: While the similarity to a pig varies by Blin, they all share a piggish face.
* PollutedWasteland: Their homelands were turned into a barren wasteland by Hylia. Millennia of war with the Hylians didn't help either.
* [[ProudWarriorRaceGuy Proud Warrior Race]]
They can barely be qualified as sapient, and even seem to lack clever animal instinct and survival skills, instead suicidally throwing themselves at (usually much larger) prey.

!!Demise
-->''See Druthulidi''

!!King Ganon

-----

* [[spoiler: AlasPoorVillain]]
* AmbiguouslyEvil: Until TheReveal.

* DeathGlare:

* PredecessorVillain: To Ganondorf, who wants to follow his footsteps conquering Hyrule.
* ProngsOfPoseidon: His weapon is an iconic trident.

!!Ogalon
The right-hand woman of Ganon and his personal favorite commander, Ogalon loyally served him during his grand campaign and up to his death. Like Ganon, Ogalon displayed notable patience when stacked against her kin, a trait that helped her execute the Moblin King's strategies without fault. Not much was known of Ogalon outside her unwavering loyalty to Ganon, due in part to Moblins not keeping any written records. It is unknown if she even survived her final defense on Death Mountain against the forces of Hyrule.

-----
* BladeOnAStick: Ogalon's weapon is a spear.
* FieldPromotion: In her first appearance, she's appointed general in four lines of dialogue because of the death of her predecessor.

* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: Of Ganon's mum.
* TheWatson: The only person Ganon ever confides to.
* YouShallNotPass: [[spoiler: Leads the Moblin army against the Hylians while Ganon extracts the Triforce.]]

!!King Bulblin
After the death of Ganon, the various Blin races once again grew apart and began conflict with one another. While not nearly as successful as the great Moblin, King Bulblin nonetheless managed to maintain a large and stable empire running in the absence of Ganon. King Bulblin respects strength above all else. This is not quite limited to physical strength: in fact, he revered Ganon so much for his intellect, as opposed to his brute force. Many of his leadership methods were emulated from Ganon himself, or rather what he was told about the Moblin King growing up.

!!Ghirahim

* NoBiologicalSex: [[CaptainObvious Obviously]], swords don't have genders.

[[folder:Lizalfos]]
Once the lords of the Death Mountain range before a defeat of at the hands of the Gorons drove them into exodus, the Lizalfos settled deep into the forests south of their homeland. After decades, they had rebuilt their brutal empire and carved their borders all throughout Faron. While many of their kin are content to hunt and dance in the newfound home, some have more ambitions to expand their holdings...

----
* BreathWeapon: Dinolfos, a sub-race of Lizalfos rumoured to have Volvagian blood, are capable of breathing fire.

* ReptilesAreAbhorrent: All Lizalfos are lizard-like humanoids; they are also one of the most violent factions in the game.
* ServantRace: The Lizalfos used to serve the Volvagians as citizens, but they split up after the fall of the old Death Mountain Empire.

* ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill: In addition to impaling their victims, the bolts from Poison Spear Launchers are also [[CaptainObvious coated with poison]].

!!Nardu the White

!!Vakat the Winged
The last Aerolfos to have lived during the time of the old Death Mountain Empire, Vakat the Winged was once a respected leader of the Lizalfos people, before the Gorons drove them into the south. Now many see him as an old fool, blaming him and the other Aerolfos for losing their homeland to the Gorons. Perhaps because of so many years of shame, Vakat is a pessimist and spends his time in the wilderness alone. One day he wishes to find a a way to restore his and his people's status.

----
* HowTheMightyHaveFallen: Vakat used to be a powerful Aerolfos chieftain, but he lost it all when the Gorons drove him and the Lizalfos from their homeland.

!!Talik the Red

----
* TheDragon: The right-hand enforcer of Nardu.
* NonhumanHumanoidHybrid: She's the product of a Dinolfos-Volvagian union, and looks more like Dinolfos.

!!Okakusha the Green
A Treehopper born long after the Lizalfos were driven from the North, Okakusha has defended the Faron borders most of her adult life, and not thought much of the world beyond them. She follows the deity Faron rather wholeheartedly, believing her people are fortunate that he granted them a new empire in his forest. Lately, Okakusha had become somewhat disturbed by the rise of Nardu the White and the increasing popularity of retaking Death Mountain. Why risk another collapse, when the new Lizalfos empire is just beginning to thrive in the forest?

[[folder:River Zora]]
Nicknamed Zola by many in Hyrule, the River Zora are believed to be the ancient ancestors of the modern Zora. River Zora may not be civilised and may appear monstrous, though their predatory nature betrays their cunning and tactical skill. River Zora are infamous for hit and run attacks against superior forces, usually by springing from bodies of water, dealing a blow, and then quickly retreating into the water only to surface elsewhere. While they do have their own language and are able to communicate, they seem to have no interests outside of pillaging, raping, and destroying the inhabitants of villages they come across.

----
* AlwaysChaoticEvil: The River Zora have never shown any desire to conquer lands or build cities.
* EverythingsSquishierWithCephalopods: Bigoctos, which are [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin big octopodes adopted to an amphibious lifestyle]].

!!Bellum
-->''See Druthulidi''

!!Princess Sokuuf
The true brains behind the River Zora's recent rise to power, it was Sokuuf who convinced King Zarosef to seek power on land. With enough cities on land under her control, Princess Sokuuf plots to create a new empire under her rule and to use the bountiful resources above water to outlast any River Zora King who would dare oppose her at that point.

When the Parella return to Hyrule, Sokuuf leads them to the Great Sea where they begin work on locating their master Bellum.

----
* DragonInChief: Though Zarosef holds the title of King, Sokuuf is the one really in charge.

!!King Zarosef
One of the various kings fighting for power amongst the Zola, King Zarosef believes he came up with the idea of invading the races on land to expand his empire. He thinks little of his own soldiers and works only to see that every village he comes across is looted and devastated.

----
* BadBoss: Zarosef thinks little of his own soldiers and works only to see that every village he comes across is looted and devastated.

!!Baruuda Kan
A faithful servant of Princess Sokuuf, Baruuda Kan has little in the matter of personal goals other than to smash open some heads. He's more pet than officer, and more of a brute than tactician. Regardless, many other twisted Cyclops Ku follow him for his slight intelligence over them, and Sokuuf plans on using that trait to keep the mindless monsters under her control.

----
* TheBrute: Baruuda Kan has little in the matter of personal goals other than violence.
* {{Cyclops}}: As a Cyclops Ku, he only has a single eye.
* DualWielding: Two halberds.

!!Archduke Neighleth
An Octozora hybrid, Neighleth was one of the few privileged members of his kind amongst the Zora Domain. When the Zora turned on him and his kind Neighleth orchestrated an attack and fled with as many survivors as he could. He has since made an alliance with the River Zora, who welcomed him and his soldiers willing to topple over the Dominion.

----
* TheBeastmaster: As an Octozora, he was able to domesticate the Octoroks and Bigoctos and put them in service of the River Zora.
* TheExile: After the Octozora's banishment from the Zora Dominion.
* GlowingEyesOfDoom: Neighleth's eyes are glowing green.
* NonhumanHumanoidHybrid: Being an Octozora (Octorok-Zora hybrid).

* TheExile: They used to be the rulers of Death Mountain, but have since been forced to live in a diaspora after being overthrown.
* MoreDeadlyThanTheMale: Female Volvagians, known as Clutch Queens, though few in number, are much larger and no less cruel than the male Serpents.
* NonhumanHumanoidHybrid: Volvagian Half-Breeds, hybrids between Volvagians and Dinolfos, have a humanoid body plan.
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: They are dragon-like creatures with a metallic external skull, razor claws, and magma breath.
* SkullForAHead: Volvagians don't have flesh nor skin over their skulls.

!!Dakkon
The Sage of Fire, King of the Volvagians and Death Mountain during the rise of Ganon. After Ganon takes control of Death Mountain from the Volvagians and their Goron slaves, Dakkon betrays the Kingdom of Hyrule for Ganon, being impressed by the latter's bravado and lack of fear when facing him. The Gorons protest, but are driven out of Death Mountain after their leader Darunia is bitten by Dakkon and infected with his venom.

When Ganon's fortress is attacked by the Hylians and Gorons, Dakkon lends his Volvagians in defence, but is incapacitated by Darunia. With many of his fellow Volvagians slain and injured, Dakkon flees Death Mountain across Hyrule and into the Gerudo Desert. The Volvagians promptly lose their supremacy over Death Mountain to the Gorons.

Dakkon later joins [[spoiler: Ganondorf in the latter's invasion of the Kingdom of Hyrule.]]

----
* AdaptationNameChange: Dakkon's original name was [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaOcarinaOfTime Volvagia]].
* AffablyEvil: Dakkon is both a calm, contemplative individual and a brutal, oppressive tyrant.
* BreakThemByTalking: Dakkon is so impressed by Ganon's bravado that he betrays the Hylians for the Moblins.
* BreathWeapon: Dakkon is fond of manifesting his powers via this.
* ChekhovsGunman: The Volvagian on the cover? It's him.
* ImmortalityInducer: Sagehood is like this: sages don't age until they choose a successor; from that time they slowly lose their powers and continue to age again.
* LargeAndInCharge: He's by far the biggest male Volvagian and is huge compared to his Lizalfos subjects.
* LargeHam
* NeverFoundTheBody: He's seen last time [[spoiler: getting impaled by Rauru]], but his final fate is unknown. It later turns out he has escaped to the Great Sea.
* PlayingWithFire: Dakkon had powers over fire until he lost his Sagehood to Darunia.
* PoisonousPerson: Like all Volvagians, Dakkon's saliva is venomous.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: Dakkon only appears very briefly in a couple of scenes, but he's the sole person responsible for the Volvagians' downfall and the Gorons' rise to power.
* TheStarscream: To the Kingdom of Hyrule. He makes himself appear as a close ally only to betray them when it's beneficial for him.
* TokenEvilTeammate: Amongst his contemporary Sages, none of whom comes close to his degree of tyranny.

!!Vyorsoth
The oldest surviving female Volvagian and the source of the Brood's entire bloodline, Vyorsoth departed Death Mountain to slumber deep beneath the earth.

[[folder:Ocean Blins]]
When the Goddess Hylia defeated Demise and scorched the Moblin homelands centuries past, a group of Moblins fled Hyrule and took to the seas. These Blin eventually settled on the northwestern islands of the Great Sea and maintained a primitive empire. When the first wave of Hylian explorers arrived several hundred years ago these Moblins violently killed them and stole their ships, eventually learning how to build and operate the craft. Soon after these Moblins took to the seas and began raiding and pillaging other peoples such as the Anouki and Rito.

In current times, Moblin colonists of Hyrule had set out to explore the Great Sea and came into contact with their Ocean Blin cousins. Consolidating their resources, the Moblins of Hyrule have upgraded and outfitted the Ocean Blin ships with better weaponry and manpower. Now lead by Malladus, the Ocean Blins seek to become an established empire rather than a collection of pirates and raiders.

----
* AmazingTechnicolorPopulation: Ocean Bokoblins have green skin, compared to their land counterparts' blue.

!!Malladus

!!Vaylanon
The self proclaimed daughter of Ganon, Vaylanon set out in pursuit of Tetra with her small fleet of Moblin warships. Upon discovering the Ocean Blin she quickly pledged her loyalty and soldiers to Emperor Malladus. She currently trains and leads the Ocean Blins in land battles with her band of Doom Knights.

----
* BadassCape: Vaylanon's cape is quite magnificent.
* DropTheHammer: She wields a large maul like her Doom Knights.

!!Chancellor Cole

!!Byrne

[[folder:Anouki]]
The Anouki are one of the few races native to the Islands of the Great Sea. Though they are primitive even by Hyrule's standards, they have outlasted the mighty and advanced empires that ravaged these lands in the past. Part of their success is their homeland and adaptability to its environment: a wasteland in a near perpetual state of winter.

For centuries neither side has violated the agreement, though the Yooks have migrated away from their homeland as far south as Hyrule.

----
* BeastOfBattle: The Anouki tame Pengators, a penguin-like predator to use as auxiliary troops and pull sleds; and the Pirogusu, a fish that inhabits the sea around their homeland as cannon fodder.
* PettingZooPeople: Deer men.

!!Kholdstare
Kholdstare is a Druthulidi-like creature worshipped by the Anouki as their dark god of malice and pain. It is commonly associated with ice and numbing cold.

!!Honcho
Honcho serves as the Chief of his village and is one of many members of the Anouki ruling council. He was responsible for signing the peace pact with the Yook and promoted peaceful understanding between the Anouki and outside races. In his old age he has become extremely pacifistic, possibly to the risk of the Anouki being taken advantage of by superior enemy forces.

!!Yeketo
A young woman of the Anouki, Yeketo has spent much of her time climbing cliff faces and practicing the Anouki art of Qoyrot, or Cliff Carving. She spends most of her time avoiding duties and creating pictures along the northern cliffs, much to the dismay of her village. She has long been a friend of Zunari, the lone Hylian raised in her village.

!!Zunari
The son of two Hylian explorers, Zunari has lived his entire life among the Anouki. His father died in youth and his mother continued to raise him until her death in old age. Zunari has led an awkward life trying to fit in with the Anouki, and has long wished to leave and go in search of his people. His attachment to his childhood friend Yeketo has kept him from leaving the Anouki.

* ImmigrantParents: His parents are both Hylian explorers who settled in the Isles of Frost.

!!Aroo
A disgruntled warrior of the Anouki, Aroo's opinions often clash with that of Chief Honcho. He believes the Anouki have became pushovers and weak and thinks they should conquer their homeland rather than share it with the Yook.
